Alright T-man!

The ROM is working flawlessly so far! AutoCabs worked, and QuickMenu is working, and SMS is working just fine!

However, I tried downloading the HTC_Dialer.cab, and when I use the dial pad, the background is all white except for the dial pad. Is there some way we can fix this?

I think I found a very small bug. If you compare Poorlyducks vista suit thread, His original calculator display is much easier to read. In OpenTouch 4.0 biggy vista my display background is the same as the rest of the buttons. Either the font needs to be brighter or we need to fix the display background.

Other than that everything is working great. Thanks so much ttran!:D I was also checking a few times daily over the last week to see when it was released.

The dialer is not the same as the htc_dialer, its more like the htc touch dual style so if you use the htc_dialer.cab it will mess it up.

I will post how to change the background later one.

PIMBackup has the option to b/u contacts with multiple numbers...it even remembers their ringtone - MAJOR time saver. It's in the accessories folder of the start menu. Rightous prog to get used to using, saves a lot of time when flashing ROMS and it can be scheduled to run an auto back-up of any files you want.

Im kind of used to being able to press the top left button on the wing, and it accesses the comm manager. now it enters voice dial, and in the settings their is no choice to have the button direct to comm manager...any ideas?

I just dont get it with the UC auto install feature.... I tried the biggy vista v2 and the biggy open touch v2 but they just dont auto install the cabs from sd card... I also tried using the program AutoCabs but it didnt work.... :confused:

On the vista rom however, After a reset and you want to brighten up the screen, The phone freezes. That's the only issue i've seen.

To add the comm manager to the list of choices you need to make a shortcut to it within the windows\programs\accessories folder.

I'm using the 4.0 Vista Style and have been having a problem with the MMS not connecting. I keep getting a "error synchronizing" when I go to send/receive. This happened to me in Biggy 3.0 also.

Does this look right? I haven't messed with the size limit in the registry yet, I would only be able to send a bigger nothin' :D

SMS threaded is working without any issues.

I might have found a way around the Quickmenu issue, I went to \Windows\StartUp and deleted the Qmenu icon, then went to the quickmenus options and unchecked all startup functions as describe in a earlier post by "dumpydooby". Soft reset. After the reset I went to \windows\appButtons and copied the Qmenu shortcut back to the \Windows\StartUp folder. Qmenu has started up every time since. Of course, now that I have posted this, it's gonna disappear! :)

just tried the latest version of biggy vista 2. cannot start a new sms or mms. only way to start a sms is thru programs/ accessories / sms

I installed the new v4.0 but am having a few problems.. When I initiate the Autocab feature it goes for about 3 seconds or so and then restarts. Also sometimes when I go to the keypad to make a phone call, only the talk button is showing and I can see the call logs... (It functions properly sometimes when I do a soft reset) But may eventually act up again.

Go to your windows folder and look up Batterystatus. click on it and you should get a message that this program is disabled and to make changes you must enable this program. click ok.. then you should see it on your home screen

HTC Home proxy plugin is not working with this ROM. I am not able to download weather on tmobile tzones plan with proxy server set up even after installing the proxy patch.

other than that, the rom is running real smooth. thanks for the great work ttran!

I gotta admit I'm very happy with this. Audio Manager doesn't break MMS and the Wifi buttom in commanager works. Both were issues I were seeing when installing poorlyducks vista apps on OT3 myself.

Their is a simple registry hack for palringo to allow it to work through the tzones proxy, if you do that, then i choose palring to be one of the best.

I should have said this rom is for folks that have been flashing roms before and not new folks. The flashing process is different than the ones for the other versions of my releases.

While on a phone call (automated) it asked me to press #3 to get to customer service, when I did it rebooted the phone.

When I am in the text message window and go out of it, the command center window pops up.

The rest will be pretty much standard WM6.1 stuff.

Remember if you have never flashed your device before, do not use this version.

Installation instructions are included with the download, I think your device needs to be HARD-SPL for it to work.

I can not verify if it will not work without HARD-SPL since my device is already HARD-SPL.

