Hi Dutty,
On the other day we where talking about the hybrid (19199 and 19716) in order to achieve the best battery life, radio compatibility and performance, well sounds like this one could be another good candidate to the hybrid

The question is how many of the games are trials. I wouldnt be surprised if ATT included a ton of trials. They are notorious for putting a ton of trial bloat in thier roms. Im flashing now ill report back with any insight. Ive been with att since they were att the first time lol.

It could very well be the latest RC of the next version, but this is definitely not a shipping ROM. The splash screen makes that very clear.
As for mods, I am undecided...it actually looks pretty legit. I am reflashing and will pull the battery at the customization screen and see what I get with just the core installation. Customizations seem to just be the AT&T bloat. I didn't see anything that screamed "mod" or "hack".
Update: either I am a moron, or the "pull the battery at the customizations screen" trick no longer works. Upon reboot, it runs setup from scratch, including trying to rerun customizations. Did I miss a memo?

Don't know if you saw the post I had in general, but the final MS test code was put to bed last week & is shipping to OEM's & carriers Tuesday.
THIS IS CERTAINLY OFFICIAL! There is not a ship 6.1, unless you count test devices, but this is DEFINITELY the official final MS test release.
This is also the FIRST Kaiser oriented 6.1.
I should have another copy of the official release dumped straight from a test device on Tues./Wed. & I'll run a few comparisons, but I do believe they will be identical!
VERY NICE WORK, INDEED! For a moment I thought I was gonna be the guy that released this, man you must have some GREAT SOURCES. I'm definitely jealous. :o

I can tell you that the 202 build had some issues with unresponsiveness. Screen & buttons would freeze from time to time for a couple seconds.
So far I've rebuilt with this extracted os.nb & haven't seen any of these issues. So, I'd scrap you 202 work, like I did, & start stripping. (Man, there is a LOT OF CRAP to strip!)

It just woks perfect and fast, better than any other WM 6.1 ROM.
Perhaps dependent on the type of device? (I own a TyTnII in the Netherlands).
I'm curious about this new 209 one...

Ahh... I have a TYTNII & a Kaiser, so I tried it on both. The 202 was fast, but it would have small 2 sec. periods where it would freeze. The 209, is much more stable, for me, on both devices.
I'm on my third pass now at cutting out all the crap though. That's the downfall. :(

I think you're right on the money. I have done some work for Cingular and I swear I find it very difficult to believe they would put anything on a device for the enjoyment of the user only.
They only put crap on the phone they think will make them money or generate revenue through usage.
I may give it a try though and just see. I checked the OZ web site and they send the texts through their gateway. Who knows what they can or will do with it.

OZ uses SMS, but you do get charged unless you have one of the unlimited messaging packages, which include unlimited text, picture, video, and IM.

Looking over your comparison. Most are not too bad except its seems very odd they would use the older camera. I wont be suprised if we see another version of this ROM pop up in the very near future.

Yes i think that is the newest. Id like to see an extraced version to play with and see if its different. If one isnt around before next weekend I may pull it out myself. I have a super busy week at work this week.:(
Can anyone who has installed this comment on the home?

Gotten really tired of bug hunting with WM6.1 3.02, 3.03, 3.08 & 3.10. So I'm not even going to bother with 3.14.
Someone tell me if you can cook out SQM with this version... Thanks!
I thought I was the only one flashing all the time somtimes 3 times a day.
I guess I will follow you and start to use my phone too

well, i think there is something fishy with this rom. Awhile ago i ported the 6.0 att customizations to the wm6.1 3.02 rom and ended up with this same type of rom, with the same errors from the porting. These errors were: startup animation without sound, and cingular video not working! With that being said, you would think this would be an automatic fix from att, even in a test rom!

BBC constant vibration
After period of usage with BBC active and Telenav
downloaded, but not in use, device is plugged into charger
and will no longer respond
nice, i have to use bbc for work & the 'hung' vibration was getting really annoying in the other roms

On my Tilt with fresh flash it shows:
114.55 Total Storage
85.27 Free
101.32 Total Program
67.17 Free
It's interesting that is has MSVC 1.6.19209 (most updated version) but it still has the Unknown or Private Caller bug which will not announce or play a ringtone.
Ok, so it looks like there is the same amout of bloat as before with the 6.0 att rom.

