baklaonoy this seems broken in all the recent builds. Have patience, bepe is already trying to fix it.

Findings so far:

When entering device ID in "About" the 20-key keyboard won't switch back to small letters. It types small letters, but the keyboard shows like CAPS is locked.
I still get a faulty connection and MMS setup. Last time it was ok was on .58.
On the German .64 build the speed is back. There is no lag anymore anywhere.
How about including a prepatched HTC Home so people can use any city off the accuweather.com site?
And if you'd do the above, you could look into extending the ROM Settings for editing the location. Kind of like the HHC weather dialog.

Bubble breaker is gone now. Is there a cab file available for it? Also I am syncing properly with the exchange server at work. I have not had a problem with it in any version. 6.4 is working great for me.

When activating voice command using a button on the phone it starts and listens for the command and works properly. How ever when you activate it using the bluetooth headset it will start up and work, but now it also turns on the display and the phone app by bringing up the keyboard. Before the bluetooth would just do what ever command without starting the display up.

It is working fine for my Motorola headset... what head set are you using?

Crying, which Radio ROM are you using? 1.58.25.14? If you do, downgrade to the official shipping Radio, 1.58.23.21 and your Bluetooth problems should be gone.

The problem with exchange server is only in the process automatic synchronization via active sync (Cruise). If you made a send and receive mail account (exchange) from inside PocketOutlook, mail arrives and is sent.
The problem is to synchronize via ActiveSync, because if I do get a synchronization i have nothing (no mail, no contacts, no Calendar)

One question, if we wanted to help you add keyboard layout support for different languages, how would we go about doing it?

Just a summary of using .64 standard last night for a few hours.

1) bluetooth bug still exists on boot up(not a unique thing I'm sure)

2) When using rom settings to enable the two tabs on home screen (music and profiles), you CANNOT using the cruise jog wheel/dial to navigate those two, it stops at the 4 tab from the right and will not scroll to the last two. If you go into the registry and delete the Tabsetting key, then remake it yourself, reload home screen plugin, you CAN navigate all 6 tabs with the jog wheel/dial. i don't know waht the difference is between my craeted from scratch reg key and the one that is there alraedy or what rom settings creates.

3)the labels/text on the cube apps when rotating appears quite slowly. not a big deal, just never noticed this with other versions of the rom. Maybe the frames were increased a bit so that labels take longer to load on each side.

4) The phone would freeze on me on boot up, but I think it was because a setting i used in scahpps advanced config (disconnect gprs after 10 seconds). Not your problem, just a warnign to tohers, i think that was the cause. Had to hard reset 3-4 times because of it.

Other then that looks pretty good. have not done much else testing. When i ifrst flashed it it was really responsive, then after 3-4 hardrests it seems to have slowed down, so now i might flash again. haha

Tab ( ghi ) gives ( jkl ), tab ( jkl ) gives ( mno ) ect ect.

I don't know if it was a radio firmware bug, but my BT unit stopped working, and the FM-radio stooped working as well. I don't recommend to install the test radio ROM.

USB HDD, WM5torage does not work with Polairs.
Only Softick Card Export 3.08 works with it.

What radio are u talking about? FM radio?? that number u give is the RadioRom!
a rom inside the rom which is for gsm/3G signal strenght/BT/WIFI and another stuff IN the phone.
if u can call/ use wifi/ BT u 1.58.21.23 RADIO is working;) But you obviously meen the FM Radio

so if i lose my phone a personn can access all my mobile data easily ( without particular knowledge ).

Which pin code are you talking about? Sim pin code? that one only protects sim usage, everything else might work depending on the device. I haven't tried with my polaris but I have a N70 and there's a offline profile, equivalent to the airplane mode, and in that case you can even work without a sim, therefore no sim pin code.

You mean the password... yes, that is a big security problem. But it is a HTC problem I think, bc the cube should not open in that case.

you could disable the cube... I know that is no real solution but I don't think I can do something about this

I reflashed the phone again going through the spl process again and bubble breaker is back and voice command ios working properly again. But it broke the exchange sync. No error message it just says that I stopped it. This is in bot 63 and 64. So I am back to 62 and it is workin properly. Let me know when you need some one to test the exchange sync. That's one feature I have to have.

