Looks like no one ever noticed it was broke to start with.

It will have a new top Menubar with transparancy and it will have all the portrait graphics fixed.

I really have to stop working on it now. Because i'm fixing the portrait graphics and it's taking more time then i thought it would.

It has a new Folder picker .dll file and i even allready got the german version for it to from Resco.

Let me make a cab fix for the SMS providers to try out.

In the mean time.. I just finished Album SP1.

I changed the portait Lay out so the selected image finally has Gamma shade and the Pictures are larger and no longer aligned to the left side.

Fixed Slideshow buttons.

Ataached the SMS Alph Fix.

If this work check the registry settings in 0407_redist folder and SMS providers folder

I'm online and i'll flash the rom.

But i need the download link ;)

I am testing my favorite software
1. BB Connect 4.0.0.07 works like a charm with the registriy hack
2. Sprite Backup does not create any icon to the program folder

Sprite Backup prolly makes English Shortcut Start Menu so you have to browse to Windows\Start Menu and copy the shortcut to German Start Menu.folder maybe.

They say you do lose it.

That's why you always need a backup original rom so they don't notice it.

And it really dependsm on provider.

I heard a lot of people getting their devices fixed because of bad flashing.

I gave the file the .nbh ending, to find out, that is still an archive. So renaming to .rar and unpacking after that gets me not to the point, where i'm currently flasching my touch.

Hi. Rom seems to work fine. However the program memory is too low for me:

Datenspeicher:
Gesamt: 59,88
Belegt: 3,84
Frei: 56,04

Also i have Navigon Mobile Navigator 6 installed on my Memory Card. On other roms this is auto installed during the setup of the rom. On this version, i'd to remove the memory card and insert it again to get it installed.

Could we map for example the left button to that function only ? or standard to the function read? (after read the message is automaticly marked as read)

Changed now to the 1.01 - still a beautiful rom.

A) First issue i recognized is, that i am not able to use mp3 as ringtones (copied to MyDocuments\Meine Klingeltöne AND \Windows. Just tested mp3 ...

EDIT: It seems to me, that no kind of "extra" ringtone is recognized by the rom. The only ringtones are the standard ones (Ring-Standard, Ring-Vision and Ring-Windowsmobile)
Would be great to have the opportunity to choose different ones ... Any hints?

B) This "short contact list" within the cube had the possibility to choose ONE contact several times, e.g. one entry of Andreas (Mobilenumber) and a second entry Andreas "Home". This does not work any more, it is just possible to choose a contact once ... (oh my good, this is a very complicated explanation:-))

Shove it into the oven and bake your own rom :P

They seem to solve the pagepool problem with 6.1 ROMs.

With some configuration I got 29.2 MB program memory free.

Yes... I noticed that IE slows down and i get an error message that a script is slowing down something.

I would really like to Flash my Rom, but my xda nova won't let me.
Every time that I try, the process stops at 3% and my PC gives me
the following error message.

ERROR [270] : UPDATE ERROR

The image file is corrupted. Please check your Update Utility

Since I'm using the latest original O2-rom, I already tried the cid-unlock,
but I still get the same error.

My actual Rom-version is 2.21.207.1 GER. I#m running the Update on a Vista PC.

P.S.: I also have another problem, but it's not that important. I sometimes have to plug in the USB three or four times,
before the ActiveSync is activated. The PC always recognizes the USB connection (sound) but sometimes I even have to reboot
both device and PC to establish an ActiveSync connection.

thanx a lot for your wonderful rom. I tested all of your versions on my elf. There is a problem with the so called 'Autovervollständigung' (auto-suggestion?) in SMS. I've enabled it, but it does not work. The spell checking works fine.

Any hints?

Hey,

I would really like to Flash my Rom, but my xda nova won't let me.
Every time that I try, the process stops at 3% and my PC gives me
the following error message.

ERROR [270] : UPDATE ERROR

The image file is corrupted. Please check your Update Utility

Since I'm using the latest original O2-rom, I already tried the cid-unlock,
but I still get the same error.

My actual Rom-version is 2.21.207.1 GER. I#m running the Update on a Vista PC.

P.S.: I also have another problem, but it's not that important. I sometimes have to plug in the USB three or four times,
before the ActiveSync is activated. The PC always recognizes the USB connection (sound) but sometimes I even have to reboot
both device and PC to establish an ActiveSync connection.

1. You have to cid-unlock you elf/elfin - look for "uspl" or "unlock" (there is a sticky thread here) ... afterwards it will work - i had this prob too.

2. Go to Start - Settings and look for the "USB to PC" Icon. Disable the "erweitere Netzwerkfunktionen aktivieren" (dont know the exact translation for a wwe rom, but there is just one item to disable :-))

Something tells me this is your first time flashing ;)

What you have tot do is find a rom with the rest of the files in the installing pack (take the surface one from my sig).

Replace the .nbh file from the surface one and replace it with the merlot one. and run the flash application.

The beta was just to test if things work the way they should. A release version is being tested at the moment.

Its also good to know which device you have (ie. ELF or ELFIN) if reporting any observations as I only have an ELF to test on.

I see know that when I open Internet Explorer that the pictures are huge. Not like normal.

thanx a lot for your wonderful rom. I tested all of your versions on my elf. There is a problem with the so called 'Autovervollständigung' (auto-suggestion?) in SMS. I've enabled it, but it does not work. The spell checking works fine.

I was now able to flash the rom (uspl wasn't installed properly).Thanks to abyss02. But I already encountered quite a big problem with the rom.

I had a long call, and my screen switched off automatically (I think that's normal). The problem was, that I was not able to switch it on again. The Power Button had lost its function completely, I wasn't even able to shut down the phone. In the end, I had to press the reset button.

Did anyone have the same problem?

