keyboard - AUTO suggest works freeking annoying

Okay,

so i am trying to type some messages example i type in " tty " and want to press space, but the freeking keyboard when i press space add the word

" ttyl8rt" which i dont want.

I go into settings. Input,, i take out suggest works when entering text

and it still does.

its like it can't keep settings.

or something wtf

Try do de following it worked for me.

go to input method and choose touch keyboard

settings

x9 setting's and disable all the possible marks

voila

done no more sugestions words

Many thank for your help,

I got the same issue and tried your solution with no success. I've done a soft reset after but no change. I still have the black ligne with suggested words when using keyboard, touch keyboard or Calligrapher Write Pad.

XT9 Settings are all unchecked.

This bug is really annoying has it prevents me from using Calligrapher SIP correctly...

Any other idea ?

Disable XT9
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Layouts\e0010409]
"Layout Text"="COMP IME"
"Ime File"="compime.dll"
"Keyboard Layout"="00000409"


You will need to soft-reset the device after the change.


For enable XT9
Default is this:

"Ime File"="\\windows\\eT9ime.dll"
"Layout Text"="eT9 IME"

actually htc posted a cab file to change the default input to ABC instead of XT9. it's meant for touch dual but i tried it on my cruise and it worked fine

CAB file didn't work for me...
LDemet: theres a cab file on Asus website that disables T9....

Works great on the 614C, thanks for that, the XT9 was driving me mad!!!!!!!

This cab file helps me alott... XT9 has been bugging me :mad:.. searched for 6 months to get this program (abc as default). I tried to download from HTC site once, but it change the function of the keypad to numbers only. I finally found what i really need...

This software works for my HP Ipaq 614c. Removes the annoying XT9 and makes abc as default. Fantastic Software. Thanks Man.

i actually love xt9 but since its not available in my language so I'm glad it's not set as default anymore. thx a lot.