Autocabs - this is pretty much UC, I just made it where you can use it when your ready instead of during the flashing process.

Read up on UC and you will understand more.

As for the SMSMode, I removed that feature while trying to fix the MMS/SMS issue and forgot to add it back in. I don't have a cab for that rite now, but will try to create one later on once I have more time.

It's the one with Vista Style, it does not have voice command.

I can only fit either the cube or voice command since they take up pretty much the same amount of space.

I thought I upated the first page with descriptions of what' included and what has been fixed. Let me double check then.

You simply copy the file to your mirco sd card and softreset with the camera button on, as you would to enter the bootloader menu.

You will be prompted what to do next on the screen.

The main reason I created a micro version was to enable folks to install what they wanted on their device without having to cook their own roms.

Thats why I left the rom pretty much original and unbranded except for the splash screens..

I could have striped it down even more but then it would not be functional.

I want the rom to work even if you dont want to install more apps/cabs to it.

To be honest if your in the bootloader menu the battery status should not matter.

I have notice that if you flash your device via activesync and if your battery is lower it will prompt you with an error.

Second attempt was untethered. Same result as the first attempt.

Third attempt - noticed I was holding camera button down through the white screen flash, so I tried to release it the moment the flash happened. Results: same as first two attempts.

Seems to confirm the need for Hard-SPL. Will be reading up on that now!

To give a better idea of what is happening, it appears to send a message you can see a percentage going up when you hit the status icon at the top but the message remains in the outbox with a clock over the icon for the message. It is never moved to the sent items box.

From what I remember, you just install the three cab files in the correct order.

Then run the ROMUPdateUtility.exe it will flash your device with canonyang.nbh which is what they are refering to as the RUU.

Here are the notes from papa:

1. install canonyang.cab
2. install aserpolicy.cab
3- install disablesecurity.cab

4. SOFTRESET

5. run RUU from Hard-SPLWM6 folder verison 4.70.yang - ROMUpdateUtility.exe
6. screen will become white - WAIT until it reboots itselfe.
7. done!

"the file audiomanager cannot be opened. either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. if the problem persists try reinstalling or restoring the file."

I absolutely love your roms, running 3.0 lite right now, I ran 4.0 but had the problem with mms-sms so went back to 3.0 for the time being. The only problem that I can seems to get rid of is the tray icon "connect to" when I plug my device into my computer. Every time I do it throws off all of my icons and such. Is there any way to get rid of this icon?

A couple of things: How is the battery life for you folk? I haven't made a phone call all day, gotten a few texts, used Google Maps a few times and the internet & my battery has gone from 100% to 36% in 8 hours.

Also, does Activesync keep popping up for anyone else? The "auto time zones" tab in the Phone settings is missing to disable it.

When soft-resetting sometimes my screen is unresponsive @ the SIM unlock screen. It takes anywhere from 1-3 additional soft-resets to make the screen respond.

One more thing (I think): I get a message to the effect that sending an MMS message will end my current connections session & start a new one & I have to push menu>yes to send it, as well as to receive them. Is this normal or do I need to make an adjustment somewhere? MMS is working by the way.

If I have any more issues I will post them. Great ROM thus far, now that I figured out some things/settings.

I forgot to say that you need to format the sd card fat32.

Also make sure the name of the file is HERAIMG.nbh and it's at the root of the sd card.

If not it will not work.

If you had WM5torage 1.8 installed then you could activate it and your sd card would show up as a drive then you could format it there via my computer and right click and choose format and then fat32.

Don't know if it helps anyone, but I was having major problems with data connections. I found that the connection would change on me by itself. I had to go to Start>Settings>Connections>Connections>Advanced>Select Networks and the box that says "Programs that automatically connect to the Internet should connect using:" & change it from My ISP to T-Mobile. It was really driving me crazy! Don't know if this will help anybody else or if it was just some kinda isolated incident for me (since I haven't heard any other reports regarding any of the issues I posted about).

As for the speed are you comparing that to the speed you were getting from the original rom or from your old wizard?