I am trying since yesterday rom your full on my Cruiser and find fantastic (even turn for the donation) the only problem that I can not install on any map tomtom as always asks me the activation code. I also tried to activate it through its keygen nothing to be done but does not recognize any code. I also tried to install the famous but nothing guam. I tried to install an earlier version of tomtom but unfortunately does not see the gps.
Do you have any advice please?

I found a translation error in the German .64 Standard, it might apply to all ROMs, somebody please check: in the E-Mail Setup dialog, where you have to apply how often the E-Mail should be automatically checked, go to "Alle Download-Einstellungen überprüfen > Erweiterte Einstellungen" [Check all download settings (?) > Advanced settings (?)] where "Beim Löschen von Nachrichten" reads two times "Vom Server löschen" [Delete messages reads two times "Delete from server"].
Is this only a duplicate text string or is the function stripped out?

Have you tried the ok button? when I have fring installed and running at start up sometimes the pin pad gets hidden by the other program. This happened even with my original rom, so I don't know if it's something Bepe can correct. Anyways if I press the ok button, to call the Phone functions, the pin pad appears and I can enter the pin and then make the calls.

I make with Microsoft Excel... rapidshare offers a Collector's-Zone, so i have all my files in a list. I copy the list to excel, make a screen shout, edit it in PS and thats it.

It works fine for me now... I've found the exact problem, there was a service dll from HTC inside the new CHT 1.50 rom that did not exist in the WWE roms. This dll made it impossible to sync with exchange.

Don't know what do do about your problem, because I don't have the it; could some other ppl please try if it is working or not?

its not really a problem but somehow this rom needs almost twice as much cpu-power to play mp3 withe the coreplayer via my bluetooth headset

with the original (slow^^) o2 rom it was about 15% and with bepes rom it's about 27%

does anybody has an idea why?

edit: a little bug: sometimes there is a warning that voice command has been shut down due no free ram, although there is a lot of ram free...

It works fine for me now... I've found the exact problem, there was a service dll from HTC inside the new CHT 1.50 rom that did not exist in the WWE roms. This dll made it impossible to sync with exchange.

Don't know what do do about your problem, because I don't have the it; could some other ppl please try if it is working or not?

bepe, in .64 ITA basic is impossible to send SMS. It says "syncronization error" each time i try to send one (also tried to different ppl)

And if i delete an SMS it will go into the deleted mail of "outlook mail" directory tree and not in the "sms/mms deleted mail" directory tree.
I think that something is messed up btw outlook and SMS/MMS.

Is this problem fixed in 0.65 basic?

I just install new BePe ROM 0.64 Premium. All good, but after couple time my BT handset Jabra JX10 is nor work propertly. :(
I call to somewhere and after 5-10 sec sound in handset missing.
I fix it bug by delete and reconnect my JX10, but I think this not good solution for me. :(

Hi bepe! I have a problem with the Streaming media (again) :) it work with 3g but not with Wifi, the Media start ok and the "buffering 0%" txt came up but after awhile came the txt "Failed to find network" up. The wifi work fine when im using PIE, some issue there? it should work with wifi. Here is the site again

My problem is synchronization. If you made a send / receive from pocket outlook the mails work, but if it is given the command "synchronize " by ActiveSync in the PDA, give error

Leaving things default is the way to go. if people want to change the graphics of their device they can learn how to do so. making multiple versions for graphic interface is waste of space especially if people are fine wtih default graphics.

You can install cabs to further customize your polaris. he doesnt need to spend extra time figuring out what applications he should cook into rom because people have personal preference and while you may say "I liek all these apps you included in the rom" i may like 5% of them and would rather use my own, in which case he has wasted space in his for crap that I wouldn't want.

