AT&T 8525

Hey,
I just bought and AT&T 8525 and i have just unlocked it. What do i do before i can install a new rom onto the device? I have tried installing the AT&T update, it goes through sucessfully, but the device still says that there is only wm5???


What is the problem?

Any help would be appreciated!

I. Read the XDA-Wiki, think, and search then post later.
II. There is no problem w/ AT&T update. Well, actually, there is one problem; you must read carefully before you pick the one.

AT&T rom probably IS wm5. Look for a cooked rom, they run better anyway. Make sure you hard SPL your hermes BEFORE flashing another rom though. Makes it easier to fix if something goes wrong... Cheers:)
