Hello everyone,

if internet explorer is started and a website is required, the connection manager dials my isp by phone. thatīs ok.

but what I would like to know is when does the connection manager close the connection? Or does it stay online until ISP closes connection?

the connection is more then 1 thing
there is the genral connection
and a socket connection the socket connection will live as long as ie
the general connection will live as long as the phone have network connection to the isp
and the user dont disable gprs/edge/3g themselfs

which is why the charge pr MB rather then by minuts

so if the user doesnīt close the connection, the connection will live as maximal possible ... uuuuuhhh

is there a way to close the connection by a program without user pushing a button?

Press the "Call End" button and you should hear a beep, that closes the GPRS connection. You may have to press and hold the button.

Unless you set the registry key for continuous connection to GPRS.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\{7C4B7A3 8-5FF7-4bc1-80F6-5DA7870BB1AA}\Connections\(GPRS connection name)\AlwaysOn

change the "0" to "1" and reset.
