View Full Version : New to everything, falshing, roms, etc...

Ok i'm new to the pda phone software customization, and the acronyms nd short hand has got me turned around, upside down and backwards.... i've been reading about the cooked roms and apps, and it all looks cool and i'm psyched about being able to get rid of the ATT rom on my tilt but how to go about doing it all can be quite confusing..... PLEASE HELP! i'm lost

Read the wiki and spend time reading these threads - it's all here. Start with the ROM Upgrading section - people have spent a lot of time laying it out for you. I got from where you are to cooking my own ROMs with just the information provided. Once you've read all that, if you are still having trouble, feel free to PM me.

kewell... it will prolly take some time considering i'm on a borrowed puter with a borrowed wifi connection, but i will give it a shot and see what i can come up with

oh look, someone made this just for you, title says it all.

to be honest, I know we harp on people, but knowledge is the key, without it your bound to screw your phone up. Read my sig... This is truely all you really need to get your phone flashed and even fixed if you think it's bricked. I can't say 100% that it won't happen, but I would say that if you read this and search through the threads for any questions that you may come across, you should be ok. It seems over whelming but it's easy. :D

read the wiki..it really helps i remember i had my tytnii for a few months before i actually decided to flash and i remember searching everything about it and reading all the relevent posts/stickies to grasp a good general knowledge so i dont have to search and stuff while i flash...its better to know beforehand
