I was just looking for a little advice on how to move some of the items on the sliding panels.
All I want to do is change the order of them, instead of having Missed Calls - Voicemail - Text Messages - Email, I would rather have it as Text Messages - Email - Missed Calls - Voicemail.

What would I need to edit this? What file? Where?
Do I need any specific software or can it be done with something like notepad2?

Sorry, but it's not possible to do that with the current knowledge we have of the panels. Maybe later... who knows...

What about getting it to have dark text, or dark graphics? I would really love to be able to do something with some lighter homescreen backgrounds Im working on.

There is a black text option on the V13-14 ROMs

Ah! I saw TextBlack.scheme.xml in \Windows... does anyone know what the hook was to link it to sliding panel?

I Havnt Tested Rickys V9 And Below(but In Version10 For Sure)
In Your Settings-homescreen-color, You Can Select Black Or White Text, I Doubt This Changed The Start Bar Color But I Didnt Pay Attention... (also, Play Around With The Settings And Everything Else On The Phone...i Found Different Clock Options And Im Extremely Happy With This Version!)

Im on Ricky's v.4 at the moment, I was wondering what the technical method was of adding the black text, so I could preload it into a color scheme, appropriate to a given default wallpaper, button color, etc.

AH, I get it now. I had been meaning to flash when I convenienly frozed my phone. It adds the black (or, white) text to the last picked color scheme. Nice!

Okay, now how do I mod the panels to black, and the icons in the top left corner of each? any starting spot? I didnt find anything that looked like a good lead in the .cpl or the .home...

Thanks, gang.

for the order of items in the panel, this might be useful:

not sure if this is true for all but whenever I set the text on a theme to 000000 it comes out jagged so i would suggest using 222222 or 111111...dark enough and not jagged.

I'm tempted to make a new thread, but this so seems like the right place. I've got the text themes working. Very well. I now can make my home screen a dizzying mess!

I am sure there is a way to make the panels themselves dark. Is it in a .dll in \windows? I cannot get some of them to copy, like, all the onse I want to pick at. Not that I am sure that my skills with ResHack are up for it. Anyone else interested?

I've got your chomebar.zip, now i am trying to integrate it.

Ok, so somewhere a long time ago in this thread someone said that they cannot be modified.
I'm just wandering if someone can tell me why this is the case? Just quite interested as to what they are made of, my "limited" understanding of programming and such related subjects might be able to handle it....

what do you think of this

To make the panels themselves darker, you change the opacity values in the .cpr file :)

what are some values you used? 2.0? .5? and what makes it lighter or dark high or lower values?

what do you think of this

I want this:

(attached is 'shopped, but the point is... dark where it is white. But--I want control, so that this is picked for the right theme, not arbitrary. ...And, I want a million dollars and a pony. :)

(Unless it really is a matter of negative or fractional opacity to get the desired effect, in which case I am going to go stick my head in the sand.)

Just give me the barest inkling of where Chome gets its images to make the panels from. Quick, before you integrate it into your next ROM. ;)

just look in the cpr files in windows and you'll find it in the first of lines of the file :)