Yes i think that is the newest. Id like to see an extraced version to play with and see if its different. If one isnt around before next weekend I may pull it out myself. I have a super busy week at work this week.:(
Can anyone who has installed this comment on the home?
Has ATT ever included a HTC Home before in any of the previous roms? I dont remember it in any of the official releases.
To answer your last question, no AT&T has never included HTC Home before.

YES, The PBAP protocol is included in the test image.
Also, For all the people squaking about older programs, I can tell you a lot of the CORE components have been updated. + the 202 version doesn't count, it came here modded already.
For the noobies wondering what this ROM means:
A couple of things you need to understand. THERE ARE NO SHIPED 6.1 roms until a device ships with 6.1.
The is a release of the final MS code, shippinjg to OEMs officially on Tuesday. It is NOT important for any applications. It IS IMPORTANT for base MS apps & overall system improvements.
It will not be important for apps, until HTC has gotten their hands on it & reworked the OAL (OEM Adaptation Layer).
So this may be great for ficing issues & speeding things up, but I have completely stripped it & while a lot of the core components are updated, the apps, & etc. are still par for the course, some even being older. But again, the apps in it are what HTC provided MS for tresting purposes & these will be modified AGAIN once the OAL is reworked. I am certain the INTSHRAPP will be better hidden this time too. Or reworked for monitoring.
This is the FIRST KAISER oriented ROM (Particularly AT&T) to ever be released & right now it is a complete mess with over 20MEGS of the famous AT&T crap ware.
There will be more, but not until the HTC folks & AT&T have had a look & there say.

A few more tidbits!!!
1. This rom is set to communicate with MS on a twice-weekly basis.
2. The cid.dll camera module is newer that that of the fix on the HCT website & indeed contains the fixed code.
3. The big one!!! At least for the time being, or for test purposes at least, AT&T has NOT found a way to monitor the use of Internet Sharing!!!! Instead the ar using xml to kill it, deleting it during customization. So tether away, but of course don't over do it. ;)

Where did you find this info!?
2. The cid.dll camera module is newer that that of the fix on the HCT website & indeed contains the fixed code.
In the Quality Hotfix from the HTC Page is a CIF.DLL with the version number 3.21 - in this AT&T Test ROM is a CIF.DLL with the version v3.14. Are you sure the last one is newer?
4. ArcSoft MMS 5_0_31_7 WM6.1
According the Options Menü in the MMS-Folder it is v5.0.31.11.

For all you ROM flashing junkies, I decided to quickly cook up what y'all have been asking for, a version without some of the AT&T bloat.
Here is a quickly modified version, with all the CABs remarked out from OEM\OperatorPKG\config_operator.txt, to prevent automatic installation. The cabs are still there.
;CAB: \WINDOWS\MP_CVSDcpl_20070202.cab

;CAB: \WINDOWS\Cingular_Pre_Midlets_20071219.CAB
;CAB: \WINDOWS\Today_Order_05Marb08.cab
;CAB: \WINDOWS\Move_Camera.cab
;CAB: \WINDOWS\HTCAP_Service_ATT.CABYou can install these yourself, with either Sleuth's UC 2.0 (added SDAutoRun.exe and modified config.txt) or Tier Install (link found in Start Menu\Programs\Tools), both which I've cooked in.
NOTHING ELSE WAS CHANGED. (Radio & test splash still included.)
I haven't flashed this myself, nor do I plan to, so if you have any problems, you're on your own :D (Which is why I haven't created a new thread about this either)
If you want more stuff removed, wait for someone elses' ROM or extract it and rip out what you don't like yourself, using the ROM kitchen. (The AT&T Bloatware is in the OEM\OperatorPKG folder).

Has anyone noticed the default APN for media net is IWS.att (i think or maybe .cingular, i already changed it when i couldnt connect anymore) instead of WAP.cingular?
what prompted me to look is that i couldnt connect yesterday and when i did it was sloooooow like around 400k for downloads... after i changed back to wap.cingular everything was good again. I also noticed i couldnt use certain internet apps with IWS (opera beta, skyfire beta), i believe they "fixed" some things with that new apn.

