Could you please reload unlock_htc.rar; it might just work for my htc touch hd. I'm afraid that the given links don't work properly any longer; de downloaded rar is about 12 Kb( should be app 1,2 Mb), and doesn't open either on pc or pda.

I guess I'll be the first to ask... has anyone used this on a G4 Wizard?
I am currently HardSPL, but if I could truly unlock I could possibly get more adventurous with ROMs.

Returned my phone to original ROM which removed the settings of this sequence. I ran this sequence again. Checked with Wizard service tool, but it still said it is CID locked.
Ran ROMUpdateUtility_Wizard_NoID.exe with Hornet M2D and the ROM installed.
Now the BAD news. After it got to 100%, it sat there a long time. Finally it said congratulations installed new ROM, but then jumped to bootloader screen. I pulled the battery and restarted the phone, but it went back to bootloader.
I went back to original ROM.

the rapidshare link worked for me.
get 5 folders with readme instructions except in folder 5 where u get HTC security manager.
not sure what it does.
waiting for my touch hd to arrive. it will most likely be sim locked to orange uk.
if so then will try and sim unlock using above method. will let u guys know.
i have also seen the artemis unlocker that changes the imei and has an unlock file.
Not sure if that unlock file is unique to the artemis. Could be another method of unlocking the touch hd.

It seems not working on HD, only way to unlock it has to buy the code...

managed to get all steps done...now my Blackstone HTC Touch HD phone is security off...

by the way, after the installation, u wont feel any different after or before u installed it, u may notice it whenever u try to install new application.

I have an Orange security locked Touch HD - followed the instructions and it worked fine - although it was a couple of weeks ago and I don't remember actually following step 5, and it seemed to work by the end of step 4. However, could install and run unsigned applications fine.

When unlocked you can install stuff like the unsigned 1.16 radio for the HD, but what do you mean it's different when you install an app?
