This is pretty cool. Few gentle suggestions.

1) What about addinig S2U2, Pocket CM (both contacts and keyboard and i like this as default contacts) HTC audio Manager, HTC Album, HTC Camera with the same cool blue-black skins?
2) In the dialpad, is it possible to project the numbers out? Like with a shadow around the numbers? currently it looks flat. Same for the calculator.
3) Also, the vertical line in the dialpad, can it be bit lengthier like the very bottom one?
4) Is it possible to give the whole Windows 6.1 the blue background with white font? I dont know if that will look cool. Just a thought.
5) Can you add the working version of TCPMP player with the FLV plugin?
6) Other components whihc i feel are cool Thumcal, Opera mini, RSS, Weather watcher, BCR world card.

These are just my wishes. Your skin seriously rocks.

Could Blue be the New Black?
I sure hope so...

Not to sound ungrateful or anything, but I really dislike the all-black themes. I think they're terribly unattractive, but I've always liked black with some color, even if it's subtle. Blue happens to be my favorite color, and black/blue gradients are my favorite background styles, so obviously I totally love this look. I intend to mirror his ROMs on my site to show my appreciation. (I'd donate, but I'm dirt poor at the moment)

can you give us an idea of what your ROM is going to be like - soft/tweak-wise. ?

itje
4th April 2008, 07:49 PM
its just gonna be a basic clean and simple, no fancy stuff (besides my graphics ;-) )
I will put in AC so you guys can tweak as you want.

But after rom is out, I will put some cabs for the graphics only (or just the graphic files so u can replace as you want, I need to think about that)

But I really have not decided what to put in the rom, so im open to suggestions..

cheers

I completely agree with keeping it simple ... netcf & SQL CE Mobile/camera/office & one note/reg tweaks/ALL YOUR GREAT .TSK's :) then make it UC compliant and let us run with the rest

pretty much I really like how alex offers his lite rom as it gives the end user the option to have all the fun/bloat they want and nothing else. Looking forward to try out your rom! Any update on ETA?

thx guys, im overwhelmed by the sitive feedback.

the dialer will be with videodial, but I need to do some tweaking to the design, cause with videodial its slightly diffrent, but some hrs extra work.

there will be internetsharing, but I think I will leave such as office and ms live etc available as cabs.
It will also have UC
I will do some tweaks, but with advanced config and UC you can do alot of the tweaking you want by yourself, cause in my experience with rom releasing, ppl want diffrent tweaks and apps, some wants many apps some want less.

Okay here is the super short super simple cooking tip/hack that is great for Multiple APN's & being able to utilize BES, BIS, Blackberry Connect, AcvtiveSync, & your primary data connections (i.e. MediaNet, etc...) at the same time

There is a simple provisioning XML that makes registry changes related to the RIL settings. In your dumped ROM folders locate the "OEM" Folder & within the OEM folder locate OperatorPKG.

Within the OperatorPKG you will find this provisioning XML:
Code:

<wap-provisioningdoc>
<characteristic type="Registry">
<characteristic type="HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL">
<parm name="AGPSNVSetting" datatype="integer" value="6" />
<parm name="NIEnable" datatype="integer" value="1" />
</characteristic>
</characteristic>
</wap-provisioningdoc>

The registry setting we want to change via this provisioning XML is the "AGPSNVSetting" value.

*ALSO NOTE: THIS HAS TO BE COOKED IN, REG EDITS AFTER INSTALLING WILL NOT STICK

Change this value to "5" & you will have multi-apn's at least where bbc & primary data (medianet, etc.) are concerned. The final revised xml doc should now look like this:
Code:

<wap-provisioningdoc>
<characteristic type="Registry">
<characteristic type="HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL">
<parm name="AGPSNVSetting" datatype="integer" value="5" />
<parm name="NIEnable" datatype="integer" value="1" />
</characteristic>
</characteristic>
</wap-provisioningdoc>

I've also been playing with 4 as a setting & while it also allows ISP + BBC + MediaNet, (from time to time) it is still only works intermitently. The 5 value is solid as a rock though!

Make this change & your BBC ROM users will thank you as they will no longer have to Kill one data session to use the other!