It was covered in the SQM + WM6.1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=370683) thread. Sleuth255 removed some DLLs (discovered when comparing his ROM w/ 3.02 stock), while akadonny went further, with steps provided in that thread.
It's another reason why I don't want to cook one of these ROMs. Debug mode with phone home capabilities is a sneaky way to get feedback. No wonder why these ROMs get leaked out by Microsoft, HTC & AT&T so easily. They want us to be their guinea pigs and fix their bugs, all for free too...

I'm sorry if this has been covered in other WM 6.1 rom variations, but with this being an "official albeit test" Tilt ROM, I was wondering if anyone can get Cellular Video to work? I'm one of those rare people who don't totally hate all the bloat because I actually use most of those things from time to time. I can understand that there may be issues getting CV to work in cooked roms not meant for Tilt users specifically. But since this one is made by the carrier for exactly that customer, I was hoping it would be functional.
Thanks!

Sir, this is what you need: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=333898
There's a tweak in the program that changes what you device is identified as. In a custom rom the Kaiser is identified as HTC_Kaiser, which is wrong. It needs to identify itself to the AT&T network as the HTC-8900 which KaiserTweak can do.
And I'll say it before the others, make sure you try to search first.

No offense, but why does everyone assume that you haven't search just because you don't have an answer? I thank you for pointing me in the right direction. But even searching within that thread for the term "cellular video" yields no results.
As we all know, searching is what we tell everyone to do before posting a question. And as we all also know, searching often does not reveal the results you're looking for unless you use the perfect terms that the search engine is looking for. None of my 5 wording combinations could find anyone that got it properly working.
In every previous 6.1 ROM, it was broken. So I simply waited for someone to work on it as I have not had the knowledge. Stupid me for thinking AT&T would get AT&T's feature working. :P
Again, thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I'll post back if it all works out.
******** EDIT ******** No luck. The Cellular Video link now works because the device is recognized properly, but Real Player is unable to connect. If anyone has any other ideas, let us know! I'm a half a step closer to working CV now.

Great reception in NW Ohio prolly best seen on stock or cooked so far.
GPS fix was less then minute on Tom Tom and held 8-10 sats whole time.
Had issue with "error connecting bubble" yet posted fix of editing medianet connection to wap.cingular instead worked great and actually increased speed of teathering.
Videoshare is smoothest i have seen on an att phone - very quick load time, pic quality is good and lag is decent.
Changed device name in advanced config to 8900a and able to get everything used to be able to on old stock rom but still getting error in real player for CV like other poster Anyone Have a cab for realplayer to see if downgrading the prog will get the error to go away.. (tried quick search didn't see anything) To further Clarify I have searched and found cabs for real player but they all include reg edits to change non att stock roms to allow for cell video. I am looking for a clean real player only cab to replace the one there and not change anything else since all else is working great for me and i dont want to take a step back on other items geting this going.
HTC Home Plug seems to slow device down significantly. On all other roms with Home enabled and no background running programs i would expect 60+m free prog space yet on this rom it consistantly drops to 40-45 with no running programs. Once removed from today screen shot up to 50m free, still lower then normal and would love to find out what else is dragging this down. BTW using quickmenu display mem free in titlebar as gauge for this.
Switch to slide open screen refresh rate is very quick once updated settings in advanced config, faster then thought i would see from stock rom, competes with speeds i realized on Alex's roms.
Bluetooth stack holds good for all three headsets i use, able to get 5-10 feet further from phone then was able to on old stock rom and still stay clear.
Only other wish for this rom would be to use a different dialer screen and still maintain ability for VS. I tried retouched dialer and option went away so i assume ability is tied to dialer.
Just my humble thoughts...

In San Francisco I can report similar findings as in socal and others. Amazing signal strength and call clarity. VERY zippy, even with all of the bloat. GPS locks in less than 30 secs INSIDE...that is absolutely unprecedented for me, GPS was always VERY slow to lock regardless of what I did. CV now also recognized but real player exhibits unknown error.
Near-Best ROM I've used, and I've at least tried most of the popular ones floating out there. Can't wait to see this thing run to its potential.

