I have spent some time compiling and modifying the original tools, and writing a graphical, user friendly application. Please do not post this elsewhere without first contacting me.

If any ROM chef wants a cut down version of this, PM me and I'll see what I can rustle up...

Prophet tools is a new way to unlock, upgrade and setup your device.

As far as I know, you cannot flash a ROM with vista. If I had vista on my PC, I would try to work out why, but as of yet it can't be done.

Which page is that on? Forget that, found it... Will upload a hot fix soon...

Hotfix is up: Download 2.7 and replace the Prophet Tools.exe.

I think that is a file not found error... You still need to download the "Prophet Tools 2.5" but replace the exe with 2.7...

Hello I3v5y, can you tell me if it's possible to use an older RUU in your fantastic tool kit?

My XP machine died and am stuck with my new laptop running Vista - discovered how to use the Update Utility (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=291723&highlight=Vista)

but it has only worked for me using the attached RUU (quite old, but works) - I'd like to give your tools a try with my next ROM, but know that if I use any of the newer RUUs it'll crash.

My tool simply calls the normal RUU. Unfortunately, it calls a file named G3.exe or G4.exe. If you replace either of those files (in the ROM folder) with your tool, it shouldn't matter. Make sure you rename the file to g3 or g4, and make sure you select the device type that you replaced the RUU with...

It might be easier just to use the RUU as it is.

Your RUU is indeed the one that works with Vista, but only suitable for G3 devices.... On a G4 you will error 300.

I am having trouble using your tool. I have updated to 2.7 and made sure I have the latest updates for XP. I have a G4 with ipl/spl v2.13. I am a newbie to flashing so I maybe have not done some step which is important.

I booted to the tricolor screen plugged in the USB cable closed the ActiveSync comm driver [also tried it with it still active] then tried to use your tool but it just keeos crashing.

I hope you can tell me what I am doing wrong because I really want to get rid of the buggy standard ROM.

Have you replaced the original Prophet Tools.exe (in the main package) with the exe provided, or are you just using the exe provided on the first post.
Try running the tools from the root of a drive (C:\) rather than the location they are in currently.

this problem solve... my wrong... i just drag n drop the zip file... after i properly extract the file it's ok... but when run hardSPL " EROR(208): FILE OPEN" came out and below message

"The update utlility can not open the requested file.Please check your Update Utility"

What is your SPL information?


If you have done it. It should be like this

2.G4.4PDA for PPC G4 or 2.G3.4PDA for PPC G3.

If you forget it. you have to Flash it back to your Original ROM. Or using PDA VIET Temp ROM.

Or take a look at dioxda2 thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=353547"). He explain everythings there.

As far as I know, you cannot flash a ROM with vista. If I had vista on my PC, I would try to work out why, but as of yet it can't be done.

i've seen an upgrading patch for that, but cant figure out where!?!?! lol

Edit: I found it on my hard drive but as i dont use Vista i dont know how to use this driver. U have to update this driver on your pc.

I just downloaded v2.8, extracted *.* to C:\, and when launching "Prophet Tools.exe", I get "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application" on my WinXP. Any idea? Thanks.

Are u insane? U can't stay away from .NET. Even Linux comunity like it and are trying to port it (mono project). .NET is here to stay, saves hours, days, months to developers.

1st - Before doing anything i have to HardSPL, right?
2nd - If i use the Prophet tools 2.8.2, i can do everything with just that software?I mean, HardSPL, both ROM and MWM5>MWM6 updates??
I ask this because i want to continue using my Prophet but it's over 2 years old(you know that, it means its a little out of date in trems of tecnology) , anda i don´t have almost €600 to buy the new HTC Diamond.
Now a word in Portuguese:
Tugas!, sou básico nestas cenas e quero continuar a usar o S200, será as perguntas que fiz em cima estão correctas?
Já vi que afinal os tugas dão cartas nestas coissas, agradecia uma ajudinha.

You can use Prophet Tools to do things...


What you need to do is first SIM unlock your device which can be done from within PT, and then apply Hard/Soft SPL (I'd recommend SoftSPL if you're not going to do much flashing) before flashing a ROM.

Flashing ROMs with the Prophet only works on XP and some earlier Windows OSes.

Hi everybody,
I am new here and therefore first I would like to thank to all for the helpful information and for all the tools!
Now my problem:
A couple of days ago after charging my Prophet (G4) it was switched of by itself.
When I switched it on again I had only vertical stripes (after the bootinformation like SPL).
I found some tools here and flashed it, but there are still only vertical stripes .
I have downloaded "Simplify Flashing--V2.8.3" from here (thank you I3v5y!).
But I can*t do the HardSpl, I got the message "No device connected", but it is connected.
Can somebody help me?

But I don't need applications for WM6.1. I need a way to let run my Prophet again.
Like described before:
It doesn't run anymore, it stops with vertical stripes, also after flashing it with WM6.1 (at least 6x done!).

Umm... Hopefully relatively soon... I've been rather busy recently...

To just unlock the device, try this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=265928). It should work with the Prophet.
