Hi All,

My trusty side kick finally died 2 days ago, i inadvertently crushed it under my knee! (see photo attached)

Is there any application that gives the user a graphical representation of the touch screen on a pc & allows interaction via mouse clicks instead of stylus? obviously this is when the xda is hooked up via usb.

if my imagination is running wild, can anyone please offer a solution to my problem? apparently i can't swap screens, cos the process will kill internal battery & i won't have data to back up when it goes dead.

please help.

PS> my xda has other problems like it takes some working to get contact for charge port/usb cradle.

thanx!

For starts, you can copy all PDA's content via the USB cable.
For averyone else, use daily backups :) (SPB backup works great!)

You've certainly gotten yourself into a pickle.
First of all, I agree with Sunny, why can't you get it via ActiveSync? You shouldn't need to do anything PDA-side to get it to link. Plug the xda into the cradle, and the cable into the computer, and voila! it should automatically find it and you can grab the files you need.

Another suggestion, maybe use Grab It, the invisible rom dumper. I have never used it myself, but have a look at the following link and see if it might help. It is a fairly extreme way to do it, but if all else fails...

Good luck

Thanks guys, will try & give feedback.

EDIT >> Jadel thanks a mill, just checked out the link & I think Buzz has the medicine to my sickness! Will let you know how it pans out.

sometimes the unit does not make contact with cradle to allow connection, but will give it a go!

thanks again.

PS> ordered a UBQ 501 as replacement, wifi + keypad - very convenient! unless someone tells me it's a crappy choice!
