Ohohoh... I can't wait.. looks like this rom has a lot of good stuff..

I do like QuickMenu and Ultimate Launch... any chance these will be in there by default (if not I can integrate them)... Also looking forward to the driver fix if you can get that going...

I have been adding a few goodies of my own (apps) to the last rom you released.

What I am working on is my own custom personal use rom with all the best non-proprietary, internet available stuff from your roms, Alex's, Dutty's, Sleuth, and Schaps roms. Just getting into this, so I am still learning about setting the UC aspects for the auto install.

Let me tell you, I really really appreciate what you guys are doing. Just from starting out on my own, I see how complex and integrated this can be... I thought I had bricked my device when I tried to add in dutty's keyboard from his most recent rom... it wouldn't manually hard reset, so I left it on until the driver cert popped up and I was able to get it to hard reset. Turned out just to be a incompatible driver... but wow...

Just install the cab buddy on any rom for this simple fix. Rom sounds beautiful, please take your time before releasing and try to get some on the minor bugs fixed like the one you said your having with the htc home call log and such. So happy that tcpmp will be working on this rom since most of the new ones coming out are not compatable or chef didnt bother to fix or look into it. The last rom i know of with tcpmp working was dutty's march 08 rom which is great and very stable. If i wasn't such a flash junkie id probably settle down with the march08 rom, oh well. Thanks for all your hard work L26!!!

The real deal breaker for me is using the 1.65 radio. That things tears up my battery.

Wow this rom is awesome, I like those details like the start up melodie, the animation, the sliding sound etc. and the cube is just fantastic with this skin. Thanks man, Im testing the battery life now with battbench

edit: missinc icon in Settings->System (Keypad QuickTasks)
CallHistory.exe is also missing (needed for the cube), but I can put it on my own :)
The Airplane Mode Button in Comm Manager looks a little bit strange

So far, no other "bugs" are found

Things you need to know:

To enable the Cube go to: Start\Programs\Utilities\FTouchfloConfig tab general 'Enable FTouchFLO'

This should be:
Start\Programs\Utilities\Device Config\FTouchfloConfig

Great job on the ROM.

On the System tab in Settings there is an icon "Keypad QuickTasks". There is no picture just text. But it doesn't seem to do anything.

Sorry, didn't explain myself properly. Video Calling works fine in your ROM, but it doesn't work in the 209 build that I'm working on. You mention in your ROM's details that you've used the Video Calling files from the 202 build to get this to work. I'd love to do this too on my ROM, but I don't know what these files are - so I was hoping you could provide some guidance on which files I need to extract from 202 and put into my 209 build to get it to work.

I know it's cheeky to be asking for help and advice, but I'm a bit stuck and would REALLY appreciate any clues you could give to point me on the right path to fixing my ROM the same way you fixed yours.

Thanks. :)

UPDATED : sorry - ignore this, lockdown isnt running by default and can be configured using the following registry information : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=1795969&postcount=1

Is there a registry key to disable the default lock app included with this rom?

without unlocking the phone its difficult to identify if you have missed call or text messages as the sliding bar sits accross the htc home screen.

also noticed with the locker it sometimes underneath other applications that have focus at the time phone goes into standby

maybe i'm just a big fan of s2u2 :p

Me too! Absolutely baffled by this one. I've tried everything I can think of and my own personal ROM still isn't "VideoCall enabled" either.... It's virtually the last thing I need to do, and it's driving me mental!

Edit: Ok, if I copy all dll's from L's ROM into mine, I magically get TodayAgenda on my Screen... And a few other things go screwy - buy no matter 'cause Video Calling works now.

Sledgehammer to crack a nut, and I have no idea which one fixed it - so the job now is to narrow it down...

The real deal breaker for me is using the 1.65 radio. That things tears up my battery.

Yup... Another battery bomb. down to 56% at 10:18 AM and only unplugged it at 7:00 AM and there isn't anything on it yet other then this ROM.

Not sure either but I carry 2 batteries just in case. I'll switch over to the newer battery when this one dies and test again. And it's confirmed that this is the only radio that will work with the ROM right? I might have better luck with a Niki one if it will work.

It's a pitty radio is location depended :(

For me these two radio's are the best in signal and battery performance.

This will be a hard night for u to find it out. I wish u luck.Hope u find it.:o

Got them. For some reason it's a combination of three dll's. I'm sure someone else can explain why ('cause I can't), but it looks like when you change one, you have to change all three...

HTC3GVT.dll
HTC3GVTStack.dll
HTCMidCodec_Qvp.dll

Think the problem was that I only changed the first two when I put in a dialler package... Anyway, pulling those three dll's from this ROM (thanks Laurentius26!) and cooking it into my personal ROM has solved my Video Call problems. Must try and remember this for next time...