A complete rom is a fast stable rom with tweaks and necessary application tools to help tweak app further or apps that a xda member would probabl yneed (reg edits total commander, rom settings etc). A complete rom is not a rom full of bloat-ware.

My opinion is that rom cookers shoudl spend their time doing more tweaks on battery usage, radios caching etc, things that normal xda users do not know howt o do. we can handle apps and graphics, rom cookers are the smart ones who continue to learn about how drivers and OS system work and how to make them work better. They do this for free so their time is precious to us.

I just installed .65 WWE Premium and the first thing that came up after setting the time and date was a Notification Error: Cannot execute calnot.exe.

I clicked ok and continued with entering my pin code and then downloading settings for my mobile provider, I never got the error after rebooting tho, and after 3-4 more reboots, no errors, so it was just the one time.
Other then that it seems to work great, feels faster then the .64 already! :D

graphics: i will be making my own rom on bepes 19199 build. im using his instead of my own since we part of the same team so we will help each other with bugs. my rom will be made with a new blue theme. i'll show bepe when i get a sec the stuff i made for my rom to see if he wants anything in gray/black for his... so in others words stayed tuned.

apps: my full rom will be loaded with useful apps like the athena project roms are. i believe it'll be what ur looking for.

build 19199 is the latest build available to the public. its newer than 19716. if u go through bepes previous posts he explains this in detail. there is a bit newer build but is not for public.....yet. u guys have i believe the most stable build as of right now.

When trying to take a picture in the mask mode (the one where the picture is framed in a cartoon) it fails and quits the camera application. When trying to turn the camera back on i get the message: "Unable to initialize camera. Failed to set up the camera device." All the other modes work without any problem.

Just flashed to 0.65 Basic version, but have problems using Wisbar Advance Desktop (WAD) 1.3x - Theme Manager of WAD no longer works. But on previous versions (up to 0.62), WAD is working fine. Tried to only install WAD immediately after flash, still the same. Any ideas? Thanks.

edit: Just found out it's bacause of the new version of Wisbar Advance 3.1.07 causing the error. WAD 1.3x + Wisbar Advance 3.1.06 works fine :d

A lot of people have recently reported BT problems with
the 25.14 version of Radio. Maybe U should flash your radio
back to 21.23 (or viceversa 23.21 :p ) and retry.
Btw, the 25.14 radio is AFAIK not official, but test rom.

I can confirm this issue. Seems a redirection bug.

Also I saw a minor translation issue in german Opera 0.64 GER.
The phone settings advanced tab (Erweitert) is still not translated.
Apparantly a lack of german MUI file for this option?

Go to Settings -> Tab Connections -> Item Advanced Network -> Tab SMS-Service

There is a setting like "SMS via:" This should be set to GSM.

something for everyone with sms issues. i encountered this issue and solved it by going to 3rd tab in settings, the advanced network tool i think it is, and last item is sms service or something like that. i made it i believe go over gsm and no more issues with sms.

i belive this is a problem of 6.1 completely. we are having bt connection issues in the athena also with my 4.0 rom on build 19181. we are slowly adding certain parts of 18533's bluetooth stack in hopes of solving this. if needed ill work with bepe to do same for polaris.

Already use and manipulate... ¡Great version Bepe, really! Is very fast and secure. Large capacity and reliable and effective response. I comment some bugs (small) I have seen to try to improve your work in the future:

1) Poor translation of a lot of words and names, especially in the configuration files.
2) The above concerns that the system identifies as a "storage card" (in English) instead of "Tarjeta de almacenamiento". In my case some links to software does not work for this subject.
3) Do not configured Movistar (Telefonica Spain), even MMS, or its program of the Internet: "E-Motion".
4) works very regular configuration programmes for HTC Home, Version 0.85 or 10.a) Then you have to copy the "Files" by hand.
5) No RSS program (this is not a fault I know, but I love this kind of programs.
6) Some problems with QuickGPS at the begginning, I have to patch the program (Patch is easy to obtain in the Forum).

As you can see, nothing so important.

