Main reason for editing my old...... BSweather!! And of course the new BatteryStatus 295!!


Now you have weatherforecast for various cities on Todayscreen. (sorry wrong date on todayscreen)

I only want the actual weather to be shown... to see week just enable ROW weather... easily by D-Pad and when grey area is on clock press "left"!

For updating the weatherinfo just tap on weathericon.... It works with Gprs, Wifi or ActiveSync... You have to do it manually, becasue I don´t have unlimited data...

BTW - all Temeratures are shown in Celcius!! So nothing for my american friends! Hahahaha But it can be changed IF someone uses my rom!

Audio ..... AudioManager nothing more to say. Two thumbs up

Battery ..... So far seems very strong as running wifi , full back light, installing and un-installing, playing with UL and BatteryStatus. And also been messaging like crazy.

Blue-tooth ....... Has no draw backs as of yet using 3 blue-tooth units on it atm.

Calculator ........ Is working with no flaws. Guess this will be checked for now on as a few have asked on more than 1 occasion about it.

Camera ..... Sweet with the easy settings for storage as you open it the first time

Games ....... Well papa didn't add any folks so you have to do that part yourselves.

MMS ....... MMS .. YEAH !!!!!! Papa did it .. The MMS is awesome.

Phone Key Pad .... Its black like I like but for some reason i wanted more. Like almost a three "D" effect on the keys. Maybe a shine to them as well. The keys don't light-up or flash until several key presses later.

SMS ....... Another perfect out the box as we all knew before flashing.

Texting with Keyboard ...... The keypad letters all work fine but I needed duprades fix in order to see the symbols in the correct places. Glad he put that out there.

Voice Command ...... There isn't one added ... I have a few cabs will play with this tonight so I can update people on it as I received a few messages asking about it.

Wifi ....... Worked with out a flaw. Actually had a great connection speed from some other roms. All the flaws I saw in the beta are now gone with wifi .. Again papa did his thing.

Windows Media ...... Doesn't want to play much of anything but hey it doesn't bother me as papa added TCPMP 0.81RC1 Beta. Even though most content you have to play them once, stop it, close program and then restart the program and then the content plays perfectly.

****************** BUGS AND ISSUES ***********************

Ok with his last black rom and the beta the little keyboard icon on the bottom center pops up when you get messages and doesn't go away unless you enter a totally different screen and come back. He has fixed that little issue which shows papa is on point.

So if you want to complain about a rom remember if you don't speak up and tell the cook what you do and don't like then don't say anything at all. The cooks here are doing this out of appreciation , admiration and love of the art of cooking. If you think it is so easy then put out your own rom.

When going into settings or various different programs and you attempt to close them the comm-manager pops open. Or maybe a better way to explain is when closing various windows that window is also there to be closed.

When going to the start menu the today screen wont open from pressing today. I have to goto Start > Settings > Today in-order to use it on my phone. From the comm-manager screen the wifi settings wont open either.

Sometimes when programming Ultimate Launch the icons don't show perfectly for a hot second but thats was also present in the last rom so could be associated with UL.

Now remember I tested this on a t-mobile wing . A lot of these problems did not occur on the brief time I had with a tera. So if you have a different phone please post your findings.

The rom is impressive . Fast moving with the incredible improvements that papas created. Gives the old black rom a chance to rest now . Papa did it as I am totally pleased.

And of course I like the black ........ And for those who may not get the second splash screen I don't want to blow the surprise but the pun is on the word MOD v.s. "GOD" .....

I hope my review of this rom helps many in their questions as I tried to cover as much space as possible. If you feel something is missing please make a note of it so for future note my reviews will be as full as possible. And once again thanks to papa for allowing me to be on the beta testers team . I feel so special now.

And a note to zcink who also has been looking for a newer rom . Mate trust me you will want to test this one out . I believe that papa has gotten it correct. You wont be disappointed.

I haven't played with that yet so I wouldn't suggest playing with it unless you are experienced.

NEVER set "overclock after RESET!"

overclocking after wakeup is NO problem. when it is OC too hight. it will reset and then all is fine again. BUT NEVER set "after reset" then it will run iton bootloop....

and for showing the OC speed... just tap-hold on clock and set "show taskbar indicator"

Hi,

If an app is cooked into a rom, you can not uninstall it.
You can disable it if you don't want to use it.