Oh, and I'm impressed with your ROM Laurentius, I only played with it for a bit while I was going through this whole process, but when I get bored of my own, I'll be giving your ROM's a proper try... Pretty similar contents to my own meagre efforts...

Thank you,

Nice finding, I did it a bit different.

I extracted RUU_Signed.nbh from the 202 and 209 build and dumped them.

I Used Bepe's Package tool on them to create the OEM and SYS dir.

I took the SYS dir from the 209 build and the OEM dir from the 202 build.

After that I used Misar's G'Reloc.exe to reloc the modules.

Viola... :D that's it ;)

Aside from the battery drainage I just wanted to say that this is the "FIRST" ROM I've used that does "NOT" have keyboard lag whatsoever. I didn't really read all the features page in great detail so I don't know if it was in the notes about it being fixed or not but I've tried every other ROM that brags that it's fixed and it never is but this one is flawless and the Tilt keyboard fix did work on this one.

Been playing with this rom since morning, so far no lag at all, great work! Gsm and 3G signals are ok, but not better than the one with your last rom, tomtom works fine and get location fix really fast. I had keyboard fix and Chinese input conflict, but that is not the problem of the rom, and I get the problem fixed anyway.

Wondeful work you have done, Leo!

Sounds very exciting! I cannot wait to try her out. You mentioned that video call works and it's an ATT ROM. Does this mean that the rear facing camer ATT version of the Kaiser will be able to use Video Call?

No one really answered the question about the video call working on the rear facing camera Kaiser. Are there any Kaiser owners that have downloaded and flashed was about to make a video call? Because as far as making a video call I thought at Att hadn't made it available in there network?

Laurentius26

This is a Hybrid ROM,

I combined the ATT 209 build with the HTC Kaiser 202 build.

Videocall drivers are from the 202 build.

That's why Videocall works ;)

Videocall always uses the front camera.

Not allways, default camera is the front one, but when I make videocall I can switch to the rear and go back to the front one, that is available in all 3G phones when they have front and rear camera.

Hi all,

When I load goodlink (5.0.3.25) on this rom goodlink will prevent any programs from launching.
Interestingly enough the 'Settings' can still be launced so it is possible to uninstall goodlink at which point it is again possible to launch programs.

I see that dutty's 6.1 rom is reported as working with goodlink 5.0.3.25.
Any clues as to what may be the difference?

if you're going to make version #2 ... either leave it out altogether or cook in the latest version please !!!

best would be to leave it out ... since we might need to upgrade the version later on when youtube & other sites decide to change their protocol ;)
( the creator of the Flashvideobundle did just that when older version wouldn't work due to youtube changed their protocol )

In USA ATT 3G network, I have not found a ROM yet that works for video calling. Our ATT Tilts only have the rear camera. We DO NOT have one above the LCD.

I just tried this rom and it fails also. Aside from the contact manager that dutty uses (scroll with alphabet on the side), I love this rom. Thanks for the hard work!

I don't have an idea why this video calling isn't working. Anyone have any ideas? I'll be able to try ideas if you have them.

I've found a couple issues with this ROM, first, new e-mails don't show on screen notifications, nor vibrate/play sound. Second, A-GPS makes the GPS not work at all; if you disable it, GPS works great. I notice that when you close an application, the screen gets all distorted for about a second, then fixes itself. Finally, this radio, and it seems ANY 6.1 radio, doesn't seem to work too well on AT&T in the Bay Area (San Francisco).

No matter where I am, I get only 1-2 bars. I've tried multiple Radio ROMs, including the Niki, and Polaris ones, and now the Radio included in this ROM, just 2 bars constant, and occasionally going to 3-4 for about a minute, then back down. I'm not sure if it's my Tilt in general, or if it's the 6.1 radios overall, but my reception is just terrible here. Overall, GREAT ROM, thank you :)

Load up from Original to this ROM, also tried from HTC original to this ROM and everything is good, except after Voice Command is installed. Everything works except with I click Start;Settings, it locks up as soon as I click Settings. LED's blink, Activesync works for a short period, then disconnects, ROM just locks with the Start Menu still hanging there. I'm unable to hold down the power button and do a hard reset/power off.

If I reboot by removing battery, most things seem to work, I've tested almost every single function besides accessing "Settings"(And most things from within Settings) from the Start menu, it all works great, including calls, BT, I just kept going, then I click Settings again, and get the same result, as far as icons within settings, I found some of them manually and the properties work and adjust fine, it's just when clicking the menu item Settings. /confuses me

This time around, I rebooted (remove/install bat) let it sync with AS and un-installed MVC and did a soft-reset, everything is back to normal.

