Howdy, I have the Vario 3 incarnation of the Kaiser and have had for the last 5 months, I've run it pretty standardly, not upgrading any software or tweaking to any degree. software installation has only run to tcmcp player and google maps along with opera. Recently however i've experienced a problem with sms;

Essentially the sms inbox/sent screen has started acting oddly, tapping on a text message no longer opens it, it selects it along with the first message on the screen (similar to pressing CTRL while selecting multiple files in windows) mad tapping of the screen will open a message but it is the top message, the only way to get into the message i choose is by not using the touchscreen and scrolling down through the hard keys. Also when sending a text the formatting has gone all weird and it will start moving down the lines by itself.

As an example i am currently sending my friend a message calling him a swine and what i intended to send was

'Swine Swine Swine'
it's come out as:
'Swine
Sw
I
ne
S
Wi
N
E'

once it's tabbed down to the next line if i try to move the cursor back up it just immediately moves back down to next line. Switching the handset off and back on again fixes the formatting but only for a limited period (i get one text) then it switches back.
I've done a reset settings but i'm pretty stumped to be honest. and also a hard reset followed by a soft reset so it doesn't load t-mobile stuff just now still no solution.

Any suggestions?

oh it's using the default windows 6.1 fully updated at the moment.

oh is there a beginners guide to tweaking and so on with roms, i wouldn't mind getting this thing a touch snappier and understand there's a risk of bricking your device but would like to minimise my chances :)

never heard of that problem, and yes there are many guides on how to update your rom. I'm new and i found it fairly easy to put new roms on my kaiser.