Please remember that the wing only has a 200mhz processor compared to other devices with 400mhz.

The touchflo cube is there you have to activate it, please read the FAQ section on how to activate it.

i was comparing it to the stock rom, but i didnt give it enough of a chance so yes it is an improvement, as far as the cube goes i had no idea how to get it, but messing around i figured it out u have to swipe up or down

so yes give me a chance and ill be able to be a pro at the herald and let others know the pos and the neg of the roms i use

the thing most considerate you have done is making it so that we dont have to do a hard spl for some of us that would rather leave it as stock as possible for now at least

I'm using the 4.0 Vista Style and have been having a problem with the MMS not connecting. I keep getting a "error synchronizing" when I go to send/receive. This happened to me in Biggy 3.0 also.

I posted this on page 28 but one thing I noticed when I was messing around today was when I went to send a box came up saying basically had to switch connections and the right soft key became a menu with "yes" and "no" as options. When I hit the yes it killed the T-mobile data connection to connect to the T-mobile MMS connection and the message went out fine.
The box only lasted a second or two and there was no notice to bring it back up. Could there be a way to default to the MMS when sending or make the data "on demand" instead of always on?

**That seemed to do it, if I'm not connected to data I can send/receive MMS without problems. Kinda weird since I haven't had issues with that before.**

voice command takes about 4mb of space and the cube is almost the same size. If I add both then the rom will be very large and people will complain about the lack of space. Voice speed dial only requires less then 1mb so thats why I included it. Since some people want vc, some want both and some want only vsd.

Im just trying to make as many people happy as possible.

Im just guessing here but I think people with the data plan and not the proxy plan are not having issue.

I've asked already but would like folks to help me out here. I don't want to waste more time debugging the rom unless I'm 100% sure we have issues with mms/sms.

I know that there are some folks having issues but its really strange why some don't.

Please work with me to produce a better rom for you.

I will redo the entire rom if needed but want to be sure first.

Nice Rom. You know I had to try the micro. Its got some nice features. Fast. A bit different way to Flash than I was used to. However, without Internet Sharing, I can't use it -- damn. T-Mobile is my only ISP. I can't log onto the Internet without it. I tried David's .cab but I can't get it to work.

I had to reflash back to Open Touch 3.0 ZCink/Lite which I'm very happy with. Since I'm in the Flashing mood, I may try one other rom I like with the new radio and custom splash screen I made.

I'm happy!:D I hope the MMS issue isn't tooo bad. Just wonder if there was a connection transfer written into earlier versions of the software. I have the $19.99 internet plan from T-mo; switched from the $29.99 plan. I didn't see any difference in theme to cost $10.

I wonder if they are handled different by T-mo? :confused: I haven't noticed anything different while browsing.

I just noticed the difference with data on/off. My data tend to stay connected for checking mail. If that's the case, I can live with disconnecting data to send MMS. I haven't quite got that lazy.;)

about the screen "freezing" at the password screen. I too was using a password, the screen isn't actually frozen it just takes about 30 to 45 sec. to load. I watched for my battery status task bar indicator or internet connection to pop up and then put in password and it will boot right up. u can enter password before but when u hit unlock it looks frozEn for that amount of time. hope it helps.

I am using the Vista version and I have not had problems sending SMS or MMS. I have the unlimited data plan. It is definitely faster than the stock ROM. I am over clocked at 286MHz. I have also noticed that the program memory is less "leaky" than the V3.0. Great work!

I downloaded the video bundle cab. I can't seem to get the videos to play on TCPMP. I get a file format error. In v3 I could just tap the video and it would pull up TCPMP and start playing. Is there a setting I need to modify?

