tried my hand a building a theme but decided to let the guys who know what they are doing handle it.

Like i said these are just psd files (Photoshop files) not complete themes. I created a tsk theme using the files. I have uploaded the psd files here hoping someone like poorlyduck might find it usefull
You have to register do download from sbsh forums and for those of you using facade there seems to be 2 themes available

Read the first post carefully, this is not a theme! These are just Photoshop files that he made (a mockup).

True. But for those that do not have or intend on buying Facade or WAD, RLToday is a great, free option (thats why I mentioned it).

the image i uploaded in the zip, there is like a selected block(directly underneath battery and signal), where it has the clock, date, time and weather. could you erase that? so that it's just block with the fading blue colour in it.

I'm now getting the network generation (3G, Edge, GPRS) to show and trying to find a way to make flash detect if you have any missed calls or unread messages. If anybody knows how to make flash detect missed calls / unread text/email messages please PM me.

Got it running on my XDA Stellar - looks good, nice job so far.

You beat me to it, I was going to start converting it to Flash. I'm currently looking into detecting calls and messages - I'll let you know if I find anything.

You'll need to look at:

screenOrientation and setup a listener to check when it changes, you can then display it in landscape as well as portrait.

GetNetworkGeneration for 3G status

Specific feedback:
The time doesn't work for signle digits - 16:02 displays as 16:2. Simply add an if statement to check for less than 10.

The message icons are incorrect and too squashed, the date and time needs to be right aligned as per the Photoshop/original.

Yes, you need the server that they made, perhaps somebody could make a little app like theirs so that we can gather info such as missed calls, etc..

Here's my take on the WM7 style for rlToday. I have the grey version and the blue version:

It has Bluetooth and then some other icons on the far right, its very similar to SPB phone suite. Are these indicators or can you actually toggle bluetooth on/off with them?

It's SBSH Phoneweaver. I use it for phone profiles. You can hit the phone icon to toggle phone or the bluetooth to toggle bluetooth. Additionally, you can add wifi toggle and Push mail toggle, too.

UPDATE: I changed the date from long month form (April) to short month form (Apr) because a long month, such as November, plus the day Wednesday will cause the date & day text to spill over the analog clock.

The bar below i think is SPB pocket plus with the UltimateMax theme..
and the calander is SPB diary...with a custom wm6 theme...

Hey guys...the beta release of Wisbar Desktop 2 should make alot of this pretty easy...othert than weather and signal bars, I have alot of this working

I've uploaded the files I used, which are just cuts from the PSD, and the wisbar desktop cab. For the clock, use the image from RLtoday wm7ish, which is on the first post of this topic.

"Start" and "Contacts" are just text btw, with a button underneath. "3G" is also just text, but "no carrier" is there because i took my sim out.

Also, heres a screenshot of what I have so far:

Here's an updated screenshot of where i'm at. I need the orb replaced and the bars fixed. I also need the correct clock. What would be nice is if the graphics people here could do me favor and get me the following:

the correct orb, to replace the one i have (i posted a good one above, somewhere around page 11)

* I removed the parenthesis from the Voice, Email and SMS indicators for this very same reason, once it hits a double digit number, the indicator overlaps the parenthesis. For this very reason you don't see "Voice: (1)" on my screen.

* For the bottom bar, I did the following: Created a new background image containing the bottom bar and established it as my wallpaper. Then, I removed the bottom bar "soft keys" using Wisbar Advance 3, which revealed the bottom part of my background image. As it is, this does the trick perfectly since both of my Soft keys work perfectly.

* Top bar was skinned using WA3 with a "Windows Vista Ultimate" theme. Something cool that I noticed is, I can probably replace the current Start button orb with an orb similar to the one located in the bottom bar, which would probably give it a little more of a WM7 feel to it. I'll play around with it some more and let you guys know how it looks.

* Weather plugin used is the HTC Home weather plugin with a transparent background, the bottom buttons are hidden behind the bottom bar as well.

*The new signal and WIFI meters are definetly a most for this theme, I just haven't been very successful in incorporating those on my theme. If anyone knows how to just post your ideas here.

Hey guys...the beta release of Wisbar Desktop 2 should make alot of this pretty easy...othert than weather and signal bars, I have alot of this working

I've uploaded the files I used, which are just cuts from the PSD, and the wisbar desktop cab. For the clock, use the image from RLtoday wm7ish, which is on the first post of this topic.

"Start" and "Contacts" are just text btw, with a button underneath. "3G" is also just text, but "no carrier" is there because i took my sim out.

In mine, I didn't use the rltoday plugin, only the clock bg which is in /program flies/rltoday/wm7ish

I created a new clock with that background, and put it where the clock would be. for the other three things, i made the small icons that i provided into buttons each mapped to their correct program, and for the text i created a custom text with each correct variable (%unreadsms% etc) and alligned it with the small icons.

