manila/HTC-inspired s2u2 theme here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2415033#post2415033)
looks like this:

FIRST POST IS WMSTARTUP, SECOND IS S2U2

I wanted to make my startup look professional and clean, and get rid of that Sprint animation that jumbles around on the original HTC Touch..

this is what I came up with:

(It is available with or without the cannabis in between "smart mobility")
http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/4388/welcomehead96wj0.png...... this is welcomehead.96.png
I will attach both cannabis and non cannabis

http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/1740/animatedlq5.gif..... this is the animated.gif (comes before welcomehead)

I initially tried to make it blend from the splash screen, but couldnt find where to get the original htc black splash screen nor could I perfectly recreate the exact location of the "htc" and "smart mobility", so I figured I would just create my own size.

anyway, here are the files in the .zip.... you will have to change the name of welcomeheadnocannabis.96.png (rename this to welcomehead.96.png)

there is also a faster version of the animated.gif, so you can try either one, the faster one is very slightly faster

IMPORTANT:
I suggest this (it makes the animated .gif at startup smoother):

get total commander and go into your registry
HKLM\Software\HTC\StartupAnimation\DelayPerFrame.. ...80
HKLM\Software\HTC\StartupAnimation\Enabled........ ......1
HKLM\Software\HTC\StartupAnimation\NAME OF YOUR GIFFILE......wherever you saved it
HKLM\Software\HTC\StartupAnimation\Volumn......... ......1

Enjoy!

and by the way.. make sure to drag the welcomehead.96.png and animated.gif you want to use to your \windows directory with program like TotalCommander (http://www.ghisler.com/ce.htm), which will prompt overwrite

Here is s2u2 dark skin if you would like.. (includes the slider, the notification buttons and the call buttons)

http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/6936/darkprevieway5ew9.jpg
you have to drag all the graphics in "dark graphics" to the GFX folder in s2u2 folder on your device and overwrite the originals

Here is the animated GIF wallpaper for s2u2, if you like the speed of the below GIF as it is, I suggest you turn off the "Override GIF speed option"... I have not played around with the override function for this GIF yet so do not know a good setting within S2U2

And here is the static wallpaper (also available with no cannabis):

i currently have no image for s2u2, does having an image use battery since technically it requires power to display the animated gif?

I have noticed only minimal loss of battery when using small animated gifs.. it all depends on how long you have s2u2 run the GIF, which you can change in the options, and also how big the animated GIF file is.

I havent noticed much drain with these I made, but you can run them and see if they do on your device. If there is any battery drain it is very, very slight.

but the regular jpegs have no effect

enjoy!
