Upgrade ROM by MiniSD Card Method
1. Download ROM file (PDAMobiz_WM6.1_P535_Build19716.rar)
2. Copy file ASUS.UnlockLangID.exe into miniSD Card then run this file one time (Cross language platform for ROM Upgrade)
3. Extract from 1. You have got GalaxyII.nb0 and copy to miniSD Card.
4. Put usb for change battery. Press button Rec + Camera + Power and Reset (Must be reset to BootLoader white screen)
5. Please wait util red message display on P535 screen then Soft Reset one time.
6. After finish Upgrade ROM process please Hard Reset again (Press Navigate button + Reset) for make sure all process was completed.

Upgrade ROM by USBLoader Method
1. Make sure that your PC have install Microsoft Active Sync already.
2. Download ROM file (PDAMobiz_WM6.1_P535_Build19716.rar)
3. Extract from 1. You have got GalaxyII.NB0, AsusUpdateROM.cmd and USBLoader
4. Copy file ASUS.UnlockLangID.exe into miniSD Card then run this file one time (Cross language platform for ROM Upgrade)
5. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del (On PC) to start Task Manager, Then delete MS Sync Process (Wcescomm.exe) or double click on file Kill Active Sync.cmd to kill MS Sync Process.
6. Connect your P535 to PC via USB port. Press Rec+Power button (at the same time) and then Soft Reset (Press Rec+Power button util Boot Loader program startup you will see message Waiting).
7. Double Click on file AsusUpdateROM.cmd to start Upgrade ROM. Then follow up step in DOS Command Windows (press Enter 3-4 times).
8. Please wait util red message display on P535 screen then Soft Reset one time.
9. After finish Upgrade ROM process please Hard Reset again (Press Navigate button + Reset) for make sure all process was completed.

"Turn on" will be grayed out.

Unfortunately I had to downgrade to Wm6.
And what a difference... This 6.1 Rom feels like it's two times faster than stock WM6.
Let's hope this can be fixed. I guess Vivi already fixed this for P525 so it should be easy to fix on P535 as well.

the pocket plus would help to delay loading process. so the wi-fi driver should be ok

Sorry, I don't know more about build version but before release this ROM [build 19716], Vivi, Undetect and our club members at PDAMobiz.com have tested with Build 19199 and found it not stable then Vivi and Undetect decided to tried again with build 19716 and found this version [19716] more stable and faster than build 19199

This is the truth.
I have no P535 device.Only have P525.
I ported 5.2.19199 to ASUS P525 and P535 and gave P535 version to P535 club of PDAMobiz.com to test a month ago.
That time I used 5.2.19199 from bepe RK as base ROM and it has some problems about phone modules.
Sometime it hangs. So I have to use phone modules from WM6.0 ROM.

After that I ported 5.2.19716 to P525 and P535 to test and it 's OK.

I know bepe told us that 5.2.19199 is final before but it's worth to try 5.2.19716.

For Kaiser 's Official 5.2.19199 ROM from pairojn thread. I ported it to ASUS P525 again.
Same OS version and same build from bepe Artemis RK .But they are really differences.
It's more fast and stable.No need to mix modules.
No hang with phone modules any more.

I haven't ported new Kaiser 5.2.19199 to P535 till now.
The difficult is I have no P535 device and ASUS Thailand never support any device to me.
So the real is , I will port any ROM to P525 only 1-2 hours with ease..
But for other ASUS model , I can but I have no device to test. Just Tired and bored.
I will port 5.2.19199 to P535 again if I have time.But no promise.

Hi, I just tried this rom (the one with software from pdaviet), and it's not as good as vivi's 19716. The response time is longer and it also lags very obviously. The worst problem is the camara where if you shoot in a dimmer area, there will be grey strips on the screen. I'm testing this on my p535 and this is what I found.

PS. I checked with my mp version, it's still 164 not 169. I'm not sure if this is why the problem occurs. I followed the exact steps as I use vivi's rom

There is no problem now. The reason was the filesystem on SDmini. FAT 16 formating fix the problem.

