Does anyone else have periodic "lockups" on their Nikis?

I'm running the standard Orange customised firmware, and it regularly just saves messages into the drafts folder rather than sends them, takes ages (well maybe 10-20 seconds) to respond when attempting to send.

Any when there's no signal, why doesn't the SMS system just keep the messages in the outbox until there is a signal? It just says "message can't be sent" and stick the message in the drafts folder.

Is this just standard windows mobile? If so, its pretty poor - Symbians messaging systems work absolutely perfectly in comparison.

I have same problem. I even think the response from pushing the button to the letter is on the screen is god damn slow.

Thats got a lot worse as well of late - its responding very slowly to typing, and missing key presses.

I thought it could have been something down to the number of texts stored - I had about 800 in there, cleared them out, have run the various registry/other cleaners (Pocket Mechanic), and that hasn't made the slightest difference.

Tomorrow I'll be putting the SIM card into the N73 - apart from the calendar, the Niki doesn't seem to have much going for it at the moment
