SKYPE is unable to run under WM6.1?

My device is CINGULAR 8525, I updated the system to WM 6.1, kernel version is 5.2.19174. SKYPE 2.1/2.2 is unable to run under WM 6.1 right now, I installed SKYPE successfully, either CAB or EXE file. But after I tap the icon on TODAY screen, it jumps out.
SKYPE was running well under WM 5.0 and / or 6.0.
Who has experience to run it under WM6.1?

Sorry if I'm not much help, but it does work for me (under 3g Skype or any other program has never worked under WIFI for me)

Maybe the problem is the kernel 19174.
And I could not run skype on some of kernel 19199.
Wondering pay more attention to WM6...

As I said, on Shadow 2.1 TE - WM 6.1 (build 19199) works Skype without problem and I have no problem also on other WM6.1 ROMs! If You have Hermes, use version, I have mentioned in my first post here, because other versions are NOT working on this type of device (it is caused by device, not OS).

Processor is the problem. Hermes processor is build on arm9 architecture and Skype does not support it anynore (only messaging works). In other words you need a device with arm11 processor or the earlier version of Skype which supported arm9.

I can confirm that I have tried the current windows mobile version of Skype, available here (http://www.skype.com/download/skype/windowsmobile/download.html), and it works well over WiFi with the two latest WM6.1 roms by Dvha79_ddt. The older betas I had been using did not work.

I'm running the latest version of Skype (v. 2.2.0.37) on PDAviet WM6.1 (build 19900). It runs pretty fast. Faster than on any ROMs I have tried. Before I cannot use it as PPC to PC call but now its just like pc to pc call, with the absent of video though. I used it over WiFi.

works for me now also (build 19199).

I read somewhere on the net a while ago that Skype personel was working to get Skype work with arm9 architecture again, apparently they did it.
