You can try clean rom v1.1 or wm6.1 lite, it's wm6.1 with a new xip, increase the speed... a lot !

I jus flashed and it all seems to be workin well.

jus a quick tip before flashin guys.
if you have SD encryption on, turn it off before flashin to newer roms or you wont be able to use anythin that was on the SD.
or you could wait till encryption is workin again.

I flashed my e650 with this ROM 2 months ago and I’m really impressed.
On my Vox new ROM increased battery life over 50% (from 2 to 3 days)…no complains :)

Only thing that bothers me is that I cant send/receive MMS (they are moved to outbox only and wait there to expire, GPRS is off during the attempts).
-I took MMS settings (Orange PL) from HTC connection setup (they are ok).
-internet over GPRS/EDGE works perfect
-Modaco nodata has all connections enabled
-I searched web and this forum for fixes and haven’t found nothing

Althout MMS are not essential for me I would be grateful for any help.

Did you do the USPL?? That's the common mistake. It shows that error if you try to flash an unofficial ROM to a factory device!

This test rom (core 19700) is faster than v1.1 because of new 20262 XIP.
I searched this official 19700 core, but i don't found it, no official packages. I asked to Hikey if he have a link, but i haven't a response.

You have a v1.1 with a fast XIP 20202 on this forum here :

If you want the same rom than v1.1 with an increase speed, you can use it.
If you want to try a "test" rom (beta ?), you can use Mona Lisa with core 19700.
You can also try wm6.1 clean or neo rom.

This cooked roms are already unlocked.
If you flash with another cooked rom, you don't have to reflash upsl again before flash with another cooked rom.

Oh dear! I updated my standard rom to this on my Work's phone. Now it seems I cannot connect using GPRS to sync my Emails .. I guess all the settings will need putting back in manually! :(

The wizzard doesn't work for me because I'm with an MVNO the carrier is Vodafone UK but the contract is with BT Mobile. I've tried a few settings I found on the web but no go.

I'll hopefully be able to get them out of somone else's phone at work tomorrow!

So a note to anyone attempting this .. make a note of your data settings first!!

Ok got it working again now, can someone advise me of the following ....

Under WM 6.0 ... in Conn Manager .. "Enable Push Email"
Under WM 6.1 ... in Conn Manager .. "Data Connection"

Are they the same thing? Seems like my GPRS is pinned up all the time, which I'm pretty sure it wasn;t before, although having thought about it for Push-Email to work it would have to have a constant data connection. :s

Maybe i'm talking b0110x and just answered my own question, anyway if someone could confirm it for me that would be good!

Also took me a while to get my custom Diamond look home screen working, but worth the effort!

Oh and did I say ... "Thank You Very Much for the update!!" WOOP!

I'm gonna try that other rom this evening, seems this one has a couple of issues. Main problem for me is randomly the Wi-Fi turns its self on after a call. (No I'm not adjusting the volume and hitting the shortcut).

Anybody know how to change the start menu to list view, as the old reghack, seems to only work temporarily in WM6.1 before its reverted to a grid view through some other property.

I used this reg change in WM6.0 and it worked perfectly. But in 6.1 this trick only works if you do not open any folders in the start menu. Once you open a folder (say Office Mobile) then everything reverts back to grid view.

I think you have to set it for each folder. Search the registry for more entries of that kind!

I have just upgraded my HTC VOX S710 with this ROM.
I now have a slight problem.
On the Home Screen I appear to have two SMS Inboxes. When I receive a message it displays on the Homescreen but the SMS Inbox is empty.
Please can you help?
Otherwise the ROM is fantastic and I don't want to have to resort to downgrading.

I was trying to install the original 6.1 green skins, as I like the color better than the red. I downloaded the skins.rar file, and attempted to copy the files into my device \Windows folder, but it says I don't have permissions to do this. Any tips on how to do this?

Did you use Connection Setup in start menu? If yes go to Vodafone website, the necessary data should be somewhere (as it is on the German website)!

Maybe it's another app that's 'interfearing' (don't know how to write) with your bluetooth.

I had some problems with my roms, until i started experimenting with my installed software. Some apps where doing all the damage.

