PB voice command with Polaris_FRA_0.64_Premium_bepe !

Hi,

I am a new on this forum,

First, Thank to Bepe for his work ... but there is still a problem with voice command !
I can't ad a voice command to my contact or any other applications ?
When I click on a contact, I didn't have the chose to ad a voice command ?

Voice command is activated, my contacts too (the option button for conatacts is not working, why)

Do someone know this problem ? If yes, how do you fixed it !
Voice command is so helpful when a drive !

I have the same problem... I'm not english native speaker and it's really hard to get this software to recognize my voice.... :(

My pb with voice command it's simply that I CAN'T record my voice for a contact ! I haven't the chose in the menu to ad a record voice command !!!


By exemple,

Usually when you stay clic on a phone contact (or click on menu button in your repertory), you've got a lot of chose to do like:
- phone, send email, send sms, send contact, copy contact, send mms, send vcard....
and usually you have the chose to ad a voice command to this contact (I see it on the HTC manual)

But I DON'T HAVE THIS CHOSE in the list : "Ad Vocal recognition to this n°"
And it's the same for all applications, I CAN'T RECORD MY VOICE for any applications, or order I would like to record !!!

WHY ?

Has someone the same pb ?
Someone has a solution for my pb ?

you should say "call" + [contact name], the problem is that this software is expecting me to pronounce names in it's own fashion...

try saying "help" and you'll find instructions...

hi, i have the same problem, now i use microsoft voice command fr i can make my command in french like "appelez marc or ecouter musique"

Thank for your answer but it doesn't help me because my voice command is in a french version. It recognize order like:

Quelle heure est-il ? (what time is it)
Démarrer solitaire ? (start solitaire)

But it doesn't recognize "aide" (help) I try 100 time "aide" like a fool in front of his mobile :) My girl friend find this scene very funny, but not me :(

And I have even the same pb... I CAN'T RECORD A NAME like Mark, Stéphanie, Sebastien.

You have to assign your own "voice signature" fdor any contacts you want to call... but I can't !
When you say "call Mark", you have to record your own voice for the voice signature "Mark", without this, the programme can't know who is Mark which contact it is... And I don't have the chose, like I said befor.

I download and install another version of voice command.
the version v1.60.4622.0 but it is still the same pb ???

you are supposed to tell the program full name of "marc" ;)

and as far as I know there is no functionality to record your own voice commands... I find it stupid.. :(

in the original orbit 2 rom (german) there was this possibilty, and its the only thing i miss in bepe's rom..

is there a possibilioty to extract this porgram from this rom?

With the "headphone" the recognition is better (the order "help" was recognize)

On the HTC manual (p238 French version, chapter 14.1)

You can see screen shoot from the record voice function !

You chose the contact repertery,
- click on menu button,
- chose "ad vocal shortcut" on the list
- chose the tel number you want to link with you voice command (cell phone, home, office...)
- and then click on record button (the red circle under)
- Record "Mark"
- and then this contact with be attributes a "vocal command"

That what is writing on the HTC touch Cruise manual !
But I haven't the "Ad shortcut vocal" chose for my contact !

All the 14.1 chapter doesn't work with my rom version

BEPE have you an idea where come this bug !

yes but I think default ROM doesn't use the same voice recognition program...

It's Microsoft Voice Command 1.6 and its a software you'd have to pay for. It's a fucking intelligent piece of software because it recognizes, how your contacts are pronounced! You DONT HAVE TO TRAIN IT or ADD ANY VOICE TAGS. Just tell 'em what it has to do: "Call Will Smith" - "What do you want to call? Will Smith mobile, home or work?" - "Work!" and it dials... Thats fucking genius!
"Call Will Smith mobile" - "Calling Will Smith mobile, correct?" - "Yes!" and it's dialing.

The software included in the original HTC ROM or o2 ROM is a piece of shit. Try to voice dial a not so often used contact out of your addressbook which contains 4500 contacts. Good luck... Voice Command: name the guy and it dials.

Edit: And I'm sorry, but do you really think HTC's manual fits bepes ROMs? Your manual is for Windows Mobile 6, bepe features 6.1. It's like reading the Windows 2000 Manual which originally came with your laptop for the Windows Vista installation you installed... Geez...

still for non english speakers it's really hard... yes with names like John, Mike, etc works... but try some russian names...

I agree, my friend with the EN-US "speaking" Voice Command successfully (and even at first try!) got some Indian guy working, after going crazy because it didnt recognize "Silvie Schneider". Something along the lines of Katachapouliamin, no idea, but hopelessly complicated and it worked.

I really don t understand your problem, ms voice command work great on polaris.
I use the french version too and once you rode the help file you understand you can do anything without training your voice first, all the weird name I have on my contact list are recognize almost directly.
once you lauch msvc you just have to say "call that name" then validate with "yes" and let s roll!!

une fois que tu as activé msvc tu n'as plus qu a dire "apppelé telle personne" puis tu valides avec "oui" et c 'est parti.
tu peux même preciser dans le cas d'un contact a plusieurs numero si tu veux plutot son "domicile" ou son "travail".
tu peux lancer ta musique, tes videos, n importe lequel de tes programmes et tout cela sans apprentissage prealable!!
enfin bref c est un must et ça marche!!

this is not a bug if bepe version doesn t include the original voicedialer but ms voice command this is an improvement.

if you really want that kind of soft you just have to install CyberonVoiceSpeedDialer

Sorry for my insistence, but I drive a lot and I REALLY NEED this voice recognition... Without this, I can't Work and drive at the same time !

This Voice command function could be a "vital" point to buy or not a mobile phone ! That's why I was so disappointed to see this function disappear on Polaris FRA 0.64 !

I have similar problem on ROM 0.64 from Bepe. :(
I think this problem BT stack and not voice dialer only..... :cool:

Not really a problem and nothing to do with bt stack, Cyberon Speed Dial is just not included in bepe's rom.

I REALLY NEED this voice recognition... Without this, I can't Work and drive at the same time !

This Voice command function could be a "vital" point to buy or not a mobile phone !

If you absolutely need a stable phone to work with, you shouldn't use a beta rom which may be bugged and/or miss features...

I have installed Voice Command (French Version too). It works perfectly as expected but I cannot activate it from my headphone.

This was working fine with the original Voice dialer but since I have install Voice Comand, I cannot activate it anymore.

The only thing I have changed is in the "Button" settings to assign "Voice Command" instead of the original program. It affects the button but apparently not the headset...

On the other hand, I am sure that the headset works as when I hold it down, I have the recorder that starts as originally.

I have searched in the registry, settings etc...but found nothing :confused:

Any idea ?
