It was just mentioned in the release from Microsoft about 6.1 yesterday (CNET, etc). However, that doesn't mean it is coming anytime soon.

Actually, it's scheduled to be released VERY soon. The US touch dual will be shipping with WM6.1 supposedly within a month, so we might not even have to wait for a device specific rom, there will be 100 cooked ones available by the time that happens!

I think nobody knows that yet, I hope the final release have some REAL improvements in its interface because the standard version has real improvements compared to the Professional version.

No, in researching MSFT's site (and hearing from someone who is at CTIA) it's exactly the same as the WWE stock and NoThrills roms we have now. The AT&T WM6.1 test rom (3.14) & VodaFone rom (3.07 i think) is mostly what we can expect from carrier specific roms as well.

I don't understand you guys we already have AT-T's WM6.1 rom and its nothing to really brag about. WM6.1 has been around for a very long time. we won't see anything good until WM7 hits the streets and trust me that's not that far off :)