Any suggestions or pointers on where to begin? I've tried some reading, but I'm not seeing this specific problem. I'm willing to go back default and start again however many times it takes, but I really like this ROM setup and not having MVC would be the deciding factor for me.

hey guys, I've never posted here before but I wanted to say that I love this rom! Thank you very much for making it :)

I do have a problem tho, I noticed that now when I take videos with the camera, no matter what encoder I use all videos only have audio, the video is nothing but a grey picture. Does anyone else have this problem? idk how to fix it :(

Thanks in advance!

Mine is working fine. Try to reflash the rom again.

Currently I'm playing with Voice Command.

I managed to make it run, but I'm still playing with it and trying to adjust so that you have a hardware button to execute Voice Command.

Also I still need to test how it respond with a wireless stereo headset.

Ok, I've loaded this ROM three times now and I'm having an issue with M$ Voice Command. Is anyone having an issue with M$ Voice Command ?

I having an odd issue with v.4 of your other ROM. I installed, then later unistalled SPB Mobile Shell, and now when I boot the phone up the signal will come in, and out, and in and out (signal indicator will show signal, then nothing, then signal again, then nothing over and over), it does this for almost a minute before it finally locks and stays with a signal. It only does this when booting up, and it's fine afterwards, any ideas what could be causing it? Could the SPB Mobile Shell have screwed something up in the registry, and a hard reset is in order? Thanks Leo!

Update-I fixed it, I just did a hard reset. I am sure now it was something to do with SPB Mobile Shell, I know that's one program I will be avoiding now.

Flashing roms is getting interesting and exciting due to the wonderful creations by people like u
laurentius.

I had flashed my kaiser with Kaiser-S4V.19209.01
It is indeed smooth fast and generally no hiccups to date even though I restore all my applications through sprite which were installed under a previous rom save and except

1.network connection error-overcome by installing network wizard
2. the dialpad is white ie no digits can be seen-overcome it by installing the iphone dialpad.

I am generally very happy with it.After installing many applications/programs I still had ample rom and ram for multi-tasking to run efficiently and fast.

I just installed the slcpc cube uno v1.62 however the down-up motion cannot activate the cube.I had to activate it through hot-button or hard button.

How would this rom Kaiser-S4V.19209.01 compare with(in particular the total/usable storage and total/usable ram immediately after flashing)

1. udk v8.0 r2 vega
2. L26_WM6.1_PRO_V1_Hybrid (Based on the ATT 209 build)

Has anyone tried all these 3 roms and what are your experience and comments

Hi,

Why do you install another Cube if Slither's c++ is already included in rom?

Sprite will come back in my V2.

I'm not aware of a networkwizard error, the wizard runs ok here.

Also no problem with the dialpad here

Hi Leo,
Once again, excelent work, very nice rom. Nice Apps, stable, very good battery life, GPS fix quickly (new radio performs quite well), no issues with medical soft and other apps...
Is just not as fast as Dutty's... maybe we can expect some speed improvements in V2...

When can we expect your V2?
what are the main differences to the V1?
Have you consider add randomacess?

By the way, I tried to make a donation but paypal is with problems, I don't know if it is a problem with your account or with paypal itself... anyway, i'll try again tomorrow...

Hi,

Thank you for the donation. :)

My plans for V2:

Because Coreplayer 2.2 has support for Flashvideo now, I like to remove the TCPMP and Flashvideobundle so that people can choose there own player.

Currently I'm playing with MS Voice Command, maybe I will add it.

In V1 I used two builds 202/209 (Hybrid), my V2 will be whole 209 build, because of that the speed will improve!

A date I don't have yet, but it won't take so long anymore!

Regards,

Leo ;)

Do you use the radio 1.65.14.06 which is included in this ROM?

Not all cabs will install, it depends if they are WM6.1 compatible.

Quickmenu I won't add.

If you have the codecs you are missing, can you upload the please or at least tell me which codecs?

Thanks,

Leo

One of the most important reasons I want to add Voice Command is incomming call anouncements over my BT stereo headset.

If more people don't like the Voice command I will leave it out, but in the 209 build it's default future! I noticed the PTT button is intervering with it that's why it wouldn't run. Now that I removed the PTT functionality VC runs fine.

Cheers,

Leo :)

Hi Leo. I'm sure you've already got this covered, but I had to make a small amendment to the standard 19209 .rgu files to get Voice Command triggering when the bluetooth button is pressed.
Amend the entry in \hkey_local_machine\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\A udioGateway\BTAGExtModule to read vcbthag.dll

If it's working fine on Activesync, but not wirelessly, then it sounds like a problem with your internet connection. Which network are you on? (Just wondering if they use a proxy or if there are any other hints/tips someone on the same network can provide).

