Ok here we go.

I sat and read guides for G4 wizards for 3 days. i then decided on a rom (AMP) and got the needed files to do my unit.

I decided to go for the HardSPL route as i thought i could try various roms without having to mess about between each one.

I tried flashing the AMP rom and it ran through fine, rebooted phone and i get WM5 again. So i try removing HardSPL and using SoftSPL. Removed it fine, tried softspl, same thing. Ran through the upgrade, got to 100%, rebooted phone, WM5 again.

So i change the rom, i try TNT rom, exactly the same.

I finally think its time to try the Locked CID method. I reflashed the phone using this method, and guess what, i get the WM6.1 rom, but its troublesome, doesnt always start up, after about 5 seconds it drops the provider operator logo and replaces it with No Sim. But i still have signal. My wireless lan wont connect (although i think thats something to do with WPA-PSK. I also notice on bootup that the IPL/SPL/GSM/OS version numbers come up in the top left of the screen but the GSM one not always showing, just a blank line.

I decided to reflash the standard O2 rom to the phone and go back to the start. Flashed the O2 rom fine and i am now back to WM5 but i think i broke something. Using WST i extracted this info.

Your CID block must be corrupted or file isn't
from a valid CID dump!!
Aborting operation.

I just put HardSPL back onto the device just so i could try again, but i need to know how to fix this CID problem i have.

Can anyone help me through what i need to do?

Thanks in advance

You are unlucky that have a CID with index 80, which recovery CID block is not provided due to some sort of problems.

The recovery thread is at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=307558 .

I think you should contact mestrini to get help on that.

The CID is not corrupted. It's a bug in the algorithm that can't calculate CID with key index 80. It's on my TO DO list. :( sorry

The problem must be something else.

i have left you a few messages one containing my CID block. But i did try flashing that once, dont know if it changed anything. The IMEI is good, phone was bought from new by myself. :)