Can I translate by myself?

making different languages is not very easy. it involves editing the muis and sometimes the exes need to be editied so isn't always possible. for the dialer my guess is it'll need editing on a dll(forgot which). for memory card it could be even the xip as if i remember correctly it had some entried in there for it. for the cube it involves editing the brn files which isnt a easy task. im sure though bepe is trying his best to get the most translated.

It was missing for me as well but I got it working by enabling and then disabling the alphabetical index in the contact options.

That would be great! The BT fix is available for download from the HTC site for the Kaiser, known as the Bluetooth Hot Fix (the TYTNII file is attached here)

Description: "Dropped calls sometimes occur when Bluetooth is on. If you encountered the same problem, please download this Bluetooth Hot Fix and install it on your device."

This fix is not yet available for the Polaris but maybe this one will work?

Are you sure you have these settings for SMS?
Go to Settings -> Tab Connections -> Item Advanced Network -> Tab SMS-Service

There is a setting like "SMS via:" This should be set to GSM.

I found that when you go in to Schap's Advanced config there is an option to turn this feature on or offf. I found it was off by default but started working when I turn it on.

I love this ROM, used to use 'bepe' ROMs on the Trinity, were always the best around for me. I have an O2 Orbit II now and for the most part everything is OK, it just seems anything to do with the "O2" (UK) network is/was incorrect.

I chose O2 (UK) in the connection wizard after the ROM was flashed and HARD-RESET e.t.c. but it appears not to be correct, I had to change the send SMS via option to GSM because it was on GPRS, I also have the issue with no "message sent" notification, also, I had to manually add the O2 "voicemail" centre number in to be able to listen to voicemail.

Is this a ROM issue or more of a 'connection wizard' fault?

I just installed .65 WWE Premium and the first thing that came up after setting the time and date was a Notification Error: Cannot execute calnot.exe.

I clicked ok and continued with entering my pin code and then downloading settings for my mobile provider, I never got the error after rebooting tho, and after 3-4 more reboots, no errors, so it was just the one time.
Other then that it seems to work great, feels faster then the .64 already! :D
same by me.. I was playing with user customization (10-15 hardresets for 3-4 hours) and found that bug once.

In the settings-->buttons, if we change the application can we change the corresponding icon? I'm using bepe's 0.65 basic rom and button 1 is assigned to messaging. I'm using it to gps (garmin, which by the way I recommend to all portuguese out there because the maps are more recent than those of tom tom) and so I would like to have the garmin logo there. Can I do it?

Yes, there's a cab around here in several threads, which does the trick.
I think it was in e.g. in the Polaris Tips and Tricks Thread... :rolleyes:
search for arab4ce or something and you will most likely find it.

this is a feature, no bug :p

Since most people dislike the Message sent feature, it seems,
bepe has switched the function off by default.

You can turn it on again by using Schaps Advanced Confing or
Kaiser Tweak or SKTools or similar.

Definitely no real ROM issues, but some mismatched settings.

Connection wizard is based on database files. If this file is not
the most recent, it sets wrong provider defaults of course.
SMS via option is also a mismatched default setting, could be
corrected by bepe in the next version (registry tweak).
Message sent confirmation -> see my post above.
Voicemail centre should be depending on the database also.

With Advanced Config tools I set bitpool for audio 128 (min and max). BT stay more stability.
But hot fix from Kaiser and this solution not resolv problem to end. :(

The hotfix is for the Kaiser and cannot be installed on the Polaris - I posted in here so that Bepe and Pawel can have a look to see what it contains and maybe extract the proper files for cooking into their builds.

because its a setting which you can adjust with wm itself. go to your SMS Inbox > Menu > Extras > Options > choose tab account > klick on SMS/MMS > Activate/Deactivate Message sent option as you like

Nah, this is something different. This option triggers a notification, once the message reached the recipients phone. What he means: the message has been sent to the network and thus is moved from "Outbox" to "Sent items". A sent msg does not equal a delivered msg.

I'd just... you know :p): is it possible to define hardware button actions using the registry only, given that the desired action is a standard action respectively the desired program is installed?