Im using the 6.1 interface now and it looks v v nice!!!!

One bug I found:
When I set calendar to "start in month view", it keeps on reverting to week-view when I open calendar. When I close the app and open anew, it shows month-view for half a second and then switches to week-view again.

Is there a way to retain month view??

Vox with Dr Gonzo's wm6.1 v1.1

I have the same problem. I flashed this rom on 2 compleetely different voxes and they both vibrate and I cannot find any pattern that causes it. They just sometime vibrate and sometime not, time to time they vibrate every 5 minutes, sometimes just few times a day. Both the phones have different age. The vibration started before any SW was installed and I just cannot racall any action that might have caused that. First of all I thought it might have to do something with alarm, but the second phone does it too without ever having the alarm set up. It is also not because of unread messages/missed call.

Any help there guys?

It looks A W E S O M E !!

But I have one major issue...

I went back to the original ROM and SMS is working again. Other ways to fix this ?

If I could install the Sliding Panel Media on the original ROM, that also would be a great help ! Is it possible ?

I'm using non-English characters for my mail/calendar/SMS and they show up as squares because the Segoe-condensed font installed on the system only contains the Roman charcters set. I'd like to replace that TTF file with one that holds the complete character set. I'm not looking for a localized version - I love the English interface. I just wish to have non-Roman characters show up right.

Any idea where these font files are located?

You don't need to go to any other site. This is site is a master when it comes to help on HTC devices, trust me. Dr. G's ROMs always have a read me file. Please follow the instructions carefully and you will be through (Thats why he is the Doc around :D). I think your phone is operator locked and needs soft uspl. The directions for the same are in the readme file I mentioned.

I've only a problem with the contacts, I can't add any new contact or import from the SIM. The contacts from the sim are copied to the dial-up menu but not to the contact manager, like they were two different aplications. Is there any way to solve this?
And other problem is the alert for missing calss is in vibrating mode, and this is annoying due this phone vibrates too bad, but I din't find any way to change this.

I flashed this rom and it works fine, except it doesn't connect to activesync anymore.
I've read about flashing a new rom from the sd card if you have this problem, but it didn't solve the problem with connecting to ActiveSync.
What should i do?

Forget it. Found that you can only use the custom display and a background. And to change background you must use the options at the lower section of the screen.

hi, i just make my update to my HTC s710 from wm 6.0 to 6.1 but i have a problem with the bluetooth connection, i want to connect my phone to my laptop via bluetooth, on the older version of wm 6.0 when i make the bloetooth setting with my laptop i have com manager on the key 8 and there wasa a the next setting "connect via bluetooth" that setting allow me connection betwin my Phone and laptop, now at the comm manager data connection is unavailable so ...how can i make then connection with my laptop ..?

Hi All, Hope someone can help me. I have successfully flashed my S710 to the WM 6.1 v1.1 and its working great. I just have one small question however:
1: The battery icon drops to two notches (indicating half full) at about 60%. is there any way to change this so it reflects more accurately?

If anyone could help me with this, i would be most appreciative.

The battery bars are (from what I remember):
4: > 80%
3: > 60%
2: > 40%
1: > 20%
0: > 10%
!: < 10%
This is not different from the normal 6.0.
It is quite "accurate", but a % value does not really reflect true capacity. The translation form battery voltage to capacity% is done in the battery-driver and is not standardized, so "2 bars" on one model are not necessarily equal to another model of the same company and for sure not across companies (I had my share of experience with the BenQ E72). It is just like the gas-level in your car. The only real accurate compare is the battery voltage. But still there are so many things that a predicted battery level depends on (wear level, inner resistance, temperature) that spending time on that is really a waste. Take it as it is and note down your own experience for this device.

I doubt this - the fixed dialing is linked to the SIM card imho. You access it on WinMo with Settings->Telephone-> Fixed Dialing. You need PIN2 to activate/deactivate this setting.

Try another SIM to see if the phone works with this.

You do not need any tutorials buddy. Just go to the first post and follow the instructions.
Make sure your phone is not locked to a network. i.e. you did not buy the phone from a carrier, like vodafone, airtel or whatever.