Went against recommendations on this site to hard SPL before flash and it worked flawlessly so no FOR THIS ROM ONLY no need to hard spl. If you go to anything else obviously yea you will need to do it in the long run anyway..

DUDE, What's the MATTER with you???? Don't say that crap. You're gonna have every idiot from Timbuctoo to B.F. Egypt trying to install this on their HTC TYTNII.
It'll work for your AT&T unit, but not other CID locked units from other carriers. You're gonna have 20 idiots a day PM'ing me to get them out of BL.
This is an AT&T ROM!
NOTE: ALWAYS HardSPL. I have seen AT&T slipping new security protocols into upgraded SPL versions. If you do not HardSPL before flashing ROM's you just may end up stuck with that ROM until someone with the time decides to fix it.
I have had three issues already this week where new guys flashed the updated AT&T rom withou HardSPL & so far all three of them are now stuck with AT&T roms & have not been able to hardspl.
If people try flashing this without HardSPL & end up stuck or Bricked, please contact: gadgetdad, LOL ;)

Point well taken, when i wrote it i assumed i needed to walk on egg shells in posting it. I agree hard spl is the way to go, and in my lack of knowledge was un aware about spl security protocols. As a glimmer of reasoning for the statement - I posted as a furthering of knowledge showing there was a way - again i retract and appoligize as i am now wondering if I am now "stuck" with this rom - even though i am happy with it this hour. Looks like i have some more reading to do before i make such statements....

I could not get the MS Voice Command that came with the ROM to work correctly either. So I installed the original one I had when I purchased MSVC. Version is 1.60.4622.0. Could I second this - has anyone managed to get video calling working on a derivative of this ROM? I've cooked in Nadavi's 3G dialer just like I did on the base HTC 3.02 ROM (when it worked), and it only makes a voice call when you press video on this one.
Anyone got any ideas, as that's the one thing stopping me finishing v1.3 of my little ROM now. :)
Thanks.
AT&T has a feature coming to the Tilt with WM6.1 called AT&T Video Share. It's basically 1-way video calling for us behind-the-times Americans. I'm going to venture to say that this component may be interfering with standard 3G Video Calling.

Before where? On the Tilt or on something else? Thanks for letting us know!
i used video share on the lg cu500v, a707, a737, a727, shine, blackjack 2. in comparion the video coming into the tilt is sharper than any other device i used. sending the video produce the same chop video streaming on other phones, but with another tilt on this same test rom it was actually enjoyable.

I could not get the MS Voice Command that came with the ROM to work correctly either. So I installed the original one I had when I purchased MSVC. Version is 1.60.4622.0. I can report this one is working for Dialing from my Plantronics Headset. However I don't think it would announce callers but it would ring through the Headset.
I suspect that it has more to do with registry entries made during the install than the version of the voice command. Now, if only I knew what registry entries....
anyhoo, thanks for the reply

I'm able to sync with my Exchange server once or twice after a reboot but after that I get an 800FFFF sync failed error. Does anyone have a fix for that? I have not had a problem with the original ATT build or the any of the roms from this board. I think I had the 199 and 202 builds on it as well. IMAP email and web works fine without need for a reset.

This is not a shipped Rom, MS Voice Command included here is not technically considered as released into the wild.
If the SHIPPED version of this Rom includes MS Voice Command as an OEM Package then it will become fair game.
It is possible that MSVC is included for testing purposes only and is not intended to be part of the Shipped Rom.
Until we have a SHIPPED ROM please respect XDA-Devs and don't post MSVC.

FYI @ Kyphur, Actually MSVC is an official part of WM6.1 per microsoft. This will be included in several of the ROM's including most aall of the SP updates & is on a per Carrier basis for touch devices.
Technically, this is NO DIFFERENT than their structure for Remote Desktop or Live Search, Windows Live, MS Office Mobile, & Internety Sharing (All of which are licensed products), but those seem to be okay. I suggest you take a look here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/6-1/version-comparison.aspx#tablenotes . Not only is the structure apparent & similar, but MSVC has also been in the wild already on a few SP devices as well.

