GPS Problem

Hi,

Please help....

I have AT&T 8925 TILT, the GPS fixed very very slow. I installed quickGPS and and nothing.


ROM verison: 1.56.00.00
ROM Date: 08/28/07
Radio version: 1.27.14.09
Protocol version: 22.45.88.07H

is this ok ? can i update something or change configuration to fix this problem ?

What port are u using? look for "Gps Test" run that and see what settings the GPS gets fixed on. Then Use those on you GPS software and wait for it.
What GPS software are u using?
How long are u allowing it to get a fix? Sometimes it can take a good 3-10 minutes the first time

1. I use port no. 1 rate 57600

2. i use miomap, iGO, GPS tuner.... all GPS softwares.

3. 3-5 min to fix

4. another problem is: I get 2 quick updates from the GPS every 2 seconds and not 1 update every 1 second.

Is this a problem ?

Try changing the settings in your softares to: port 4, with a rate of 9600

If that doesnt work find and doanload GPStest, run it and find what configuration it uses. then use that to configure your softwares.
