Hi guys,
I'm hoping to use my P3600 as an mp3 player, but what I'm wondering is which miniUSB to 3.5mm adapter is the best?

The one with a lead....

or the one without?....

I'm using the Y-cable available at expansys.com, and it works fine, because you can charge your phone at the same time that you hear music through the 3,5mm headphone. It also works fine connected to my living room hi-fi.

I use the y shaped one as it allows me to play mp3's and gps directions through my car stereo as well as charging the device at the same time.

I'd be most interested in an adapter with microphone breakout as well as
headphones - then I could use it as a hard disk audio recorder!

cheers

Hi,

I don't believe that the mini USB jack has a mic in signal there. However, I might be wrong - are there any headsets that are wired and that provide in AND out capabilities? If yes, and one works at the TRIN, it should be possible.

My dopod d810 came with a wired hands free kits which plugs into the USB port, and provides stereo ear buds as well as a pod that has a button (for answer and hangup(?)) and a mic on it....

didnt you get one as well?

Hi,

I don't believe I got anything like that with mine. Maybe I should check the package again? ;)

However, obviously, there are all necessary connectors avilable. Good!

expansys now has usb adapter by htc. converts 'special' miniusb into 2.5mm, 3.5mm, and 'special' miniusb + a miniusb for recharging + mic. it works great :), $20
