what are the basic difference , bet wean the previous rom and this one . I dont think its worth flashing only for the home screen . It will be great if you can explain what are the things which you have included in this new ROM :)

I updated my device with this rom. Its worth an upgrade :). This version is fast (very much faster than previous one...). But some issues are also there (like the X button is not closing the apps... :o )

When you say it wont close, does it close using any task manager or ... it just doesnt close....:)

It was for kaiser so will it be compatible with our devices(Gene).

Ok, so I tried it myself and as yet (just two min. back it got updated) its equally good and fast.Though does not have One Note preinstalled.
Additional thing is Task Manager and else everything is same.
No problem with Messaging as yet.
Rest I will write after further testing.

Hmm...this is by far the best ROM I have tried here.But a working solution for X button and closing apps automatically will be good.Currently I am using QuickMenu and BatteryStatsExt. for that purpose.I strongly believe that few tools should be pre-installed in any custmized ROM like Dotfred's Task Manager, PPCPimBackup, WIMR, PHM regedit and Esmertec Jbed.
Any idea how to change pagepool size safely in it.

Hi,
Just updated to build 19209 and finding it good.Best thing that I liked about is that it contains some of the essential apps in it like working Task Manager(I think v1.0 is the best that HTC ever made). Network Wizard would have completed an otherwise wonderful piece of effort(and ROM).
Will post further later.

Use Gene_HSPL.exe by Nirvana(I think).It is the simplest and best way to unlock.Search it.

Bro' , check power setting.Uncheck the option to device off after some time.It is in Today >Setting >System >Power . Better is to put it on charging and uncheck option under external power supply(or something )

no these settings doesnt work ... nw i use audio manager to keep my device alive nd mute it ..by this i can use net ..without any disturbance ..anyways thanks for trying to help :confused: and i hope in next upgrade this problem may be fixed :)

I installed the 6.1 ROM and loved it. I have an unlimited GPRS plan which worked great for a few days and I could use my Outlook exchange server email and live messenger. However, now I am getting a problem.

That's because the wince.nls in xip part.
If you use the wwe sys part,the wince.nls in xip part must be wwe(wince.nls_0409(266kb)).
if use my xip part form chs ROM,There will be the issues mentioned above

and in the next version i will make a wwe xip part.

Theres a lot of clutter in the Windows folder,remnants of old programs taking up space. The WM5 default dialer,Action Screen,etc. Could you make the next one with PCM instead of iContact. Since youre sticking the Resco trial in there, throw in the FTP and Registry plugins as well.

Dude, you have to copy Gene_HSPL.exe to your device and run it.......After your device reboots, you can then flash it!

Thansk for this.. finally got my phone back up and running properly after an earlier 6.1 which sucked.

problems with this ROM
1) Volume seems much lower
2)HTC Audio Manager hangs the phone whenever you try to select a song. Also, it shuffle plays songs only from the first 3 folders with mp3s. :|
3)pBar used could've been new

no worry, if i m not mistaken, u mean u cannot forward anymore sms to others?

Just go into the sms, tab on the empty place in the threaded sms, then use your dpad to select the sms u wish to forward, click "menu" at the right corner, u should see the "forward" function work again...my bad english too....

Audio manager issue is rectified as i am using a new audio manager package and i replaced the files in the windows folder using total commander .

this was the issue which i was facing .....( As you can see there is no slider in the Trim page )

First of all a BIG THANKS for all the efforts u r putting up.I genuinely appreciate it.A few suggestions :
Check your ROMs before posting.
Post a changelog. Whats new and possible screenshots.
Try to make changes which make ROM faster and more stable like removing some unusable and undesired Window components.
Try to keep GSFinder+, WM5torage, PIMBackup, PHM Registry editor, Total commander ,BatteryStatusExt 1.0.5, Jbed java and Opera mini 4.1 as default apps.
I m humbly suggesting these cause I appreciate your efforts and want to help u in making them even better.
Btw, build 19209 is the best one I ever tried and 19900 worst one.
Looking forward for your next release.

Try to make changes which make ROM faster and more stable like removing some unusable and undesired Window components.
Try to keep GSFinder+, WM5torage, PIMBackup, PHM Registry editor, Total commander ,BatteryStatusExt 1.0.5, Jbed java and Opera mini 4.1 as default apps.
I m humbly suggesting these cause I appreciate your efforts and want to help u in making them even better.
Btw, build 19209 is the best one I ever tried and 19900 worst one.

Dude , we can never make it to wrk like diamond .. its just a skin .. DIamond has a dedicated GUI ( graphic User interface ) or GRaffix memory ... thats why its grafix is soo smooth ...With the kinda proc speed and hard ware what we have in gene , we would never be able to do that .

Well thanks for the offer , but i dont think i am expert enough to do that .. I did some reg tweeks and installed the fixed version.. it works fine for me .

Any ways i take this as a challenge ... i will get back to you .. three things i wanna know 1) problm u face , 2)the type of connection u use ... 3)wht is the error message

WLM probelm description:

after i flash the ROM, first I install WLM (latest 10.6.0034.0800) on device, restart.

after reboot, I connect my gene through activesync, to make sure the internet connection is working, I launch Pocket Internet Explorer to make sure it has valid connection. Then I click on Messenger, try to sign in, it return with msg: "There's a connectivity problem. Make sure you'are in an area with good reception and try again."

Then I exit Messenger & click on Windows Live this time, normally on first time activation, it will prompt us to accept the windows live T&C, but it just shown an error msg appreared with the same connectivity problem again.

