Has anyone else noticed this?
My internet speed goes from 1/5 to 1/3 of what it used to be, and the latency is also worse (I tested)...
And my signal is awful/nonexistent in places where it was fine with the Rogers WM6 ROM...

Is there anything I can do? Or should I just wait for the TMo WM6.1 ROM? When's that coming?

you guys don't have to be such @$$holes about it... geez

listen guy, all you need to do is wrap your mobile in heavy duty aluminum foil (note: it must be heavy duty or it will not work) and place in your icebox for 60-72 hours...

after that you will be good to go!

When I first got my S621 from Rogers last May with WM5 on it the phone was great, hardly ever had to reboot it for anything. I have had nothing but problems after I upgrade to Rogers 6.0 ROM. With full signal I would not be able to make calls and would first to try reset the phone service through comm manager, which would rarely work, but usually have to reboot the phone, at times often. Due to this problem I even had the phone replaced which did nothing. So far since I installed Ricky's V7 ROM I've had better battery life and have yet to reboot my phone due to not being able to make a call.

In short, I don't see an issue with the Radio or the ROM.

he has everyone right to be an @sshole. how about before you go and say that rickys rom or radio sucks, you ask around first. maybe you are just a moron and its user error? the dude busts his ass to make us cool shit for our phones and you start a thread like this? i wouldnt, nor will i, help you at all. learn some people skills. all i can picture is a 7 year old whining "whaaaaaaaaaa ricky's rom sucks! whhhhhhh"

GO MAKE YOUR OWN THEN.

OK look you can look for Mikey1022 posts, look at his sig--see the mediafire link at the bottom--click on that --click on ROMS-you can see all the radios that have been posted recently. Download a couple of them and see what happens, if the old radio works for you then your good and dandy--or as they say in New England, NOW YOUR ALL SET ASS. Hows that for one liners?
Heres the link

how about this, GO READ THE THREAD ABOUT MAKING YOUR OWN ROM. infact, i believe ricky wrote it. you might want to steer clear because hes the one that made the horrible rom you are running.

dude, you are useless.

Dudes - you all get this too personally. ;)
Relax.
Some guy think all we are some service, and ricky and kavana makes roms becouse they must to do it.
I don't like this situation too, coz thats may give cookers good reason to stop doing what they doing, and grim will be happy to use original T-mobile WM6.0 buggy & slow ROM without any chance to Flash another rom.

End of story I think.

the guy went about it in the wrong way cuz it's NOT ricky's fault and ricky rocks (so does kavana) for cooking these killer roms for us... but i have to admit that i'm not super please with the radio either.

however, it's NOT that ricky did anything. maybe my standards are just too high, but i've not been super please with ANY radio in ANY rom yet to date (official or cooked). LOL. i don't use data... but i have dropped call issues from time to time and other strange things happen as well (like i'll dial a number and it'll try to dial but fail). these things happen more often than with some of the other phones i've had. the trade off for the functions of the phone are worth it for me... but i can be frustrating at times.

the short answer though is that the radio with ricky's is just as good if not better than any of the other radio's out there (that i've tried)... so you just need to learn to live with it, or you need to get a different phone.

jmho of course.

I actually read the whole thread, and have several disassembled roms right now...

If you will all please notice that I didn't say that Ricky sucked, or that his rom did in general. If that was so, I probably wouldn't be using it.

But just by pointing out that the radio was not working well, and thus restating something that I believe is commonly said in the release thread, I don't think I deserve a flaming.

And about my one-liners comment: I stand by it. There are many people who have replied to this thread with nothing helpful for its original questions. That happens on forums quite a bit, especially when you have 50 people trolling the same subsection.

Now, will someone tell me where radio is stored on the rom, so I can replace it with the Roger's one. Here? 03_GSM.nb I found radio.dll too...

Unzip the files and copy the RUU Rogers radio in the flash tool.
First run Excalibur USPL- CID BYPASS and after Flash tool and you have your Rogers radio back in the rom you want.

First unlock your phone.

Good luck

Is there a consensus on the "best" radio to run on the Dash? I'm still running stock (I think) Radio Version 4.1.13.34_02.79.90, and it's been /ok/, but not great.

Any suggestions on the best radio out there?

Well, it appears I am right, so a big fu to all the flamers.
Ricky, you might want to consider putting this in your rom.

Idiot's Guide:

Go grab the files from jhw099's post.

Extract them all.

Unlock your phone with SDA App Unlock.

Restart and take out memory card.

Run Uspl.bat inside of Excalibur USPL- CID BYPASS, and press enter through all steps.

Stick the file from RUU_signed_Rogers_Radio.zip into the folder with the contents of Flash tool.zip, and run ROMUpdateUtility.exe.

Phone will restart, you're done.