I've tested this rom and it is very fast and stable.

Somehow Ultimate Launch and me cannot become friends. Somehow I don't quite understand this thing. I don't know if this posting is ultimate launch-spectific or if its a unusual behavior of this ROM, so please don't rip me apart, if this doesn't belong here.

On initinal installation of this ROM, the Ultimate Launch-Part of the Today-Screen shows a scrollbar on the right side of the screen. How the hell do I get rid of it? And why is it displayed? I can scroll down into some more empty space...wow,cool..but I don't really need it and I don't want it. I even can't seem to find any usable instuction manual for it on its homepage. Please help.

I can scroll down into some more empty space...wow,cool..but I don't really need it and I don't want it. I even can't seem to find any usable instuction manual for it on its homepage. Please help.

Thats isn't a rom issue . You just have 2 different today plugins showing at one time. But I did start a thread on all software problems with wm6 & 6.1

thanks for the reply. I couldn't find the PC tab under the connection as you said. but I did find the enable advanced network tab under the start-system-USB to PC tab which was already unchecked...

Have you tried trying to install from boot-loader mode or un-installing rebooting and re-installing active sync . Or just trying it with a different machine mate.

well actually I don't know what installing from boot-loader mode means! :D I did uninstall and reinstalled the active syc though... I can perfectly install other ROM like Open Touch etc but I don't know what happens here...

To enter boot-loader mode press and hold the camera button and then press the reset button with your stylus. Now when you see the multi color screen you can release your camera button . Thats boot-loader mode mate.

Dont give up mate ... We will still try this ... I am here for a while ... If responses get timely don't leave as I am also working ... But I will be here for about the next 8 or more hours. So lets hard reset the phone or just flash any clean rom and we will start from there.

I hope you don´t try to use spb-backup for restoring your setting... becuase that cannot work ;)

when you flash a new rom you have to instlal all again....

that it feels slower...mhh have you overclocked your device on the other rom.. so you should overclock mine as well....

Well mate you are using 1 of the better roms . And maybe its a bit sluggish getting use to the rom . I have seen that a few times with phones a few restarts and usage and you should be back in to the swing of things.

And as for explorer find a better browser I always say anyways. It should work better from your sd card so you dont lag the phone down with all that internet clutter.

BUT the scrollabr appears only IF you enable row3...

as you see on first screenshot.... the scrollbar disappears when only showing the day weather....

i deleted the batteryrow in my new bs and then the scrollbar is gone allways... btw when reducing UL to 190 it is also good.... and you can put more app links...

Papa, I've dutifully read all 12 pages of this thread and still see nobody else with my specific issue. This isn't the first rom I've loaded but I still consider myself a newbie at it.

My Wing updated correctly, HardSPL, etc., I used the FlashCenter.. put the PapaBlack in the RUU folder and it all seemed to go smoothly but when my wing restarted it just keeps showing the splash screen (how you're mod of Herald) and rebooting back to the Tmobile Screen... then splash, then tmobile, etc., I've let it cycle many times but it just keeps doing it.

Any advice? I'm off to try again now...

Audio ..... AudioManager nothing more to say. Two thumbs up

Battery ..... So far seems very strong as running wifi , full back light, installing and un-installing, playing with UL and BatteryStatus.
Also been messaging like crazy and had several phone calls.

Blue-tooth ....... Sweet as usual with papas roms as I click bluetooth I dont have to goto add new device it just grabs it and connects.
Has no draw backs as of yet using 3 blue-tooth units on it atm.

Calculator ........ Is working with no flaws. Guess this will be checked for now on as a few have asked on more than 1 occasion about it.

Camera ..... Sweet with the easy settings for storage as you open it the first time

Games ....... Well papa didn't add any folks so you have to do that part yourselves.

MMS ....... MMS .. YEAH !!!!!! Papa did it .. The MMS is awesome. Well I see 1 flaw . No audio will play I guess that may be contributed to the media player. Ok Now I need to remebr the regedit to hopefully make coreplayer read and play all the MMS video & audio.

Phone Key Pad .... Its black like I like but for some reason i wanted more. Like almost a three "D" effect on the keys. Maybe a shine to them as well. Same as in previous version
the keys don't light-up or flash until several key presses later. But now it takes less presses.

