Hi,

I know all about search and know how to use it. Doing this favor for a friend and I need to install a rom on his qtek. Don't know much about it but I did change the IPL and SPL to 2.21.xxx1

Now I did try to install a wm6 rom, the SNN v2, but it asked me to upgrade my utilities. A search on the forum came negative. What did I do wrong and how can I rectify?

Are you sure its IPL/SPL 2.21.xxx1,if it is then its a G4 device, you cannot flash any wm6 rom onto it directly,it can only be upgraded through either 'SoftSPL' or 'HardSPL'. as it cannot be CID unlocked and its required to have a CID unlocked phone to upgrade to wm6 Rom.

Yes! your phone is a G3 device with ipl/spl 2.xx or 2.xx.xxx,it can be CID unlocked,but his phone is a G4 with ipl/spl 2.21.xxx1,it cannot be CID unlocked like your :D