So the next step is to install network wizard for my edge connection, then I reboot, launch Messenger or Windows Live, immediately my Gene establish an Edge connection automatically, but at the end, same error occur...

em..then I try install an Spectec SDIO Wlan Card on my Gene, make sure it has stable internet connection, then I repeat the signing in step, both failed.

I still remember those Windows Mobile 6.0 rom, it has conflict issue with my chinese language support, well i can understand it but this time in WM6.1 I did not install any other software/program/driver before I sign in to WLM & the connectivity problem still exist.

Hope my description clear enough for you to point me up what went wrong with my Gene.

Dear brother,
I am using both Vista Enterprie and XP sp2 on a multi-boot machine.Let me detail u a bit :

i)ActiveSync
I was trying to connect on XP when it failed to connect and started the troubleshooter.Trouble shooter in its report showed three errors - 2 related with IP address and 1 with connection with the device.Device was properly connected(on hardware level).Then I downgraded back to build 19213 and it was fine.

ii)Bluetooth
No device was getting able to connect to my device and vice-versa.Tried most of the things.

iii)Network wizard
Personally I find it to be one of the most neccessary piece of software on my device.Its icon in control panel was as dead as stone.Finally had to be removed.


All these problems went away with 19213(though I still like 19209).

Personally I feel that the some of the basic neccessities should work fine in any ROM.
Btw I am just planning to test this new 19588 and probably will come back with some more suggestions.

But a little problem is that I don't use WML at all rather I use IM+.
Secondly, I never had any problem with Vista in this regard.Infact last two upgrades/flashing have been done on Vista only.
Actually that ROM was buggy(lets agree on this bro').Well, u need some minor failures to be major success, isn't it ;-)

my friend,smart dialing is working the other way. after you press the contact name, for example if you want to call alex,you have to press 2539,after this you have to press "hide keypad", then you will see alex appeared already same as previous smart dialing function, hope everybody understood my explanation.

hey this is a excellent release. its very beautiful and feature rich. lots of gr8 preloaded stuff, fast. but still few original P3400i features missing. Custore feedback option not working. no windows update support.

one request. can i plz get the cab or install files of the softwares pre loaded.
Like Bluetooth On/Off, Voice Recording, etc.

First things First. Wonderful job on the ROM. Loved the way it works

I am not sure if any one else is bothered with this problem. When i make a call and end it, I cannot use the call button to redial again.I just doesnt want to do anything. Just presses down but wont do anything.
PS: There could be two screens here first one the call screen where u get the icons fr speaker and stuff and the other with the number keypad. When i the call end and i hit the green call button again, it takes me to the keypad screen and then the call button wont do anything. To make the same call again i have to go to the history log and call again.

Please help me out. what can i do to fix this. I have updated with ur latest rom with this update.

Hard Reset the GENE and then connect to USB when in bootloader screen. Thats what I did and it worked..

Yes .. it is damn irritating ... I got more frustrated .. as i am having my wedding next week and i was in the middle of some arrange ments ... Lom how pda mob timer thing got this timer thing integrated ..

you can also hard reset by pressing and holding the "- " keys with the power button after shutting down . It will revert back the same Rom from the gost image ... but not for more .. mean while you can open mobile synch and flash the rom ..

hi. thnxx again for a new release. will try it and give u the feedback. i m currently using fusion5.03. its indeed fast, stable and good, but themes r not working correctly, while using bluetooth it show infrared option, system sometimes hangs too, mapping 5 harware buttons instead of four.

fusion 5.03 takes a lot of time while reset, about 2min to restart.
taskmanager list.exe not working.
themes goes wiered.
5 hardware mapping buttons.
where did the infra red port came from.

lomlom i downloaded this 27/06/2008 update. Yesterday download this ROM & updated in my HTC P3400 [Gene]. But SDHC card not working. Please fix this problem the next Update Gene. Good luck!!!

hey LOMLOM. how r u dude? its very gud to have another new releases. i tried both of the releases, i.e. fusion5 & 6. but bro, speaking the truth, these r useless. they both r slow, have syncronisation prob, messaging errors, contacts doesnt get updated, cant restore backup, takes lot of time in rebooting and starting, system volume is also low, bluetoth now working correctly, problem in hardware keys(buttons) mapping....

yup. same problem. battery backup is very less. it last only for 8 hrs.

After upgrading fusion 6 , i noticed a bad impact on battery backup.
The battery lasts for 7-8 hrs.and after downgrading to any other ROm
it is still facing backup Problems.


I think The Fusion 6 is a Monster for out batteries.


Be aware of it.

LOMLOM do something for this problem.ans suggest any specific reason for it.

DOT NET 3.5 is not active in this rom ..check it nd activate it by reg method ..it may also effect ur battery nd increase it :)

and one can easily see the reducing perscentage in Power setting.(Realtime)

and even after switching to any other rom,the problem persists there.
I got my software and Battery replaced from HTC service centre and they told not to upgrade ur rom..:(:(

But i again upgrade to 6.1 19209 built now it is normal now.:):)

I tried 2 flash my HTC 3400i with lomlom's "20226wwe fusion 6.02" ROM after doing gene_hspl and changed the SPL to 1.10.Olip

But once the flashing gets started from the RUU i get an error as shown in the pic below

when the cable is connected in the boot loader mode the screen shows 'USB' in the bottom & the verification process in the RUU is done smoothly.....
