You didnt looked around properly though. I typed in Threaded SMS and this was the first the search engine came up with.

thnx i know this, but its work not to 100% on my i780 :-(
so i like to test the addin from wm 6.1 ;)

Go to www.ppcsg.com . Pocket PC Phone. Samsung i780 part 6 I believe. On the first page is an index of all the tricks with links to a working sms threaded cab. Personally, not worth the hassle.

6.1 should be released in 4 weeks apprx.
