Thanks for the specs.

The h/w is the same so if we get our hands on the ROM can't we just load it directly on a P3400 and make it a P3400i?

good thought dude ,

i also want this! but we have to find a guy who is working in HTC Service center because they have all original roms.

any ROM can be downloaded by us if we have HTC service center's LOGIN at htc.com ...

if any one know personally someone who is working in HTC service center please help us!!!!!!

Is this for sure? how do you know this?

And wouldn't the easier way be to extract the ROM from a willing friend's P3400i? or is the idea flawed?

an engineer at RT Outsource Ltd (HTC Service center) has told me that they download roms on their special portal ,but he is not ready to give me the roms file!!

so please try to find out ur links to get the rom.

If we cook a rom by running p3400i then it is not signed and create some trouble like previous roms we have installed .

and it will take a good time in research. so plz try to find out orignal rom.

I went to the RT Resourcing ( official htc service Center) in Kolkata to ask about the WM6.update , but the concerned person said that they did not get the ROM as yet and in turn he told me to check online of HTC had come out with any update.:eek: The Kolkata Service Center is of no use ..Guys try going to the Delhi and Mumbai Service Centers.

guys they're not help us officially ,and I don't think they will take bribe, if anyone know someone personally then it is possible !

above a friend said, he visited service center,they also unknown about htc has released p3400i....

ask them for p3400i rom. I have tried but no use...... try ppl plz..

Guys i really dont understand why you all crib for an older version of the rom when we developers are running WM6.1

Chuck that WM 6.O(standerd) which is there in P3400i and run Lomlom's Gene wm 6.1 update:)

ya man but it is not original rom ,having some root certificate problem and also sms problem..

What exactly is the problem that you are facing . i am running the same ROM and has no issues.. Search in the forum for that fix .

Well the tool is going to split the ROM into 2 parts , OS.nb( the core rom) and EXROM... After which we have to get it back to Flashable version.. I guess our own homie LOM LOM or myself can help you guys with that .:)

Don't upgrade your P3400i as we are still unable to find a patch for SPL .
as your phone comes with a CID( country id) to upgrade any phone with CID we need to patch this part of information of phone chip, sometimes its temporary called Soft SPL and sometimes permanent called Hard SPL.

So far the patch available on this forum is for P3400 only, if you use this patch on P3400i the phone will loose its ID and then the rom upgrade utility finds a matching phone so gets aborted and your phone will remain stuck at bootloader screen , its not dead but you can call it a Comma situation.

So enjoy the current OS your phone having till there is definitive unlocking solution for P3400i.:)

I have p3400, and i tried to put lomloms diamond style on it, and several others!
I managed to get to the point of starting the rom update utility!
And with every rom i get an error report that i need a newer update for my pda!
Why is that?

other scenario is that d upgrade starts and stops at 2 percent and says that d image is corrupt

Since I am a noob I will list all details relevent or irrelevant

Rom:version 1.10.415.2 wwe

model No: gene100

os 5.1.422(build 15633.3.2.0)

and it should be p3400 as it says on it

I tried olipros patch but it didnot do it, i tried it several times but it even didnt start d process of upgrading, it reports that i need a newer update!
And when i try any other rom or this one directly(without d white screen), the process starts but stops at 2% and it reports that the image is corrupt!

I tried it all several times, and it is always d same, I even got a step by step pdf from a russian site(which i accidentely found, since I cant read russian) which explains everything really good, but something I am doing wrong or my device shows me wrong data i dunno?

Sorry for my poor language skills(at least in programmer way)!

and thanks for even answering, it gives me hope I will manage to put a good rom on my gene!

Remove battery under it there is a sticker there you can find if its P3400 or P3400i

this means your phone is stuck at tricolour (bootloader) screen??
