This is the company that produced the GUI for the iphone and it now also has similar ones available for the kaiser. These will appear on your today screen as a full user interface and runs very smooth.

Some of the products have to be purchased but the main ones are shareware

Hope you all enjoy

EDIT: Obviously the icons aren't the same as the iphone as apple owns the graphics

I take it you are on about their product "X-Cube". Sadly, it's the product with the least amount of information. The O2 Active UI is also available on there (and seems to be free). Last time I used that was on my wizard where I removed it asap because it didn't appear able to cope.

I wonder if my Kaiser would manage it.

Good find! ;)

can't really knock it as its be best i've seen bar htc's own. its not really clear enough fr me what each of the buttons do or mean. if its not intuitive then i can't recommend. it looks great and feels initially like you should love it however after5mins of working it i'm back to my htc home. sadly...

Which one? I tried the one labelled "V2R Active UI v1.0" and it was a bit crappy, I had a whole pile of free things already which were better.

The one labelled Active UI Multitouch (which is shown in the picture above) had issues (praise be for safe mode) on my Kaiser, but I am guessing it is something to do with the fact that I don't use WMP and I have Mobile Shell installed.

I was hoping for something similar to the O2 Active UI which they are showcasing here -

I probably ought to go yoink the cab off my Wizard when I see my Dad next.

These guys had kinetic scrolling on the today screen before everybody else, they just never improved on the friction which made it too slow to make a splash. Then they sell you icons at this day and age. They obviously took a few tips from Apple.

This is true but when they were the creators of the GUI for the iphone they know the company will now be reputable enough to start charging for additional icon packs

Stop lying and spreading this BS. These people had nothing to do with the iPhone's GUI. The iPhone's UI was wholly created in-house by Apple.

This whole topic is stupid.

Not sure what you're talking about, the iPhone GUI was produced by APPLE, not an external company. You must be dreaming...or maybe you just smoke some pot.
You just make a fool out of yourself by claiming this, just stop it.

Remember though that Apple STOLE MacOS from Xerox. Just saying.

Oh and... Calm Down Mr. Jobs. No one is going to take your Apples.

This product is pretty crappy and slow compared to a lot others out there. I also had problems removing Point UI from my device... yuck.

It was slow to respond, setup was very frustrating and not very intuitive, programs are hard to find and difficult to sort through... No real improvements and it limits viewable area a lot with the "touch to open" feature taking up a big portion of the screen. If you want something like this I would go with Ultimate Launch or SPB Mobile Shell.

I mainly use(and develop) Microsoft Windows products, even if I'm a registered member of the Apple Developer Network.
Not sure what you're trying to imply but following your twisted reality, Bill Gates stole Windows from Big Blue...well...he paid a couple of bucks for it.

Anyway, I'm still not sure what you're trying to say but one thing is for sure: Apple DID NOT outsource iPhone GUI development, this is a FACT and you can rant about it all day long, it doesn't change the truth.

Please close this thread mods, its no longer about a new UI for Kaiser, its now become a thread about who made or stole desktop operating systems. Keep it on track peeps, to many pointless threads here. Lets keep it relevant.