Ttran, wow is all I can say! 4.0 is amazing and you did some great work on this I can tell some long hours were put into it.
I just downloaded the 4.0 tonight, (I waited patiently for the beginning bugs to get worked out), and after I flashed it over to my phone, I began setting up some small things, (I never really change a lot just put in email accounts etc.), I added the music player plugin to the today screen just playing around. Well after doing so all the phone did was restart and upon the phone restarting it was froze everytime it hit the today screen.
I couldn't get it to stop restarting.
The only thing that I could do to fix it was to install the base Tmobile OS as a hacked OS wouldn't load as the custom bootloader didn't have time to initialize before the phone restarted.
Once I put the original rom on the phone I flashed 4.0 on once more and haven't had any problems thus far, but I haven't tried to add the media player plugin back on to my today screen as it isn't important to me.
So perhaps someone would like to test that on their phone to see if they get the same effect, the only other setting I had done to the phone before it did that was add a wireless connection and setting my phone to T-Mobile.

No issues with sending/receiving MMS or SMS.

However, I am seeing an issue where MMS suggests words instead of contacts in the "To" field. For example I start to type "Dazed"(contact listing for my friend) and instead of suggesting "Dazed (1234567890)" it suggests the word "Dazzling". It suggests the contacts correctly when creating a new SMS.

The other issue I'm seeing, this is semi-often, is that when I close a program commanager pops up and I have to exit it also to get back to the today screen.

I'm also seeing a slight memory leak. On softreset I'll have between 22-24mb memory, but after running and closing a few programs it's down to 15-18mb with nothing running at all. This may be related to my using S2U2 or customising HTC Home though.

Other then these couple issues, I'm loving this ROM. It's at least a 1/3rd again faster then OT3 biggy, and for some reason I can overclock higher. I'm running steady at 312mhz!

Edit: For xyexz, I'm using the today screen music plugin with no issues.

Due to the taskbar or PBAR in the upper right corner I am unable to utilize the Wisbar theme I like. Wisbar can not locate what it is so it does not bother with removing/skining/moving along with the other buttons on the top bar. So when I click it, it causes WA3 to error out stating shell error and locks my device. How do I remove it from the rom or just not let it show. I had no problem in 3.0 because I used the zcink lite. Oh and TTRAN, you are the ish... we need a poll going with an award for ROM COOKERS.

TTRAN I'm installing the micro version tonight. I really didnt have time last night. Big Projects. Anyways, I looked at the list and noticed that the Opera Mini/Jbed was not included. Do you have a cab for these? Everything else (Audio Manager/Plugin etc...)i'm pretty sure I have. Its just that I love the way you have the browser configured on your roms. I hate to sound dumb, again, but I have been all over these threads and forums - even on other sites that talk about this HardSPL and other devices - none with a how-to for wing owners... I dont really understand what it is doing that helps with the checksum or otherwise... If any of you could drop me a line with some links I can read more - it would be much appreciated... I went out and bought a cheap t-mobile to go phone from WalMart for $20 until I can figure out what to do with this hunk of junk Wing... It worked great for a wile, died... I deleted a bunch of things, installed battery status and it worked well for 3 months... 4 days ago it decided to never answer calls, lock up on the contacts list when I scroll with the keypad and just be unresponsive to me... I darn near threw it out until I read these threads here - and all the work you all have been doing... It is the original Wing - with windows mobile 6 professional... CE OS 5.2.1235 (Build 17740.0.2.0).. I do not have a clue where I put the original box for it - so I want to make sure I dont lose the license to use the windows software - key? ... anyhow - could someone clue me in - is Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional roms that you are putting out here under the GPL or other open source licenses? Or, are they just copies of something you got and then modified for others to use? Not that I care much about MS and TMobile selling me a somethig that didt work well from the beginning - I just want to know...

All that said - I am excited to try my first "upgrade" and see what it does now that I dont need the phone any more... that $20 to-go phone works flawlessly and is a lot faster to call and connect... it has no features but I did notice it had a much better speakerphone... pretty sad seeing as I pay full price for the Wing when it came out...

So - I'm going to wait to see if there are any more releases for this today - then pick the latest - can you post a link at the end of each day to the most recent release?

I have installed the "Open Touch v4.0 Biggy | WM 6.1 | Vista Style | Voice Speed Dial | No Voice Command" version on my P4350 and it's working great.
I'm very pleased with the speed and the functionality of this super ROM

But I have encountered one little problem but I am not sure if this is a ROM related issue. Forgive me if this is not the case.
I have my P4350 pairing to my HP laptop with Vista Home premium using bluetooth. The laptop has discovered all the services of the P4350 incl. the telephone audio gateway.

