The Titan has the antenna port...

Does anyone sell an external antenna for the Titan/Mogul?

I use mine for data sometimes and the edge coverage here is spotty. If I could get the antenna outside thats all that would needed. A magmount (car), or even just the adapter wire would be fine.

Try places like Radio Shack at least maybe the might be able to point out who carries them. Here, in NW Arkansas Alltel carries the Antenna and the required adapters but I got mine at a local place called Wireless hook-up They Carry "Wilson Cellular" Accessories, not sure of exact name but Wilson something. I has a strong magnetic mount for the Antenna. Be careful about getting Matching Antenna and Adapter cuz the connectors vary. Also Adapter for a Motorola fits as the don't always carry the HTC one, I think it was V7 but can't remember. Good luck

Thanks... yeah, I have plenty of antennas to use, or could cut one to length...
I wouldn't ask anyone from Radioshack anything!

Does anyone actually know what adapter works? I don't want to just keep trying until I find one that fits. Mess up that connector and you're fuxed....

Try that to see if they has a local vendor. I found my package its Part# 359909. It's not for 6800 specifically but it works. It lists a few LG's, Moto's V710 V262 V265 etc. And the HTC Apache and 6700; and the Dash etc...

the old antenna from my Moto e815 car kit fits into mine.
Funny thing though it really dosent seem to help at all. Some times i think it drops a bar when i plug it in.
Any idea ?

Does adding an antenna increase speed of EVDO? i'm getting pretty crappy wireless speeds here in Albuquerque, NM (87123) like 200 down, 50 up, and I'm hoping for some improvement. if i have 3 bars, can i expect an antenna that may help me to get 4 or 5 bars to give me better speeds?

one more question: do I need to "enable" Rev-A in my EPST, under Data Parameters? right now, it says disabled, but i've never seen anyone recommending enabling it. i didn't notice any change on speed tests when i enabled it anyway, so i switched it back not wanting to mess anything up.

thx

A word of warning: I tried an external antenna just this weekend (June 14th) and now my phone is having problems getting a signal without the ext antenna being plugged in. I think the external antenna port disables the internal antenna and now my phone is stuck with the internal antenna disabled. I'm taking it to a Sprint store tomorrow to see if there's anything they can do. Does anyone know of a way to force it to use the internal antenna through software?

If you check the RSSI in your debug screen (##33284# for sprint...shows up as Rx Power) it's a better indication of signal strength than the number of bars. You want to be around -50 to -60 for the best speeds. It is possible that there isn't a Rev A enabled tower in your area yet, too, so signal strength might not matter at all...

200 kiloBYTES or kiloBITS? 200 kiloBYTES is really good.

Don't change the "disabled" in your EPST...it needs to stay as it is...

Can anyone tell me what the antenna is used for and why didn't we get one when we got the phone?
