Cons:

Try cooking a rom for it! Better yet, try syncing with an Exchange server, writing software for it, overclocking, adding cool today screen plugins, etc.

Pros:

The 'Cool' factor, faster processor, easy to use UI, ummm.... I got nothin else

nice, BUT why have a cooked rom if their isnt problems with the standard rom itself? and what really sparked my attention is that in the next i think month exchange WILL be avaliable for the iphone. and as for overclocking...why overclock if the phone isnt slow in the first place?

i do agree with you on the homescreen tho. i think the iphone can improve on that

I stick with his ups and downs.

But if i were you, i'd buy the iPhone and keep the Wing.

The iPhone is just a gadget as far as i see it, but still i love HTC and windows mobile.
Im not to familiar to MAC OS. Never even controlled it with own hands
Although the iPhone, it has some goofing features like for example the UI and motion gestures, but other then that...

This is my point of view of the iPhone. Just keep your Wing and buy an iPhone seperatly.

i think the wing is never an iphone cuase on the iphone everything woks well together and if you jailbreak the iphone there are mch possibilities to customice your iphone
itīs not wrong that the wing is a very nice smartphone but it will never bee like the iphone

Your question is like asking "Chicken or Ice Cream?" It depends on what you need it for.

lol true, and windows phones are for IT people who need to usually find out why their phone messes up all the time.

The IPhone are for people who want something to show off to other people. It may be more user friendly than WinMo but is also hindered by its closed OS and lack of free/low cost applications.

If you have an IPod and have an account with I-tunes this question should be a no brainer as you have have one device with all your stuff.

If you don't have these items and like to modify things then the Wing would definitely be a better option as it would also be cheaper if you by it with a contract.

Iphone Pros: Larger screen, faster processor, a more eye pleasing UI.

Iphone cons: no true keyboard, lack of software. no MMS, no expandability, battery cannot be easily replaced.

Wing pros: Qwerty keyboard, highly customizable UI, cheaper, expandible, Battery, just about everything you can do on a PC can be done on the Wing. (edit office docs, remote desktop etc...)

Wing cons: slow processor without overlocking, OEM OS sucks!,

I myself am content with my wing, especially with open touch's modded os's. Only thing I wish they would have would be higher res screen 640x480 baby!, fast processor of course (intel atom would really be nice), and 3G. now if Apple comes out with this at a fair price I might have to jump that boat and swim over to the dark side....

I have about 1000 contacts on my Wing. One major advantage of the WM mobile 6 is I can partially search for a contact. For example, I need to find the # for a cafe, but I can't remember the full name of it, so I just type "cafe", and all the contacts with the word "cafe" will show up, then I can find the one I want. This is a function that cannot be done by iphone.
This is very useful to me because I have over 1000 contacts on my phone, and I can't always remember how each one is stored on the phone.

I think the I phone is a cool device. Partially due to the faster processor. If the wing had the same processor then....... There might not be a I phone comparison. it is like the Prada Sneaker......i just rather the Air force ones

I would have switched a long time ago if the iPhone had A2DP and Skype.

Unfortunately, it has neither of those, nor can it pretty much do anything useful over bluetooth other than work with a mono headset. Copy paste isn't a deal breaker for me, but still...why not just implement it already???

There are plenty of posts on XDA about this, but at the end of the day the iPhone is best if you use your windows mobile phone at say 35% of its potential. That is, you listen to music, browse the web, and make some phone calls. If you are a power user, the iPhone will never cut it for you. A power user might want to tether, edit office docs, connect a bluetooth keyboard or wireless headphones, or make an international call on Skype.

Install a true sat nav solution with voice guidance and turn by turn directions on it.
Record video.
Take notes and sync them between your desktop computer and the handheld device.
Use it one-handed.
Copy&Paste.

my wing is beat up, scratched, faded, has a weird contour to the screen. oh but the functionality. it does everything an iphone can do. and that is the comparison. think about it? the little chicken wing does everything the iphone can do, and more. thats the comparison. and i already have the wing.