When someone is calling me, the laptop automatically answers the call and I can hear through the speakers of the laptop the caller but the otherway around... the caller can't hear me.

I've checked multiple time all audio config settings on the laptop.. the mic on the laptop is working (checked with MSN).
I've also checked all settings known to me of the P4350 (bluetooth, audio etc )

Coudl it by possible that there is something wrong with the build in BTAUDIO package is this ROM ???

Thanks man. That fixed it. The TCPMP version I found is 0.74 which I think is a previous version to what came with Vista V4. Probably not a big deal.

V4.0 vista style is still humming along. I tried overclocking up to 312, but that was a no go for my Wing. 260 seems to be the right setting for mine.

@ttran... or anyone using the micro version. Is there a reg key that tell the os which formats are acceptable for ringtone??? The standard ringers ARE included in the windows directory HOWEVER only .amr format seem to be an acceptable ringtone. I dont recall this behavior in previous versions . Also noticed that windows media player has been removed... Yayy!!! No complaints there...just used to having it even in a clean rom, but again Glad that its gone.

Im just guessing here but I think people with the data plan and not the proxy plan are not having issue.

I've asked already but would like folks to help me out here. I don't want to waste more time debugging the rom unless I'm 100% sure we have issues with mms/sms.

I know that there are some folks having issues but its really strange why some don't.

Please work with me to produce a better rom for you.

I don't think the entire ROM needs to be redone. I am on the proxy plan & as stated earlier, I now have fully functioning web & MMS/SMS. My only issues (if you want to call them that) are freezing on the SIM unlock screen & Activesync pops up all the time! Other than that this ROM is grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat!

This was the first release of the micro, I'm going to add more stuff back in to it. I just wanted to see if people were going to be able to use it or not.

Java and ring tones will be readded to the next upload on Monday.

The noise from the phone is due to the new raido i think. It should only happen when you place your device next to a computer.

If the device is not close to a computer then the noise should not appear.

This happens to other phones as well.

Something not right about the startup. Quickmenu wont remain as the start menu, i tired dumpydooby's "fix" but still wont fix anything for me. I also dbl checked to see if Quickmenu was in the "Startup" folder, and it was. Seems like the ROM isn't running the startup folder properly.

Batterystatus doesn't like to remain on the today screen after Soft reseting. I have to constantly go to settings>today>items and enable BS.

However, the ROM is REALLLY fast!! fastest one so far. Im not sure if what BS is telling me is right or not, but it's showing 27.4MBs of free ram!!! :eek:

conclusion, GREAT ROM!! small fixes are required.

I am having a problem with your rom, I can no longer get Destinator 7 to run. When It does, It only goes to the menu and then crashes, but I lose the top menu bar and it only shows the top portion of the Destinator splash screen. The only thing I can do is soft-reset.

Well while I was looking thru the different progams in the phone, I found the setting to "auto close activesync". I did that and the error never came back up. I have asked multiple friends to MMS me (same people that I was having problem getting their MMS) and they came in without problems...

To correct this issue:

Go to Start>Settings>Personal>Sounds and Notifications> Go to the notifications tab and select "Messaging: New Text Message"

Check the option for "Flash Light For" Then in the drop down select the number of minutes you want the light to flash for. Hit ok and now you should have a flashing orange light for new SMS messages that will flash for the duration you choose.

This option was not selected on my phone after loading Vista 4.0

No need to reinstall BS. Just go to settings > Personal > Today > Items. Highlight BatteryStatus, Make sure its checked. Then tap "Options", then uncheck and recheck the "Show Plugin on Today-Screen" (if already checked), then tap "OK" button on the top right. Go back to your Today screen and you should see it there again.

That option has always been there, even in v3.0. It doesn't stop it from popping up all the time however. I'm gonna uncheck it, then recheck it & reset to see if I can make Activesync stop.