My receiving SMS have a time stamp about 5 hours off...do note, my time zone is GMT-5, well.. -4 now b/c of daylight savings. I have NEVER had this problem on Windows Mobile until 0.65 though so it's likely something that may have been changed!

Another glitch,

When I use one of the 3 default TOUCH keyboards and I open up an email or SMS to reply to it, I have to first hide the keyboard then reopen it in order to see the message screen properly. If I don't do this, the keyboard hides the bottom half of the text!

Yes it is - at least in the WWE Opera version Worked perfectly for me last night. UC is a great timesaver!

I was watching some mobile battlstar galatica videos on their website yesterday and when I went to watch one it kept opening windows media streaming, I wanted to use the HTC streaming instead.

SO i used schapps advacned config to change the file association of .wmvs to use the streaming media app from htc instead of microsoft but it kept using the fraking windows media one.

I don't know if it's a bug, or if it's because this video starts with "mms" and i noticed that htc streaming is "rtsm" or something (real time streaming media), so perhaps htc streaming media does not work with this mms:// addressed videos??

As I understood, it fix replace .bts file in /Windows
At directory /Windows of Bepe ROM is two file:
TIInit_5_2_34.bts
TIInit_5_3_53.bts

In fix file name TIInit_4_2_38.bts.
I think, in ROM od Bepe more newest file then in fix.... :(

I have the following findings:

1. Can't set ringtone to the default settings installed (Ring-Standard, Ring-Vision, Ring-WindowsMobile) - "The ring tone file is corrupted or unavailable..."

2. Searching contact - typing the name and try selecting it will go to the first list on the contact list

3. Opera browser - typing on any sites field using Touch Keyboard won't show any character (workaround use Touch Qwerty instead)

4. Using Touch Keyboard shift to Caps Lock you have to press 3 times to return it to lower case.

Bepe's cooked ROM is really good better than what HTC's original ROM.

Problem with BlueTooth handset (Jabra JX10 and Jabra BT10) is stay on. :mad:

1. Incoming call
2. Answer by press key on handset
3. 3-5 sec sound good, after just noise. :(
4. Mic and speaker on handset is not work until hang up

It behavior repeated after sometimes of sleeping of device.

1. First, you must remove SD card. It important.

2. Then, you need flashed HardSPL_v2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=351964
Very carreful read all screen message. You must replug USB cable for 1-2 min.

3. If previos step is good, you can flash any ROMs.

4. Invite O2 at bootloader mode by pressing camera button, shot tap to reset and only then release camera button. Must be tricolor screen.

5. Run rom.exe and waiting for good ending of reflashing.

6. Enjoy. :D

.66 WWE Standard poses no problems on that. I suggest you try a hardreset and if that doesnt work a reflash.

Happens to me too when I have xT9 enabled. In the process of trying I came across something interesting: you don't have to exactly type the names. Contacts features prediction now:

enter contacts
don't do anything else yet, especially don't click the searchbar
Bring up the keyboard
for example, for a search for "Peter" just press the following sequence: [op] [er] [tz] [er] [er]
The searchbar will show ".1211" but contacts containing "Peter" are shown!3. Opera browser - typing on any sites field using Touch Keyboard won't show any character (workaround use Touch Qwerty instead)

Seems to me Opera is to blame. The keyboards work fine otherwise.

I use the premium 0.66 and only thing which isnt working are steaming media with wifi (same as .0.65 rom), the rom is very stable and fast.. at last find the registry key where i can disable the active sync from popping up every 10min;)

I use the 1.64.08.21 radio and it works very well with the rom
very fast gps fix(dont now if it the rom it self or the radio) and no battery drain
Im very pleased with this rom!

I use Spb 1.6.0 build 2753 version and it work ok havent had any bigger issues with this versio, some time it freeze but when u go to advanced optios and disable the "stop processes before backup"
it works

The spb seems to work much better when you after a rom flash make 1-2 hard resets ( I do that after all rom flash)
