My Startup Animation Stopped Working

I have a HTC Tilt. The .gif stopped working. I tried to use the Advanced Config and also the registry editor. The only thing I did to my phone was change the Welcome screen. I put the welcome screen back to default and still nothing. I only get the AT&T screen all the way to the Dutty's screen. I did a soft reset multiple times. I also tried to change it to another .gif file but that doesn't show. Is there anything that I missed?

I also made sure the .gif file works by clicking on it in Explorer. Any ideas?

change the name to animated.gif and then soft reset

I just tried that but it didn't work. I put the welcome screen back on and that works. Doesn't really matter to me but it would be nice and this could help someone else.

maybe cuz u've already messed up the reg?? cuz i can change in and out gif's by renaming them animated.gif and then replacing the old one in the windows folder..

Maybe I did mess it up? Can anyone post what they show in the registry for the StartupAnimation and StartupAnimationEngine folders?

go back to ur regedit and change the soccer file name to animated.gif then put the gif u want, name it animated.gif and then place it in the windows folder...soft reset...see if that works out for u

EDIT: do as well in the advanced config