Good luck.

Yeah I thought about that..
But I can surf the web just fine, or are they unrelated?

Oh and I just remembered when it asks for your login credentials for windows live setup, it gives a message when I input the wrong password, so if i can take a leap on this:p, its actually verifying the credentials with hotmail?

Thanks for your efforts at all those "delicious cookings" i want to point out that the rom before this appear more stable than this new one as there are some issues i have noticed, need to add that WOW SD doesnt work on this rom except maybe on the TILT for other variants it does have an issue here.

Am sure the kitchen is running for a new variant to take care of all the issues raised here.

Hi, so I just started using the ROM yesterday and I ran into two problems. Maybe someone can help me debug it.

1) Everytime I turn off my phone or soft reset my phone, my favorite people disappear.

2) My phone speaker does not work anymore... that is, my phone does not ring, nor does it play music through the speaker. The sound works alright when I pair it to my Bluetooth headset, but without my Bluetooth, my phone is mute. I can dial calls from my phone, its just the back speaker doesn't work.

Any suggestions?

After hiding the window (OK button) and switching back it becomes responsive again.

This is the only issue I noticed so far with this ROM but annoying for hard core opera mini users like me :))

My config: HTC Home enabled on today screen, one of the quick launchers pointed to Java VM (the one supplied by you).
Battery Status task manager is enabled.

Steps to reproduce incorrect behavior:

1. Launch Java VM, start Opera mini 4.1, do whatever you want
2. Press hardware OK button
3. Start Java VM again from HTC Home launcher -

Problem:
Opera Mini 4.1 shows the last page visited but does not react to taps or hardware buttons except OK button to hide the Java

I suspect JBed 2008.02 more than anything else. Disabling task manager does not help.
What is really interesting: Opera Mini 4.1 unlocks itself after 10-60 seconds.

It's 100% JBed version, installed older version (200708) and now works perfectly.

Take your time, no hurry! I'm pretty satisfy with your V1. And BTW, does the p6500 video driver work with kaiser? You said you were playing with that. I don't seem to see much improvment in video play in the V1.

i see that this is set at a 32mb pagepool...is this a true 32mb pagepool?

is the one in V2 goin to be a true pagepool?

anyways will still flash to this after my finals and compare and wait for V2 to come out! :) take ur time ;)

Heya Leo...

Just got around to installing this rom and so far so good, BUT (you knew that was coming, didn't you? ;)) I'm still having problems with the missed call button. I know that it's on the first post saying that you're looking into it, but I just wanted to check that it was the same problem that you knew about...?

When I press the Missed Call button on the HTC Home Plugin it takes me to the Call History page which takes a few seconds to come up. Then when it does load up, it isn't on the Missed Call page and it's always in Portrait rather than landscape, even if I have the keyboard slid out. After I've checked my missed call, the screen doesn't revert back to Landscape, I have to close and re-slide out the keyboard to get the screen the right way round.

Is this the problem that you were aware of? I had the same problem with your old rom too...

Thanks for the rom anyway and sorry to moan, but it's the only bug that I've found so far...

xx

Hi, I didn't see you for a long time!

Yes that's the problem I'm aware of.
Still no solution for that one :(

I'm thinking about to change the dialer.

Thanks,

Leo

Laurentius26, I like the keyboard skin you use in your rom. Is there a chance you could post the file along with the sliding sounds you use?

Edit: I found it! You posted the link a while back :) http://www.buzzdev.net/downloads.php?category=13
By the way... I loved your rom but Skype does not work. If this gets resolved I'll be back to your rom in a heart beat ;)

Dear Leo,

I finally got my KaiSer in mid-April. The first thing I did was to try your lovely ROM. You are right that:

Well one thing to comfort you ... at the time you have your Kaiser my experience with it will be ultimate :D

Haha!

How true!

No doubt you are one of the finest ROM builder. And, again you have outdone yourself!

Though with the ROM, I encountered a problem. Could not install the Imaginet Arabizer. So had to change ROM. About a week ago, tried the TNT ROM by (its right). The ROM had the same problem that it wouldn't install the Imaginet Arabizer. Though, (its right) being an Arab, he had a solution to install the Informobility Arabizer.

Tonight, I again flashed your beautiful ROM and with the Informobility Arabizer, it is working flawlessly. However, it looks like that I have to flash again tomorrow as the V2 of your ROM is imminent!

Happily, looking forward to it.

Cheers mate,

KOR! :)

Ok I will take this one out before I release ;)

Choices our good, but I would request leaving MSVC in the ROM, at least as a variant. MSVC performs more reliably when set up right, within the ROM.