I wasn't aware of that, kind of sucks for those of us who actually paid for it.
As for the SP version we've only allowed it since there was an official shipped SP Rom (t-Mobile I believe) with it.
So it really doesn't change my statement. Once there is a SHIPPED ROM (which I guess would be any "Pro" WM6.1 Rom) the we're in the clear. If there are already devices shipping with WM6.1 and VC as OEM then it's good.
Gotta keep walking that fine line...

If you cook this rom then it's okay but if it's pulled out of the ROm then it's WAREZ.
FWIW, VC v1.6.17913 (what you end up with if you get the VC Replacement Files) works with WM6.1
It's a grey area but we need to error on the side of caution.

I have seen a few posts on here about the Real Player "Unknow Error" message when trying to view Cingular Video clips.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=375037&highlight=unknown+error&page=25
Read about half way down the page I think you might find what you are looking for.
Well flashed this rom last night and tested it and that doesn't work on this one atleast on my phone maybe someone else will have some luck.
Well I have found away around the unknown error on real player, you have to download instead of a direct stream, but atleast you can view the clips maybe sometime it will be fixed, but until then here you go.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=282651&page=6
Download the shogun_realplayer cab and install it on your device. Now you should be able to watch the Cingular Video clips.

Heres one... im somewhat still noobish when it comes to ROMs, although i've flashed my Hermes sometimes multiple times a day, probably have a dozen or so flashes on my Tilt. But reading through the threads I see that video calling can be affected by the dialer.
So my question, what are the chances that the Video Share feature is controlled by the dialer? Would it be possible to extract it for use in other ROMs or is there something else I'm missing?

Note to my fellow self ROM cookers out there....
If anyone has stripped this ROM down into suitable packages for cooking using Alex's kitchen, I was wondering if you would be willing to post up the ROM folders for us wannabe chefs. From what I gather, the ATT bloat in this ROM is scattered throughout, so stripping the ROM is a daunting task.
I only ask this since Alex has decided to stay away from the 6.1 ROMs for the time being, and he seems to be a resident expert at ripping these ATT ROMS down to the bone and providing us the ability to add back only what we need in our own builds using his kitchen.

i was able to determine that i was not able to do a video share call once i switched to the retouched dialer. When i switched back all was fine and was able to make the VS call again.
Interesting part to know though was when i switched from the ims@cingular to wap@cingular i was not able to make a vid share call with anyone not using a tilt with this rom. I had to switch back to the ims@cingular before I was able to VS with my wife's shine again.

I'm lost... did you switch roms or just dialers? and did you manually change the apn? I just gave it a shot and couldn't get the option for video share... everything is cool on the account and the phones.

Sorry i will try to be more specific.
All observations are with THIS rom only.
Tried Video Share without changing any settings and it worked. (button above "hold" called video became enabled and was able to stream back and forth)
was able to VS with another tilt flashed to this rom and to a lg shine
did soft reset - installed retouched_dialer2 - soft reset tried to do video share again and obviously the video button was not on the call status page and was not in the call options page so could not initiate a video share call. Determined video share ability was enabled only through the stock dialer that comes with this rom.
Uninstalled retouched_dialer2 - soft reset tried video share again like first test to make sure i was back to begining and able to do video share (did so successfully)
went into settings/connections/connections/manage existing connections/ edit media net/ edit media net access point name to "wap.cingular" - soft reset and attempted Video share
to tilt flashed with this threads rom worked fine
to lg shine it would not enable the video share button on call status page
went back into connections and set back to IMS.cingular - soft reset and all worked again.
Determinations were that had to have all the same as flashed in order to vid share to other non flashed to this rom video share phones
Generalizations:
Have 3g service in all tests, 3g "blue with orange fire ball" sim, video share feature code on both sender and recievers handsets
hope this makes more sense... if not pm me and i will try to further explain.

No that was fine. I work at an AT&T dealer location, so I've made sure to have the feature on both lines. My coworker used a LG Trax to make the test, neither of us saw the option for video share. Switched the apn to IMS.cingular and called him back, we had to end the call, but I saw a box or something appear right before I ended... haven't had a chance to try it out again.
If you go to "Video Share Options" under the phone menu, there's also an about page. What are the chances this is a CAB file? I really wanna see about extracting the dialer and trying it on another ROM though. I guess I'll be reading up tonight....

