In general do WM 6.1 cooked ROMs on this site contain all of the features that the official version announced today touts (i.e. browser enhancements, threaded SMS, et al)?
I have searched and seen what the variants include, but I don't see how they stack up the official feature set.
Also, I appreciate the effort of the real experts at XDA on behalf of simple enthusiasts like myself. That contrast is why I can't stand using my company issued BBerry.

If one reads the announce carefully, announced browser enhancements are for next release (not 6.1!), they don't have much to announce about 6.1 which seems to be a "really minor" release...and so they are trying to hide that by pre-announcing the real big thing for the beginning of 2009.

All that stuff is in the cooked Wm6.1 roms. I could've sworn that PIE was supposed to zoom in 6.1 but it doesn't.

Yes, it actually does...but is totally useless. not really zoom...just zoom out and zoom in
Start IE, goto Menu, click Zoom out...Not really to usefull

Try here for official site, not just press release. It's a lot nicer for the smartphone users than for us. :(

Hey, if you look at the guy in the banner of the MS official site, he is using a Palm Treo ... not quite sure about 6.1 update for Treo users !
