Wow I thought this would be easy.. I have a VX6800 Verizon that I enjoy listening to indie 103.1 indie stream through TCPMP except the speaker blows. I thought I would get a usb to mini headset adaptor so I could plug into my mps player speakers, but the adaptor I got from Radio Shack dosen't seem to work? Do I have to change some setting or something to get the audio to go out through the USB jack?

TIA,

Chris

You have a better chance using the Bluetooth speaker set. You get better quality "stereo" and you can increase the volume way louder.

Also try searching for the SRSWOWHD CAB. This enhances the volume in your phone with some modifications in the program.

The adaptor you got from radio shack probably is not wired correctly for the type of connection on the phone, even though it physically fits there it is kind of a propietary connection and has extra pins that are not standard. Many of the phone accesory websites have the correct one. Here is a link to one that works in our phone http://www.elitextreme.com/3stauadforht3.html

jjlwork is right, our phone has 11 pins where typical miniusbs have 10. You wont get it to work right, or you will mess up your phone.

Try this too, I have an extra in case my other breaks cause I use it in my car. I will have a writeup in accessories later today.

Should check... there is some change in 3.35 that causes some of the
audio connetors to not work. Happened on mine. The oem headset does
continue to work.