I'm using a xda nova (elf) from o2 Germany.

Some little bugs:

1. My Documents\Meine Klingeltöne still does not work, have to rename it to My Documents\My Ringtones.

2. When you want to configure an application to the launcher (htc home), the mask is still wwe (Select and Cancel instead of Auswählen and Abbrechen, also the title here is Select Program)

3. Perhaps you can change the Aku in the Registry (HKLM\System\Versions) to default ".0.4.2", so that everyone can install BB Connect without customizing.

4. I am missing PHM RegEdit and WinRar

These are really peanuts, but perhaps you would like to fix these ... and dont forget: I am your biggest FAN :-)

The developer is encounting some problems with the UC compliants for this rom. When this is solved i think he will release a NLD version. But i used the same rom and i think that's the threated sms function (if it has to be different i would like to know ;))

Noonski had a look over the dutch version and I will fix stuff there tonight.

The german version has some issues with the registry, some changes in rgu's just don't want to stick.

And UC is giving me some headaches, file copying and provxml works fine... just does not want to install any cabs.

the cube is very slow the first time i load it after reboot... needs some seconds on each side of the cube to load the text...

1. Klingeltöne is not fixed here
2. There are two battery-icons on top of the screen here.
3. regarding the cube, Kalender is not working here (shopstopper).

some problems with 1.04

1.) when you try to send an new sms in contacts, it opens a new mms. i don't know if 1.05 still fixed this error

often the registercards dissapears, when you use PCMphonepad witrh merlot 1.04 and you cannot change the PCMphonepad back to normal "tastatur"

maybe it would be better to integrate a multimessenger instead of the real icq...
i think slik would be a good option. it's freeware, but english

this time i went back to GTouchIII6MBPagePool, but i would prefere your wm6.1 rom, when it is fixed from its small problems...

please do not include and replace too many apps!
keep the rom some kind of original... just include the htc apps and hibernate and such basic things... if someone likes other tools than the original microsoft, he can include it himself (like icq...) and make bugfixing only - like sms suggestions missing, calendar from cube doesn't start (btw: rename calendar to Kalender ;) )

i would suggest that you orientate at shadows rom... could you include the style he has (the dark one)?

yes...it is for the first screen/image you can see, when you turn on your touch...

(most roms don't change this bootimage, but it is possible to change it as well, if the rom-cooker want to do this)

The only problem I have is the low programm memory and therfore have a (maybe strange) questions:

Would it be possible to change the memory allocation in favour of the programm-memory? I have 46 MB of datamemory (which I don't use too much) and I'm regularly running out of programm memory.

Strange question 2:
What do the settings in the Performance effect?
Could it help to do some changes here?

Yes, you're right. A Vanilla would be great.
But I read pkoper is playing with pagepool optimizing. I think with more program memory free I would prefer Merlot as well. Today PDAVIET ROM
delivers more free memory. But I'm looking forward to pkoper's results.

Yes, you're right.
But in my opinion it's the best ROM for Elf in the moment.
Stable, fast and small memory requirements - but: english language, that's right.

But I'm sure, pkoper will solve the pagepool problem. PDAVIET did it as well.
So I'm sure Merlot will do this in the future, too.

My version is 1.05

i have v1.03 running on an ELF, for about 2 weeks now without problems.

this week i flashed 2 ELFin with v1.05,
first without problems, but the first ELFin was stuck after about 20h uptime;
the other one allready after 1 hour.

i did a lot for recovery:
- hard reset (format fat partition successfull)
- CID unlocked once more
- flash original rom (via tri-color bootloader which finished successfull)
- flashed several other roms for ELFin
- replaced battery
- took out battery for more the 12h and tried again


same result:
after power on (press more the 3 sec the powerbutton) -> i see the bootimage (t-online) but no Version informations (radio, etc...)
for about 15 seconds, then the device turns off again

when the battery starts loading the yellow light turns on, but after a few seconds
turns off again

t-mobile will replace them now, but i am afraid of flashing the new ones again, any idea what might have been the problem?

I found the batterystatus skin in combination with WKTask as Taskswitcher amazing.

BTW: I'm realy sorry playing with the pagepool didn't bring the wished success. PDAVIET V31B did use PP=6MB. And it's running quite fast without overclocking. Will you spent some time on it in the future again?

Hi, I ran into the same problem you described. I still have no idea, what goes wrong, but I found a possibility to "reanimate" the ELFIN after this.

You may use the "xdanova-update.exe" from O2, which fully recovers the ELFIN. But be aware, this will result in an O2 branded XDA nova. Anyway, the device works well and can be flashed again. Unfortunately I can't tell you, which 6.1 ROM works well on the ELFIN, because I've found none so far.

Ultimate: not comfortable I find

i get this Update error too... I have original Vodafone os on my touch. I unlocked it and disabled the "

deactivating or changing preferences in sms word competion doesn't work, always stays on standard...
some things of the new htc black theme are still blue, i.e. if i unlock the device, the background is still blue and not grey!

I use direct push with a exchange server of my company, if i click on the gprs-icon and choose "trennen", my touch reinitializes the connection immediatly.

Any hints?

Hey there, really big thanks for this great rom :)
Nice Work what you guys did!!!

But I have one problem concerning the sms-function of it.
My phone doesn't ring or/and vibrate when i receive a sms. Even though i have choosen a ringtone for it.
And then I have a question if there is a possibility to display the sms the way it did before and not in the new messanger-look, for me this is quite a pain.

I hope you can help with this problems. :)

i have a probleme i have HTC TOUCH (elfin) (128/256MB) in very mutch roms is battery status included but on my elfin when i instald batery status on the stock rom it also reboot al the time and when i flash my rom i try again but same probleme is there any way that i can get it completely out of the rom .???? if try every thing that i know. need some help