I will continue with this, it's great fun.
i'm just finishing the graphics then i will start linking the flash to open the apps when pressed, such as create new sms, phone pad etc... I'm still looking into a way how to make flash and the phone communicate so that flash can show missed calls, sms's and emails , if anybody knows??

I'm using an HTC Touch and the Flash itself looks like a compressed gif. Try increasing your display's brightness level. You'll see that it's not smooth.

Over all it's really kewl!

The "contacts" causes an error... I'll post a more detailed error when I can...
EDIT: so does the "lock keypad"
Is the app looking for S2U2 under \Program Files\S2U2\S2U2.exe? I have a version cooked into my ROM in "\Extended_ROM2\S2U2" so this might cause problems. I'm also using "iContact" cooked into the ROM although I still have all the WM PIM files and shortuts where they should be.
Does the app use relative paths? and if so where should it be run from?

Quick ideas: would it be possible to map the soft keys to the tasks/contacts buttons?
Would it be possible to have some parameters on the "E-Mail" or "MMS" buttons so that they go to the correct locations rather than just loading poutlook.exe or tmail.exe

I'm working on my own little WM7 theme.

First phase: HTC Home (w/ original txt and modified original icons)

My next to-do will be for Ultimate Launch. Similar to the iStyle (ipod like) theme, but for WM7.

Sorry guys, I tried to upload it but I'm getting erratic placement depending on the type of device used, I don't know why so I have been trying to work out some problems. I did a lot of trial and error reg hacking so this maybe the problem. Please be a little patient. These are the probs that I am trying to sort out:

Here's some progress. Working on a four versions. Large Bar w/ Gray (see screen), Large Bar w/ Blue, Small Bar w/ Blue, Small Bar w/ Gray. Ultimate Launcher and DCINOBAR would be required for this.

Once I have time to finish it up, I'll post'em. Probably a few days though. Lots of college-stuff going on right now.

I have installed your theme but a lot of things are not showing... icons, bacground, images.... Some shorctus have change to "default icon"... may be that's a problem of moving themes, i will see if i can solve this.

Yes: all shortcuts have changed to "default icon" and the wallpaper changed to "solid color", with some easy changes it can be fixed, but... I can't see anything in your second page (pocketweather no?), and only some icons in the third page so.... could you post images for all your pages? so that I can fix this.

Looks great, I think if we all put our heads together we can come up with a really great WM7 theme. Like I said previously, I am willing to help with anyone here in order to fix the little glitches that we may have.

The following is a screen of my today screen, I've been tweaking it a little and came out with some decent progress.

* A common issue in this case is the problem with alignment. The date stamp changes position according to the ammount of characters it has, in other words, it is not a fixed position and once you reach "Wednesday..." the stamp will align perfectly with the time stamp since it's got the most characters out of any day.

I've tried several strings including alignment="right" and halightment="right" but none of them seem to be doing the trick.

* I removed the parenthesis from the Voice, Email and SMS indicators for this very same reason, once it hits a double digit number, the indicator overlaps the parenthesis. For this very reason you don't see "Voice: (1)" on my screen.

* For the bottom bar, I did the following: Created a new background image containing the bottom bar and established it as my wallpaper. Then, I removed the bottom bar "soft keys" using Wisbar Advance 3, which revealed the bottom part of my background image. As it is, this does the trick perfectly since both of my Soft keys work perfectly.

* Top bar was skinned using WA3 with a "Windows Vista Ultimate" theme. Something cool that I noticed is, I can probably replace the current Start button orb with an orb similar to the one located in the bottom bar, which would probably give it a little more of a WM7 feel to it. I'll play around with it some more and let you guys know how it looks.

* Weather plugin used is the HTC Home weather plugin with a transparent background, the bottom buttons are hidden behind the bottom bar as well.

*The new signal and WIFI meters are definetly a most for this theme, I just haven't been very successful in incorporating those on my theme. If anyone knows how to just post your ideas here.

Any new ideas and feedback are more than welcome.

Okay this is my first shot of WM7 theme with comletly NEW TASKBAR, but without loosing the original Todayscreen

Its made with Batterystatus, i think much better then rltoday, where you cant do anything without mortscript.

The theme is here a plugin of Ultimatelaunch (see tabs at bottom). All Graphics are made by me and all buttons are working, inclding wifi, bluetooth, x-Button, mute etc ect.

Its not ready at the moment because i need clock, signalstrenght and maybe weather and some more graphics finetuning.

no no.. i know.. the link he put is the real WM7.. but he just remarked about all the skins people made as "not being the real WM7"..
which is obvious (though some of the skins here are much better looking than WM7 in my eyes)..

First make a copy of the qa_batterysmall.bat(or something like that), and rename it to qa_batterybig.bat(or something like that) That should work.
And vice versa with the qa_operatorsmall.bat(or something like that) and do the same with this file.

bluemetalaxe: It only shows the battery meter, and the signal doesn't work. Also, the battery meter is on the left hand side of the screen!

I tried playing with the XML but couldn't get the signal strength working. Looks like this would be perfect if it works!