The good news is that Alex's version of this ROM seems to solve the problem I had with the stock ROM using WiFi and Bluetooth together. Also, iGo works with this ROM and it did not with the NoThrills ROM.
The bad is that I'm getting the dreaded "There is a problem connecting to the GPRS service in your registered home network" message. I have no data plan, so the message makes sense. I figure, "It's probably the HTC Home plugin hitting the web for Weather." So, I thought, no problem... I'll go to the Connections settings and adjust the Network Management settings accordingly. No luck... the message still appears. Additionally, it is not the Home plugin looking for weather data -- after the change, I forced it to try to update and it failed, but it did not attempt to use GPRS.
So, I fired up Total Commander and edited the registry to disable MEdia Net and AT&T ISP GPRS providers, but that didn't stop the message, either. Whatever it is wants GPRS and ignores all of these settings.
If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Otherwise, it's back to the stock ROM as soon as my battery is charged enough to do the flash. If you don't have an unlimited data plan, I'd watch my usage, were I you.

Surf the web on WiFi and answer a call with your Bluetooth headset and your WiFi connection will drop. Listen to music on Bluetooth headphones and try to get a WiFi connection, and you simply can't.

I get this error with all GPS applications if A-GPS is enabled. It must be a bug. If you disable A-GPS with Advanced Config, or via a registry edit, this should go away.
I would really like to know why this happens. It also happens with Dutty's Latest Hybrid rom as well.

Second you need to CID unlock your device.

I've noticed in the forum that in several places people ask about how to fix the Tilt keyboard layout. The solution is to add/change the HKLM>HARDWARE>DEVICEMAP>KEYBD>CWSLayout from 1 to 0.
This changes the layout to the one the Tilt has, but one key combination doesn't seem to work: the Fn+Space. This toggles changes the characters based on what's in the "sym.0409.txt" file in \Windows, for example, from a to á, to à, the c to a ç, etc. This is key for those we type with accents.
Any suggestions? I guess the original ATT rom has that thing working but then it disappears when you flash with some other ROM.

Thanks. The fix does exactly the change I just mentioned in my post. You can use the cab or do it directly by editing the registry.
But none of those solutions work. The keyboard layout does get fixed. But the FN+Space combination doesn't work.
Since this is driving me crazy, what I did was install the original ATT Rom. Now I know what the problem is: the original ATT Rom doesn't have the FN+Space combination working!!! But if you use the other ROM's (English Layout, for example) the Fn+Space combination works just fine. It's just that the other Fn keys are all mixed up or gone.
So the problem seems to be how to use the ATT/Tilt layout and remap just that one key combination: Fn+Space.

Hey shogun, I think I discovered something a little different about this rom. I've noticed that after flashing and after every soft reset, I get an "cannot connect" message from the data icon. Now at one time I was surfing the internet with no problems, then next, right after a soft reset, I noticed that my data would not connect at all. Going thru the data connection configs, I also discovered the default apn set to "ims.cingular". I changed that setting to "wap.cingular" and data connected successfully, but i still recieved the "cannot connect" msg a couple times before connecting successfully. The next day, with the "cannot connect issue in mind" i was troubleshooting the problem of the data not connecting immediately after a soft reset, I unchecked the "quickgps" app from automatically updating after expiration, and then soft reset. Again, my data would not connect at all! I checked my data configs again and noticed that my apn was set back to "ims.cingular". With that being said, could it be possible that after a reboot, the default apn is set to "ims.cingular" which give the "cannot connect" msg a for a few seconds, and somwhere while setting up from the soft reboot, something is sometime changing the apn back to "wap.cingular" and sometimes not??? Hopefully you'll grasp my question!
Ok I did some more tests, and found out(at least on my phone) that "something" is resetting the apn back to default(ims.cingular) which is causing error msg and data not to connect immediately after a soft reset, but after a few seconds, that "something" changes the apn back to "wap.cingular" and successfully connects the data! can some enlighten me what could be causing this? .reg, .rgu, .provxml, .xml possibly????

