Installing Iconbar by itself/cab?

I was wondering if anyone has an idea how to get colored icons in the top bar.
I found that you can do it with the shadow here:

No it's not, i installed it on my friends shadow..it was just a cab install

Just delete from your windows directory Chome_iconbar_background.png and your background will show entirely......;)

i noticed tghat when ever i am using an internet explorer (e.g. ie, opera, deepfish or ibisx) my phone just randomly shuts off. and the same if i am in a phone call the phone just shuts rite offff...this happen to anyone else...because this is sooo annoying

I used to have the same problem. Turned out that my battery was at the end of its life (it couldn't handle the power draw that the data connections required.)

I have a battery for sale, its been used for a few months and still runs strong as new. PM me if interested.

Also have a couple chargers, and a plastic battery cover for sale if your cover is loose.

I had the same problem. I just ordered a new battery and it fixed the problem. My battery was a year and a half old. If anything was "heavy use" data etc....it would turn off. As soon as I replaced the battery it was like having a new phone.

I had the same problem and the battery thickness was "increased" , I think it is a common DASH problem

yea ima need a new battery, im looking at it and it seemd to have swelled a little bit. so new battery this week lol, once i take it off the charger in ten minutes battery goes to 80 percent with no usage

anyone know if it's possible to align the rinaku colored iconbar to the right side of the screen on the dash when using orientation 2?

i use the orange plugin to display the time and the icon bar on the same line... so orientation one, which takes up the entire screen width, doesn't work.

i can use orientation 2 which is a portrait orientation, but i need to be able to align it to the right side of the screen. currently it wants to align to the left side of the screen.

any help would be much appreciated.

Is there a cab or anything out there for Iconbar for WM6.1 with Landscape version (Excalibur)? I can't seem to find it and I don't want to go through another ROM just for this update.

Not only does this not work (I have kavana WM6.1 - the version just before the one including TopBar), but it also doesnt allow me to go into the Start Menu (it says "appman.exe" is not a valid Windows CE application). Once I uninstalled it it was working again. Any ideas?

anybody know how to make rinku iconbar works for 176x220 xphone IIm? I try to install a potrait version but still it did not work :(

I did it by installing the nrg then change the data to 176x220 in the xml file.
but the icon is cut by a few pixels and the battery and signal icon did not show on the homescreen. I think i have to tweak the dll file to fit 176x220. Anybody know how to tweak the dll file?

YOu have to pick the correct homescreen them to use the topbar. It usually has "top bar" in its name.

So I selected Sliding Pane - NRG but it fails to load...the hourglass/waiting icon continuously spins...

Anyone else having problems with this? It makes my dash act weird sporatically... like the soft button menus lock up along with the screen. I already tried this iconbar with kavana rom and ricky v14 and v23 roms... :mad:

I used facade, selected it to replace the "stock" iconbar and it works just fine. The iconbar is "resident" at all times so I would guess that is the way to go.

yea ive thought about going back to facade, but i dont know, i do love my sliding panels, but i dont have a photo dialer to use with it.

you can basically have iconbar in any of your homescreens. but the topbar (iconbar) plugin had to be in your homescreen.xml file for it to showup.

for example. ( taken straight off of organicm's homescreen.xml file):

the part in BOLD is what needs to be in your .xml home file to get the iconbar ( this is all assuming you installed rinku's iconbar to begin with)

Yeah, happened to me as well. I love the way it looks but it doesn't seem to be stable for me.

I am no RyanH, but I have been using this for quite some time. It's really nice as far as iconbars go. It hasn't frozen my phone, but as with any new install, you have to watch and see. You never what a phone is gonna do with aftermarket software put on it. I'd just reboot the phone a couple of times (turn off and on), and if it is still acting funny, uninstall the top bar and see if your phone is still acting funny.

Ususually, a couple of reboots will fix new installs that "mess" with your phone.

I hae had numerous problems with this where the screen turns to chsmbles and then does not display. This is the bane of my existence. I am running ricky's v23. The homescreen will appear sometimes but when you try to scroll down the panels collapse into themselves. This also causes corruption in the registry. You have to try to cycle between the homescreens combined with power cycling the phone which will eventually get you back to square 1 for a week or two.

ok I just wanna make sure that I understand this. I have been reading this thread over and over again but I am still not sure. the icon bar plugin only works for the home screen? and will change back to the old icons when you change to the other screens?

Installed the NRG Rinku cab file, and it isn't working...at all. I've installed STK just fine, but can't find the Rinku app anywhere. Any ideas?

You won't find the Rinku app. The cab just installs files, no app associated with it to open. If it doesn't show up on install, reboot. If it doesn't show up after reboot, then reinstall and reboot again. I have had to do it as many as 3 times before to get it to show up. I couldn't tell you why, but once it shows, I had no problems with it all. It worked perfect.:cool:

You need to change them home screen to sliding media, top bar. Top bar is the key.

Anyone know if there's a version of the iconbarplugin.dll that does NOT disable the background behind the icons? I been working on customizing a them and trying to make 4 versions. with and without the icons and with and without the background. I've got 3 of 4 working, 2 without the bar and 1 with, but the icons plugin disables the bar from showing in the 4th. the themes with the bar will automatically chance the color to match the button bar instead of using that chome_iconbar_background.png image.
