View Full Version : Himalaya - TT6 - Navman ext. GPS COM-port problem after upgrade from WM2003 to WM2005

I've just recieved a HTC Himalaya which was running WM2003 coupled with an external NAVMAN "ONE" Bluetooth GPS unit. Everything works fine when running WM2003, the GPS is set up and is set to (COM7) by default and registers in the TT6 GPS config fine.

After flashing to WM2005 using the "Hima Helmi WM5 SP3 (XOJ Edition)" located here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=343058), the NAVMAN will pair to the GPS as usual, but won't have a COM port automatically selected. After selecting an outgoing port (I think COM0,4,5,9 work without giving an error about being unable to create) and leaving the manage gps connection automatically checked, setting the baud rate, etc, I set the intermediate GPS port that WM2005 suggests to COM6.

After starting TOMTOM6 from SD-card, and setting up the GPS config to the right baud on "BT on COM6", the GPS will not connect with the Himalaya.

The same happens on WM2006.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

This is the closest link i could find:

Help much appreciated!

Basically, When running on WM2005 or WM2006, the bluetooth com-port will not appear in TT6.

It all works fine on WM2003.

Any ideas?