SMS ....... Another perfect out the box as we all knew before flashing.

Texting with Keyboard ...... The keypad letters all work fine but I needed duprades fix in order to see the symbols in the correct places. Glad he put that out there.

Voice Command ...... There isn't one added ... I have a few cabs will play with this tonight so I can update people on it as I received a few messages asking about it. Still need a better voice command cab

Wifi ....... Wifi is taking quiet a time to connect ... Very strange from papa ... It connects fine but doesnt get an ip ... Ok a few resets later and wifi is flawless . Maybe I installed too much before my first attempt to connect to wifi.

Windows Media ...... Doesn't want to play much of anything but hey I dont use it .

The little keyboard icon on the bottom center pops up when you get messages and doesn't go away unless you enter a totally different screen and come back. He has fixed that little issue which shows papa is on point.

So if you want to complain about a rom remember if you don't speak up and tell the cook what you do and don't like then don't say anything at all. The cooks here are doing this out of appreciation , admiration and love of the art of cooking. If you think it is so easy then put out your own rom.

When going into settings or various different programs and you attempt to close them the comm-manager pops open. Or maybe a better way to explain is when closing various windows that window is also there to be closed. He has fixed that problem as well.

When going to the start menu the today screen wont open from pressing today. I was incorrect about that error as I thought it was suppose to goto the today's settings not the today screen ... LOL . From the comm-manager screen the wifi settings wont open.

Sometimes when programming Ultimate Launch the icons don't show perfectly for a hot second but thats was also present in the last rom so could be associated with UL.

Now remember I tested this on a t-mobile wing . A lot of these problems may not occur on all phones. So if you have a different phone please post your findings.

The rom is impressive . Fast moving with the incredible improvements that papas created. I love the weather add on in the battery status. Very pretty and to think papa was playing with it I saw it and asked for it ... Well a little hint in the changing of the settings for your own city & state to change the readings from celcius change the word "metric" to the word "english". Cant tell you how to do much more as papa said to let you folks do a little thinking. And remember you never argue with the cook .. LOL

Gives the old black rom a chance to rest now . Papa did it as I am totally pleased. A more powerful rom for my phone........ Ok for your phones too .

And of course I love the black ........ Also what ever splash screen you have in your phone will stay there as papa didnt change it.

I hope my review of this rom helps many in their questions as I tried to cover as much space as possible. If you feel something is missing please make a note of it so for future note my reviews will be as full as possible. And once again thanks to papa for allowing me to be on the beta testers team . I feel so special now.

And a note to zcink who also has been looking for a newer rom . Mate trust me you will want to test this one out . I believe that papa has gotten it correct. You wont be disappointed. YES zcink I mean this one this isnt just a copy and paste from the last review.

first of all!!

assinge magicss to hardware button--like button 4 and you get screenshots

secound... jsut tap on batterysymbol and it is gone...

or take the newer version ... or just delete the row3 in default.xml...

or contact me to tell me what you wanted to say with this pic??

papamopps i found a damn fuc** bug... the conditions for the week are not shown correctly... only temperatures are changed.. am i right or didn´t anybody else realis this bug...

but the "ontap" for bsweaterinfo.exe was missing... and when i start it manually.... i get the netcf3.5 error.

Yes I have all suns but its sunny so it never dawned on me ... But funny thing is when you was creating this setup you said something about that.

I guess the images were disorganised AND a reg value was wrong in default.xml

working on it!!!!

I found out:
- conditions are registry relatet..
- all conditions are ok when checking registry
- BUT .png for the images are not in right order....
- OR the weatherforcast brings wrong registry values!!!

- Now the clock is at right place
- The weathericon beside on the right is not such pixel viewing!
- AND the weekweather is updated correctly..



To update weather just tap on weathericon beside clock!

To find your citycode use www.weather.com and see what is provided in internetadressbar

e.g. Cologne = GMXX0018

Replace files in \windows\batterystatus\default\weather with this one in cond_big... just overwrite all!!!

I just downloaded this rom, and i notice that when i try to type the ? i get ) also my calender is not working. How can i fix this? I also recorded a video on my phone and when i try to view it it says " the source filter for this file could not be loaded. whats wrong? I also see that my side mic button and also my side messanging button dont work either.
