...it is done...look at the new HTC Diamond with Manilla (TouchFlo 3D).
IT HAS 3D ACCELERATION!

...now where are the test devices, the need one...!

Maybe so, but it's using the MSM7201A. Which is NOT what the kaiser is using. It may be a step in the right direction, but you shouldn't get your hopes up with that one.

Not to be a malcontent - but until I see XDA Dev member's youtube video of a non demo'ed HTC device with 3d-acceleration. I'm not believing a g*d damned thing. This good news/bad update thing is nto good for the psyche.

My two cents.

IF the diamond has 3d acceleration then it must not be complete, since all the rendering is still pretty slow, plus, there's no evidence at all that it does have 3d drivers, so until then, it's all rumors

comparing the speed at confernce with the speed of manila on Tytn II, it seems like it has 3d accel... also, HTC did say it will not provide drivers in current devices, but new devices will have them... remember... and since manila is all 3D, it would only seem correct to have the drivers... but then again is HTC... basically dont rush to get the diamond... :-/...

From HTCClassAction.org http://htcclassaction.org/#update_20080509_1

Update May 9, 2008: MS Mobiles reports a fix for the TyTN II may be available as soon as next week, and it will include graphics drivers. It will only be for non-branded devices and only for the TyTN II - not the other similar devices like the Touch Dual and Cruise. We are quite confident that if this is true, the hackers over at XDA-Developers, PPCGeeks, etc. will be able to port the fix to at least some other devices. At this time the news remains unconfirmed by any other source than MS Mobiles, and though it would be great if true, it is HTC we are talking about, and they are now legendary for promising one thing and delivering the other. There is nothing more to say than "we shall see".

Update May 10, 2008: All About Phones [Dutch] also reports they were told by HTC there will be a ROM update for the TyTN II. From the page (translated from Dutch to English):

Q (All About Phones): What about the driver/rom-update for the TyTN II and other pda's by HTC ?

A (Mark Moons, HTC): I can confirm we will release a ROM-update for the TyTN II this month which will solve and improve most issues. This will also be a 6.1 update so the TyTN II will be completely up to date. I cannot confirm this for other devices.

W00T!!!

Boeh, I hate HTC, why (probably) bring out an update for TyTN2 but not for the TC and TD, they really suck... hope, the devs inhere will be able to extract those drivers, this would be worth some euros to me...

I just read someone asked for users to dump their ROM and post it somewhere.

Can anyone give me a pointer to doc about how I can dump my original ROM?

Thanks in advance.

Hi all!

Well, I will be really very glad if somebody can help me...

The problem is that I can't reach NAND FLASH in my 6500 any more. It disappered in the file explorer. I made hard reset, then i used the standard HTC utility to get the NAND back, but no success!

Probably, i have to try to change the ROM?

The device is from Germany, ROM 1.10.407.3, Radio 1.58.21.23

And one more question: how to dump the ROM from my device? I want to do this before changing the ROM...
