how can i dismiss the popup windows that let me know theres a new sms
i want to leave only the icon in the upper bar.

Or you can at least play around with your phone...hmm, where would one go if he/she wanted to change the personal non-system setting that notified him on screen about a new sms?? How about in Settings and under notifications? Just a thought. Give it a shot.
