Hi there,

My phone has recently started to cause problems, it gets stuck at the boot screen for WM Black Dymond, then won't go any further.

I have tried to update to Hard-SPL V7, then flash my ROM to the newer WM Black Satin, but ActiveSync won't even detect my device in the boot loader, even though it knows theres USB connectivity, ActiveSync just won't detect it.

Also, if i go into my PC's Device Manager, under the "Windows CE USB Devices" i can see "HTC USB Sync"

So i am not sure what is going on and why ActiveSync won't work.

Any ideas?
If this information is of any use, heres whats on my boot loader screen.

Update-

I have tried to install Black Satin without ActiveSync syncronization, it gets to 1% and then the phone reboots and the utility says image file is corrupted.

download "satin" again. check out wiki for Black roms. should find site from there. Also if you wanna try without computer to upgrade, try sd card. format sd card to fat 32, copy ruuimage.nbh. rename to hermimg.nbh. put in phone. go to bootloader and follow the prompts. I find MUCH SAFER than through usb. Make sure you have more than 50% battery. Should be no probs.. Happy flashing...:)

Ps satin is an older rom now, you should check out some of the newer ones... Pays, Schapps, TNT and Pandora's to name a few. :)

Activsync won't recognise your device in bootloader, that's normal. You should still be able to flash via usb though. Check out this guide:
