Ive run into a minor bug, the calulator has a white bar where the calculatiions should be. You cannot see the numbers there. Anyone else run into this?

Why does the batterystatus plugin keep disabling itself after a while? I had this on all the other TouchIT roms.

Now what did I install ......

Now the break down of the rom ........

MMS ....... NO dice mate. I can receive MMS but cant send it . I cant even forward a MMS that I receive. When I choose to create one it goes to the voice-mail template. This is so horrible a sweet rom and no MMS. Guess will have to add a MMS cab and see what happens.

SMS ....... Another perfect out the box as we all knew before flashing.

Wifi ....... Worked with out a flaw

Audio ..... Not too happy with out AudioManager

Camera ..... Sweet with the easy settings for storage as you open it the first time

Phone Key Pad .... its cute but for some reason i wanted more.

Battery ..... So far seems very strong as running wifi , full back light and been messaging like crazy.

Blue-tooth ....... Has no draw backs as of yet using 3 blue-tooth units on it atm.

Voice Command ...... It isn't working at all . I haven't tried to re-install it as of yet. But at least the phone does ring while using blue-tooth but i don't get the same sound in the blue-tooth as the phones ring-tone.

Calculator ........ Is not working as noted by kweng_ca you get a white top screen.

I do believe we know that the x button isn't working properly so the fix is needed for this. The actual time before the phone can be accessed also seems a bit longer as I cant put in my sim-card password for sometime when phone is turning on.


******* Ok tried several MMS cabs and to no help still cant send MMS only made the messaging aspect of the phone move at a snails pace. I cant seem to locate a voice command cab in my collection it has to be somewhere. If somebody has one please send or give me a link .... hopefully ill locate it soon if nobody is around.

But bottom line is the room is smooth . fast moving once phone is running. The screens all flow well together and the tweaks seem to give it a sweet feeling as you use it ....

have you done hard-spl once, you dont have to do it again (unless you have flashed a rom that includes spl, like in.ex an official RUU)

Well I found out that this ROM (or any Touch IT ROMs) don't like me to go over 221 Mhz.....


And I still had everything on screen and button press lock up on me after the initial soft reset.

Ok let me try to explain what itje said to do.



TEMP FIX FOR CALCULATOR
Right click and save this to your computer, move it to your device
Use TotalCommander to copy it to win dir on your device

1.) you will right click on that picture and choose to save it to your desktop.

2.) Verify that you have a file named SpbCalc_P on your desktop

3.) Connect your phone with activesync.

4.) Once your phone is sync'ed with activesync click the explore icon on the activesync screen.

5.) copy this file to your phone windows directory.

6.) If step #5 wont copy to that directory copy the file to your memory card.

7.) Now that image is in your phones memory card use total commander to copy it to the windows directory.

8.) Let me know if that helped you.

Commanager: on/off buttons misplaced. You when it is on - it is off, and when off - it is on. funny :)
And commanager right menu - one with links to setting - is not workimg also.

Cool....I figured it out. I just renamed the new file as a .gif and then replaced it via total commander. It only works as a .gif not a .png.

What exactly about x button made you go back?? There is an x button fix cab here. I know that the x button fix has been used for the past two touch-it roms, and i've never had a problem. Why not just install the fix?

I guess you didn't read the whole thread . And its only two pages . Thats not nice at all mate . Many here read read and do more reading . And the answers are here and there are many who are willing to help .

When you have a community such as this one it is often nice to actually read the work that so many have worked so hard into doing . Nobody here is paid for their services. And its always nice to see people helping one another all we ask is for people to read just a little bit .... LOL

So to recap all of this i dont believe with a shadow of a doubt that maybe somehow if i was sure that no way can it be true that this can or will not be but who knows but I will say that this is not the final version.

I did that and still no MMS ... Cant send but can receive . What did you do as i ran that set-up twice now. And I haven't added anything to the rom yet.

By the way I am using the t-mobile wing if thats makes any difference.

I believe thats more to do with graphics once again . Or rather the files for the backgrounds which you like. weird with those screens, its not like that for me.
maybe i upped a wrong earlier version. i gotta check on that when i get home.
but anyways, im doing most of graphics over again, and i think its quite mutch better.
this is my first "real" skinning, so i am experimenting all the time trying to find what work best.

ofcourse i need the feedback on what works and whats not working.

i will try release a new rom before weekend comes, im going away friday to sunday, so i wont be around mutch then besides through my kaiser

I know this isn't the right forum but how would I take a rom apart and edit it with bepe's kitchen? No offense love your work but I don't think you should change things on my behalf and I would like to further customize my device so its personal. I have seen many issues with batteryStatus. So don't fret . Just play with it and it will return for you . Its not the rom .