Well the IMS is there for video share and whatever else AT&T has in store for us (as far as multimedia goes) and is probably also affected by the SIM (in order to use any IMS feature, you have to have one of the latests 3g sims, latest as in past year and a half). If you notice on your account or your bill you'll see UMTS Capability (or something like that) and IMS (or something) under features or plan.
I was trying to get video share to work and put it on ims.cingular, and data worked just fine, I never bothered changing it back.
Hope that helps somewhat, basically im thinking it might also be the SIM.

You'll have to disable the security warning first, install Schaps Advanced Config, then toss the AutoConfig.exe file in the windows folder and reboot. Voila!
Ok, I must be brain dead ( I was in a car accident yesterday, maybe that explains it) :D
After installing Schaps Advanced Config, is there a setting i need to change, then copy the sdconfig over to windows, or do i rename it to autoconfig?
thanks !

my data works fine as well its just that after every soft reset, my phone cycles thru these phases where the "cannot connection" error pops up, then my data would connect fine! i do know the reason why its doing this which is something is changing the apn to ims.cingular from wap.cingular, then it changes back to wap.cingular, which is why my data eventually connects again. what i want to know is how to stop this from happening?

I think that's whats happening with me, I'll have a connection, then nothing. If I go into the connection settings, and just go through them, and click finish, it'll work most of the time, otherwise a soft reboot, and I'm good for a short period of time.....
help?

This is my first post. Not sure if anyone's done this but I extracted the new radio and then created a .nbh file with it. I've zipped it and placed it:
http://rapidshare.com/files/107555433/RADIO_1.65.14.06.zip
I like some of the other 6.1 roms and thought folks might enjoy the radio alone.
Thanks....
UPDATE NOTE:
Maybe a flawed attempt.
Note that it can only work with ATT roms!!! Forgot about that issue.
Sound works at first -- then stops working... :-( Brainfart on my part.
Does strange stuff with Sleuth 3.0 -- Still something to play with I guess.....

Thank you for this. I also did this a while ago and placed in my downloads. I kind of like extracting radio's from ROM's its quite pleasurable. :)
...and not bad for your first post. I commend you good sir.
Just be advised that this radio will only work 100% with 19202 and 19209 builds.

Yep -- Works for a while with Sleuth's 3.0. Then as soon as you use the speaker phone, you lose sound. Slingplayer and other sound intensive apps still work. Oh well -- back to Radio 1.64.08.21 for me for now...

OS build: Windows Mobile 6.1 AKU 1.0.2 Build 19209
hey incognitho.. nice work bro.. but i tried to use this sys folder with my elfin (xip already ported to 19209) with .rom and .vm from my original stock rom. but kind of screwed up, like the themes wont change anything on screen (wallpaper remains to the htc default) the backlight settings and device info packages suddenly disappeared from the settings. device wont connect with pc through usb. had to flash back an elfin shipped rom and then back to my other custom cooked rom. any idea what might have gone wrong in there? all i did was just copied the sys folder and replaced the .rom and .vm with my stock ones

Search for a little app called Kaiser Tweak, thats what I used, and you will be able to set the web browser to be identified as the AT&T Tilt, that will at least let you view the CV page. Now after you get that working, search the forums for an app I believe it was the shogun_realplayer.cab
When you install that, CV will work just fine, and it actually seems a little smoother in my opinion that using the streaming player that was built in, thats a personal opinion, but hey it works on 6.1 right?
Sorry I couldn't link the things you need,

I would give the NIKI 1.58.16.27 ROM a shot. I know a lot of people like it.

I've activated all 6 tabs on the home plug, had to downlaod the patched version through HHC to get it and the weather to work.
also while doing some searching i found a new (or what i think to be new, correct me if i'm wrong) icon in the help/what do these icons mean? section that is labeled "Internet Calling" and looks like a Phone with a WiFi symbol. could this mean there a future plans to include VoIP with Stock at&t roms or WM6.1? and if so where are the programs linked to this icon.

Long thread with lots of links and somewhat confusing can someone point me to the ATT 6.1 ROM link that is the latest and greatest. I realize these are official in beta, RC ,etc... just seems to be quite a few links all with the same name and wanted to make sure I was getting the latest. Thanks again

Read the Wiki and it fully explains how to change the boot up screens. Very easy to do if you follow the directions. In a nut shell you need to dump the rom and rebuild it using the 01_.nbh file.
