View Full Version : MDA Touch Screen Not Working Sometime?

Last week I had a problem of getting my MDA operational. Thanks to some of you, you helped me and I got it working. Now I have a problem with the Touch Screen not working sometimes. I find that in the morning after a complete 100% charge overnight, my Touch Screen does not work and is very sporadic. I can get it to work and then all of a sudden, it will stop working. I will do a Soft Reset/Power Off and then it will work for a while. I have even did a Hard Reset and Restored my previous backup (SPB Backup) and that won't resolve the issue completely.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Again, Thank you for just reading this thread. I do hope that there is a solution for this like there was for my previous problem.

Having the same problem with my tytn II think it might be rom i loaded. if i can't find any fix i'll have to switch roms... it's a shame was really starting to like this one (sleuth's wm6.1 v3.0)

I personally don't believe it is the ROM. I have flashed 3 ROMS in the past two days and still encounter the same problem. See my other posting on Flashing ROMs.

Still looking for an answer.

Will post, if I find one.

Thanks for your help. If I play with the MDA and hold it tight or grip it tight, it will accept touchscreen taps sometimes. The other problem I am encountering now is that the Start Up Menu flashes on and off without me tapping it. I assume that it is a loose connection, but I am afraid to open the MDA up. I did look at the Service Manual. I would not know where to start and what to look for.

I have a sporatic touch screen as well but with a twist, the select key will by defauld do a right click whan I use it to navagate pocket plus icons. Firmware, hardware, screen?