And as i expected, the camera issue remains. when you take pictures in the darker area, there will be grey strips on the screen. I'll definitely switch back to vivi's 19716

Hi, that's the one I tried(the clean rom), I got a black line on top of start button. and when I use the camera to shoot something in the dimmer environment, I got grey strips on the screen(picture).

by the way, how do you upgrade your MP version: mine is still showing V0.164
and the sample pics for those 19202 roms are V0.169. Did I forget to flash something other than the rom it self?

Running 19716 v1.1 rom for about a day. It's amazingly fast - my p535 had turned from a brick to a speed devil (even under CPU saving mode). Wifi wise is still ok so far and there isn't any malfunction issue just yet. Doesn't see any grey strips also.

I have been using this rom for two days and I have noticed that too frequently WIFI is not available after soft-reset.

I have not been able to identify the reason of this behavior, since it seems to be quite spurious.

Someone mentioned pocket plus as a possible way to delay startup, but I cannot figure out how to do that.

Any hints?

BTW, I am running Build 19716.1.0.0.

Installed it + tested over the (rainy) weekend... works very fine - much better than the ASUS 6.0 which was instable (every few days freezing ).
Phone, Wifi (WPA2), GPSn working good.

the PIE seems to be slowing down while scrolling the web page after it had loaded for a while.

can someone please advise me? I've been trying to upgrade my WM to the version 6.1 according to this thread and it won't work. I follow the steps and when do restart to BootLoader white screen it just gets stuck on the white screen and says "USB Connected" and under it "Waiting" - the progress bar doesn't move at all. I've also formated my memory card to FAT16.

any suggestion will be appreciated.

Make sure you wait about 5 to 10 minutes for the GPS signal to set in on Tomtom, and set it to Other NMEA GPS receiver 4800 bps, then select GPS device from the list, that fixed it for me .

I want to upgrade my Asus P535 with this new rom but I have a problem with the REC button ...! so please advice me if there is any other way to go to bootloader without pressing rec + camera + power + soft reset?
I know the way to boot from the SD card but all roms only have the *.nb0 file but I need asusp535.cap to can upgrade from the SD card... so can any one help me how to convert *.nb0 file to *.cap file????

What I did was hold all the buttons plus reset when the phone was out, then press power, didnt that work too? It's a crazy grip I'll admit ;)

Copia en la sd el archivo unlocklangid

ejecutalo

Aprieta el boton de grabar + el de camara + reset.

Te entrara en el bootloader usb y te pedira que la enchufes al puerto usb.

Con control+alt+suprimir mata el servicio wcescomm (activesync) y despues enchufala al pc.

ejecuta el archivo P535_romupgrade.cmd (creo que se llamaba asi)

te ira diciendo la mitad de las cosas que ya has echo . vas dando a enter hasta que veas que empieza a enviar y en la pda avanza la barra de progreso.

Cuando termine ya tienes wm6.1

This rom works great! I've tried 19199 for a day and soon flashed over to 19400 and sticked to it till now. 19716's good too, I still prefer this.

Review:
19716 - PIE is very jittery and slow; Not supporting certain ring tones
19199 - Not able to support certain font patch; SD card directory issue; Very few themes

launch this Apps with your folder explorer

- Copy GalaxyII.nb0 => Sd card formated

- You need Connect USb for battery
Press button Rec (right side) + Camera (left side) + Power (up) and Reset (Small deep in right side)

At this time... ASUS upgrade launching the Upgrade to rom...

After finish Upgrade ROM process please Hard Reset again

Have you Hard reset after Upgrade !! Other you can use cool camera ...

PS. A BIG problem: Before flash my rom, i had install Outlook trial and active synch for backup my contacts.... but then, later change my rom, i've try to restore my backups but don't work!!!!!

So i've lost all my contacts!!!!!!

filewelcomehead.96 is installing the program Rescoexplorer, then select: Show all hidden files you make a copy and paste from any folder you have your new entry to the directory filewelcomehead.96 Windos.

A Rom can not be modified by a CAB!

On a remote, it happens that this bug if it uses a different wireless manager or a certain time spots unsecured ...

It is necessary to restore point in time or wifi works!

ROm core is different... You can't restore sytem...
only PIM, documents... BUT NOT SYSTEM... otherwise WM6.1 should have some error...

I have installed this release - very stable and fast so far. But I do have one problem. I tried to run Subsembly Wallet which worked fine under the Asus 6.0 release, but when I run it under this 6.1, it complains that it needs .net compact V2 - is this not included in the release?

