How can I change the "Incoming" call screen? Because the standard looks ugly... und it's hard to use with the fingers...

I'm totally agree with you, I use Pointui and all the interface is made for finger navigation, but when there's an incoming call it looks ugly like you said, it doesn't fit with Pointui. Surprising that nobody thought about It.

Use S2U2 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=353008) :D

I would also really like to be able to change the incoming call notification. A big nice answer / reject screen that covers the whole of the screen would have been really nice.

When you think about it - it's quite a basic skinning request.

Then again - M@#$soft is real rubbish and they can miss the most obvious things in everything they do.

that is a good concept, can any developer design that caller notification for qvga devices????

Is there a solution that doesn't require me to change anything else, only the incoming call screen?

S2U2 is nice, but I don't want the app to be my main page, I don't need the lock feature, want to keep my device as it is, only have a nicer and bigger incoming call screen.

InesoftAddressBook: same problem. I don't want to change my contacts manager...

You can disable the Lock part of S2U2, and leave it as just a CID program...

i made this one for the inesoft caller id.

If anyone can work out how to disable the default CID screen, I can make a replacement. (In fact, I have a replacement, it just gets interupted...)

That would be great if you can do that. I've been looking for years to find a small app just to do a full screen CID...

I was working on a CID too and I need to check if I was able to surpress it. I stopped working on this a long time ago.

+1 With inesoft AdressBook, you'll change your incoming call interface.
Try it and you'll keep it.

Inesoft Address Book skins the dialer with an easy to use finger-friendly incoming call screen.

My current idea is a small piece of software that's memory resident, and pops up when it gets notified of an incoming call.

Using the .NET CF, that part's not hard, and the pick up/reject is easy to do via virtual keystrokes, but so far, I haven't found a way to stop WM showing it's own CID screen...

The main reason I have for this is for FSD (my dialer), but if it can be done, I'll release a stand alone CID program.

S2U2 will not be your main page. If you choose not to lock your device in S2U2 settings then only time you'll ever see it is when someone calls you.

S2U2 does not suppress the screen. it still pops up but the S2U2 app just covers it. If you call your phone when its low on memory enough times you will see the smaller WM box start to form and then quickly gets covered by the S2U2 full screen application. So I would not be too concerned with removing the WM caller id notification. If you app is fast enough it will cover it up just like S2U2.

I've never noticed that!

I'll whip up a beta version for testing, with no fancy GUI stuff, but enough functionality to test...

It will be nice to keep it simple and just use it for the CID. Something that looks just as good as the S2U2 Full Screen CID that uses up less memory. I only use the S2U2 application for the CID function.

Thanks...

Hi

I've been looking for a solution to this problem for a long time now. In MSDN forum you can find some solutions (move it out of the screen by changing the window X&Y position, paste a new screen on it and so on) but I'm not that expert in programming so I couldn't figure it out.

You can kill it (with Vijay555 task killer) but it will create a lot of other problems.

Oh, it would be great to see a simple solution.

Here is an idea:
Maybe A_C will tip us on this issue – P L E A S E

As someone has already pointed out, A_Cs CID covers up the original... By making the CID screen temporarily the top most item, it may be possible to prevent this...

It's possible to skin the CID screen as many dialers already do it. Check out this dialer, the setup.xml will give you the file names that you need.

i wish there was a way to change the incoming number and name ... it shows up on my pictures.. i cannot read sometime.s.. s2u2 .. would like to change color or change the position of the picture

what is the best size pic to use with s2u for inbound callerid so it doesnt conflict with name and number on top of screen
