I have created a number of skins to compliment the HTC retouched Dialer
and the Action Screen / Comm Manager Colours. This is the first version of my SPB Shell 2.0 skin.

Whats Included:

- New Layout.
- New Icons.
- New Wallpapers
- Wallpaper Choices (Blocks / Space / Carbon).


Whats Needed:

- SPB Shell 2.0


INSTALLATION:

- Install SPB Mobile Pocket Shell 2.0
- Chose which theme you want & Download.
- Unzip the MM-Shell Skin files.
- Copy & Paste the 8 files into the SPB Shell
directory on your Mobile.

ie: \Program Files\SPB Mobile Shell\"Here"

- & Soft Reset.. ta da!

Known Issues:

- Minor Graphic updates to come.
- More to be discovered.

Just some files you drop into your SPB Directory with File Explorer. Simple as that really, oh and a soft reset :D

How did you get the backgrounds to work? That's the one thing I'm still struggling with. In particular, how did you create the background.bmp and background_m.bmp?

Now its getting even more exciting seeing threads like this. Hoping more people start making some insanely sexy skins making it easy for "not so mobile savvy" people like me to easily customize stuff. Though this one isnt that attractive to me, but good work. The only thing Id love changed to make this super sexified, would be a way to customize the icons for that 4th slide.

I have a little comment that do we really need the close button now? I think we can leave it out cause anytime, we can slide the screen down to close the Shell screen and get to the HTC Home screen.

I have been checking this and the SPB Shell/SPB Shell Guide discussion and neither offers a cab install. All the copying and replacing files and renaming etc., is a hassle. I really hope this one comes in a cab cause it looks awesome.

Installation will be simple. You just drop the dat files into your SPB Shell folder. I recommend backing up your SPB shell directory first. It really is that simple.

Just make sure you soft reset after you install them :)

Also this should not be uninstalled. Just install another skin if you want to change.

1) Nope sorry no support for 240x240.

2) 2 Contact pages, I've not looked into that and currently have no plans too.

Add = 0
Image = 8
Index = 9
Text = Active Tasks
Type = TaskManager

Please make the contact tab as #3 rather than tab 4, so that when you swipe down from the today screen, you can choose the contact tab (instead of 'recently used programs' as it is now).

I had the same problem with the given reg file. So I did it manually and i've enclosed the exported reg file which worked for me, maybe it will work for you as well.

Renamed it to whatever.jpg put it on my mogul . Open it up in picture viewer set as background and put it at 20% transparency or whatever and it matches good enough .

The only thing i havent figured out is how to make it right in landscape :/

But the point is to get the SPB shell darker, not clearing all of the rest. It looks much better to me. Just an opinion, of course.

Simple to solve, no registry tweaking. Go to settings, Spb Mobile Shell, today and select Spb contacts from "left Soft key". No reset needed.

I'm sorry. you wanted Dial tabs and not contacts. You're right, the problem exist exactly as you describe it.

You have active tasks as 8th icon? You need to go to Settings - Spb Mobile Shell - Tab say Advanced> Menu... Make a check mark by: "My Menu" (it's not checked), then OK and make a soft reset.

I am looking at an update and jotting some ideas down but I'm currently working on a setup for Ultimate Launch & an update for MM-Cube. The later will be ready first i would say. Cube update is simple to install but with Ultimate launch i'm trying to understand if there is a simple way for peeps to copy my layout with out having all the setup to adjust.

With shell I have a few ideas but not looked into the implementation side yet, but ideas are very welcome. With that in mind i have some new icon ideas for buttons at the bottom, and also thought about dropping the " x " button too. I have another idea but not sure if thats possible so watch this space ;)

I liked the Cubed Skin so much, I made a dialer skin to match it, now the whole phone theme matches.

For use with the "wizard_reTouched_dialer", included in the zip if you need it.

Copy the images from the incuded directory into your windows directory.

Added a Today TSK also.

Well with the 2.1 your themes still work really good, the only part I didn't see it actually support is the "Data connection indicator".

I tried copying the dat file individual files over, but unfortunately the backgrounds won't display unless you copy the layout dat file. Looking forward to an update but I'm impressed how well your themes are holdig up while most of the other need major overhaul with this update.

I really like this skin on top of SPB Shell, however the third page of recently used apps feels a bit pointless. Especially since the menu page now has a large blank area by default.
Any chance for a version that has the same setup as the standard SPB shell, with the recently used and pinned apps on top or below the menu boxes?
This skin is really great, but I just feel that third page isnt needed.