Abro este Tema para comunicaros que según los rumores se ha confirmado que la versión de WM6,1 que ya corre en algunos dispositivos nuevos, no sera subida para su descarga en el sitio oficial de ASUS y no podemos disfrutar de estas mejoras que incorpora en nuestra PPc ASUS P535.

Por este motivo me puse ha buscar y he podido conseguir una actualización a WM6,1 para nuestra maquina.
No solo una sino varía, comentare la que actualmente utilizo ya que he podido comprobar su buen funcionamiento y la estabilidad, pero también se comentaran todas las demás.

Quedáis invitados a comentar todo lo que podáis saber o recopilar sobre este tema y haremos de este tema un buen centro de información para mucha gente que esta interesada en el tema.

Si una vez que la probéis no os gusta o tenéis algún problema cuando estéis en mitad de una actualizacion, no os preocupeis, podéis volver a la ROM oficial en vuestro idioma sin problemas.

He confeccionado unos archivos de recuperación en varios idiomas para que puedan utilizarlos todos los que lo necesiten.
Si alguien necesita algún idioma distinto se lo puedo prepara y lo subiré al foro.
Una aclaración, estos ficheros son para bajar de la versión WM6.1 a la versión WM6 si alguien lo necesita para bajar a la versión WM5 puedo intentar prepararlo.

hi, i have installed the updated rom. Love it, very fast compared to other roms. One major problem though, still a problem with WIFI, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

I noticed that when i put SPB pocket plus 4 on the today screen and soft reset, wifi doesnt work, but when i take it off the today screen and soft rest wifi works. And randomly when i soft reset it wont work.

Is there a proper fix to this. other than this problem this rom is great

Question.... I have your latest P535 RK.. with an WWE_AU00 original P535 Rom inside.

Can you modiffy the content with another one? That one in my P535 after restoring contacts... fail to connect to network. Initial, after flashing, I notice that it's connected. but After an soft reset will fail to connect.

I wanted to put in SYS other rutine for phone. BUT I don;t exactly know what did I miss.. because with the new rom it said that is a error in cprog.exe and have to be closed.
Can you port another FW for P535 in your tool? I don;t mind if it;s an original 6.0 or an ported 6.1.

This is the only drawback in the SW that you released recently.

My screen went crazy on my P535,
have to pot a lot of pressure on screen to work as it should.
If I try to drow/use screen with a little pressure it drows on all sides of screen.
With hard pressure it works just fine, but it's not pleasant.
I'm using 5.2.19716 Version 1.1 , and cant find where in registry to change the sensitivity and response time .

8. Please wait util red message display on P535 screen then Soft Reset one time.
9. After finish Upgrade ROM process please Hard Reset again (Press Navigate button + Reset) for make sure all process was completed.

If your ASUS P535 WiFi does not work under WM6 (even with ROMs that has WiFi fix):

- The turn on WiFi option is grayed out (not available)
- The WiFi is on, but you cannot connect, jumps back to available status, after connecting to network..

Download the 4.70 radio firmware, copy to MiniSD card, connect USB or AC power, start FW setup on PDA simply by clicking on it to upgrade, soft-reset after completed.

Test WiFi connection, and if it still does not work, use those reg files attached in wifi_regsetup.zip on PDA, and press yes when it asks for confirmation.
Soft reset when complete.
With this fix I was able to connect anything but WPA2-AES network, it was a long connection attempt, over 4 min.

Successfully flash my P535 (WM6.0 original) rom to PDAMobiz WM6.1 19716 v1.1.

Tested the following:
1. Wifi - worked even after numerous resets
2. Camera - work, no grey lines
3. BT - work
4. Battery drain - no issues, same before flashing.
5. Performance - I think it is more responsive
6. Free RAM at boot up - about 27MB
7. Phone - no issues in voice quality or reception
8. GPS - no issues. Worked on Garmin MXT 5.00.20w

Overall, this is a great ROM. Thanks.

i installed this rom a few days ago and now when i try to open an audio file it gives an error(The file ......... cannot be opened.Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate,or one of its components cannot be found.if the problem persists try reinstalling or restoring this file.)can sommebody tell me what to do.