Sounds like maybe your machine needs a reboot or a re-install of active-sync . Now I have also seen this issue happen when you sync your phone to another machine and then come back to yours. And 1 last way I have seen this issue often is your usb port isnt a true 2.0

To be honest I don't remember if UL was already installed or not . But if its not then as an add-on because I do know it worked flawlessly with this rom as i always add a full version no matter what.

Yeah,i love the way it looks with all the new modern 3D icons etc for the ultimate launch, but i wish i understood the adding of the new icons and tabs.I have them all on my desktop, but ive tryed doing it and failed..can u help me ..i love how that one guy has it set to go threw the weather panel radar .etc and even the htc home would rotate that was sweet on that one youtube video..can u help me bro or anyone?? I already have the full version of the ultimate launch , but cant get it right..if not thanks anyways.

To try and make it as simple as possible. Make a folder on your phone / memory card ( I hope you do have 1.) . Then goto UL and in the settings when it asks for an icon direct it to your icon folder and the icon you wish to use. It will take some time of playing with it but you will soon have the hot look you are looking for.

Ok, found two minor issues, that I'm not sure if they're ROM related or not - they're both with Advanced Config.

First, when I changed the Windows Live Search URL (to Google mobile), I hoped it would change the search URL for the IE home page, but it did not. As there is no Windows Live related tool on the ROM, I'm not sure what the setting does.

The second is when I changed the weather location code to another, which I got from an Accuweather URL and changed the weather location accordingly, the HTC Home plugin wouldn't download the weather anymore.
Weather Location: Wilnis, NL
Weather location code: EUR|NL|NL010|WILNIS
When I reset the location using HTC Home itself, it was fine again.

Well the x button is associated with the download of the mainframe version of the rom from sesame street. MMS issues- if I try an start a new MMS is opens up to send a voicemail tag. However if I just start a new SMS and add a picture to it, somehow the cellular gods know that I am sending an MMS. Is that the only issue we are all looking to resolve? Am i missing anything?
Only other issue I cant seem to resolve on my own: keyboard light. The timeout period is 5 seconds. anyway to increase it to 15 or 30 sec? perhaps just a personal reg. edit not a Rom change.

As a side note: I really thought I was going to miss the Cube a lot.. guess what. I dont. This is a very stable Rom with lots of storage and program memory. The color scheme is awesome.. Thank you for not preloading this with lots of stuff..

MMS ....... NO dice mate. I can receive MMS but cant play it. I cant hear audio either from a MMS unless I save it and play with coreplayer.

When I choose to create one it wont allow me to add a picture unless I click menu > insert > Picture/Video. And then it will only allow me to choose a picture that I must compress. This is a little better from the previous version but still needs work.

SMS ....... Another perfect out the box as we all knew before flashing.

Wifi ....... Worked with out a flaw. Sweet as pie.

Audio ..... He added AudioManager .. YEAH !!! added my songs in it already and made my ring-tone.

Camera ..... Sweet with the easy settings for storage as you open it the first time

Phone Key Pad .... A new touch by itje. Doesn't light up as much as I would like but still a nice improvement. OK when on a call if you press show keypad you cant see who you are talking to.

Battery ..... So far seems very strong as running wifi , full back light and been messaging like crazy. Also used camera to test sending from it with MMS.

Blue-tooth ....... Has no draw backs as of yet using 3 blue-tooth units on it atm.

Voice Command ...... I don't see it ... Where is it hiding at ? Guess I can install 1 of the cabs I have for it.

Calculator ........ Is now working, I see itje was working hard.

Windows Media ...... Doesn't want to play much of anything and there is no other included player ... Not nice .. :( But on the lighter side it has a beautiful interface now.

I do believe we know that the x button isn't working properly so the fix is needed for this. The actual time before the phone can be accessed also seems to have been sped up.

When going to the start menu the today screen wont open from pressing today. I have to goto Start > Settings > Today in-order to use it on my phone. Now that I have seen this problem in many different roms I will have to say its more than likely the t-mobile wing which has this issue. OK papa showe me the light . That button just takes you to the today screen . LOL ... I thought it was to goto the today settings. So it does work correctly.

So if you want to complain about a rom remember if you don't speak up and tell the cook what you do and don't like then don't say anything at all. The cooks here are doing this out of appreciation , admiration and love of the art of cooking. If you think it is so easy then put out your own rom.

The issue of not being able to goto the wifi settings from the comm manager is also present. At least this time I can forward a MMS message but the MMS still needs a bit of work on it. Also when receiving SMS/MMS sometime it only shows the senders number not their name as saved in the phone. I remember that from before and a few had pm'ed me about it so I made a note to mention it here. I can apply the MMS fix here I guess.

Another small issue which I have seen in every rom I have ever tested for this wing and I am wondering if any cook can solve it is the super slowness of sending SMS while on a phone call. And in this rom its slower than ever before. Only the horrid original t-mobile rom would allow me to do that fluidly. But that rom really sucks in all other areas.

