y does my phone say my mini sd is not installed when it really is. how do I install it

you might have to reformat it on your computer. (backup files first)

tell me if that works, if not i will look for a solution.

that didn't work when I go to memory and then storage card it still says not installed

You must format your card with file system "FAT" (not FAT32). Try it!:)

Also: what is the size of your SD? Wizard can only handle single layer SD, which generally means anything over 2GB is a no-go, as most are multi-layer.