One last bug or issue which I cant really say if it is rom related is the call waiting . When a call comes in I get an annoying sound through the blue-tooth. I don't have the option to hang up incoming call. And when I try to answer it I never get connected. OK the call waiting is now working 100% of the time here on the wing ... No drop calls in the last 5 calls lets hope this was just the need of a few resets...

when saying its bad that I dont add another player, you might wanna consider I have a reason for it? Why would I make the rom UC if I would include everything everyone wants? There is CABS for such things :p

I really miss the voice command built into the ROM. I can add it, just runs faster when built in. Also, very hard to find a cook that doesnt add the voice dial.. ick.. that thing is bad. so for that thank you.

Thir rom is not ment to have the htc x-button/taskmanager, its supposed to have the taskmanager in batterystatus for that job, and if you use that, you will not need the x-button fix.

In final all related to x-button will be removed, and I will make the BS taskmanager be enabled by default.

Keyboard didn't give me any problems, and I'm using a Wing.


Also, anytime I overclock the main speed over 221mhz, my screen will flicker almost nonstop, even when I'm not running any programs. Does anyone know what causes this?

It's also downloading email I've sent as new mail... this is no longer kind of annoying. Anyone else have this issue with gmail? I just want imap... I can't believe there's no way to switch it or to use imap when my stock wing does it fine.

I loaded this rom yesterday, and one problem I've been having is the phone screen not loading.

While I was adding the favorites the contact screen was loading contacts very very slowly and was lagging. It happened just now when I clicked one of my 'favorite people'.

'Call status' appeared on the lower left, and the call was made.. but I could not get the keypad or call status to appear on the screen.

I ended the call, and now the phone button is unresponsive, and I can still not get the phone screen to load. I've tried hitting the call button, and also the start menu

I'm using a t-mobile wing

OK.. I went into Task manager.. Contacts, SMS, and task manager were the only programs listed. I selected end all.. and after they closed the phone screen was lying underneath.

I just tried recreating the same situation and the phone screen came up fine.

I'm using a t-mobile wingIf it is not too much effort for you try to do a hard reset (not soft reset).
If your problem still exist a reflash should be considered.

I have seen that problem wit the wing even with the horrible t-mobile rom . Its a hardware issue as I have called even them about it and don't know why I called them because as usual they were lost.

I know the feeling ... The wing is totally made wrong ... Not sure who was higher when making it HTC or T-Mobile ....

Ok I now know something like a wizard midget has snuck in and replaced the p4350 keyboard dll with the wing dll at ITjes home. I tried to reconfigure my keyboard by changing the keyboard code but still I'm stuck with the f*%@#ng Wing keyboard. Any suggestions?

[EDIT] > Got the Duprade fix to work. It seems David knows how to beat the little wizard midget ;)

Okay mate .. But more than likely its the phone.

just look for the htc x button cab and run that on ur fone..it should work...and is that rom really dat goood?? i never used it...am using OT biggie vista..

It's not the phone..

Windows is probably filtering the sms... sounds like you have way too many.. and Windows is just taking forever to organize them and slows everything down.

also not the phone.. this is a known issue with itje's Touch-IT ROM's..
he usually has a fix on the first page.. but i haven't been here for a while and don't want to read the first page.. hehe..


you can try manually updating X button..or if Battery Status is working on yours..just activate it's X button feature.

Battery Status is working, i checked it out and do not see an x button feature.

Note. I am talking about the x button on the top right part of the screen when apps are open.

setting in batterystatus, there is something called TOOLS, there is taskmanager, enable it, also choose taskmanager settings.....

is that so hard???

Deactivate it through settings - system - task manager and then use bs task manager

I have encountered a new glitch: When I try to install Random Access the process gets aborted and the following message is displayed:

"Installation was unsuccesful. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have sufficient system permission"

Why would you install Random Access again, it's already part of the ROM.

Because for some reason I can't get it working/activated so I figuered I re-install it

try using a 3rd party app that does installations for you..might be able to override windows mobile installer which doesnt like to cooperate sometimes.

I have a question regarding the flashing method. I saw in previous posts that it is stated have to HardSPL to flash. Can it be flashed using USPL method? I have yet to be able to get the HardSPL to take on my Wing yet.

But i have tried this many times I install the cabs in order, soft reset, then run the RUU. The screen turns white and it just sits there. I let it sit for up to an hour and then soft reset. At least it doesn't brick :)

Is there something I am missing here or is there another method I can try? :confused:

MAny ways ... but papas method has worked on all wings I have encountered. But there is a white screen method as well let me get you a link ...

it probably didn't complete because one of the 3 cabs didn't install properly.. prob the canyonyang cab..

you could check which did/didn't install by doing a search after it restarts. if you can't find the installed files.. they didn't install and the update won't work.

Only one of the three CABs show up in the Add/Remove programs, (aserpolicies), so I am assuming this is why it has not worked. I have not tried the HardSPL for the Wings yet, want to read through that thread before I try it.
