wing users with tmobile and wireless internet(at home)

i have a question.
something ive never been able to figure out.
i used to have a tmobile dash(excalibur) and i could go to CommManager->Wifi Settings then it would give me a list of networks that are available.

my wing doesnt do that.
do i have to do something else?
maybe reg tweaks or something.
i cant even get on the internet on my wing if its connected to my computer and i use internet sharing.

Have you tried Settings -> Connections -> Wireless LAN

When you turn it on it should give you a list of networks

If not from there select Menu -> Wi-Fi and there should be a list

if you select Menu again you can turn On/Off Wi-Fi

I use Wi-Fi a LOT! with the HTC Network Plugin (http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-network-folder-plugin-v1-0.html) its really easy to share files from my PC to Phone over the network

yeah ive tried that.
uner wireless lan it gives an option the says"turn on wireless lan" i click it and it does nothing.
i go to comm manager to turn on wifi, it does nothing(shows the ait animation the just keeps it off.

You might have to turn on the Wi-Fi twice if its disabled by startup, but it looks like you've already tried more than twice without a soft reset so i'm out of ideas, maybe try a different rom, you might be missing something

Edit: Also it Might be a hardware problem

Try a different ROM first, if it still does not work i guess u'd have to

yeah i couldnt do it even with tmobile stock rom.
ive tried all roms from touch-it to open touch

that sucks man, i just got my wing today, and withen 5 minutes of ownership i flashed it to open touch 4 , and got my wifi going off the bat =p

I've noticed that you have to turn on WIFI twice in order to get it to work...

ey can you or some one help me do this or that i just got my wing and want the touch 4 on it. As you can see im a rookie at this seeing this is my first post lol but some one please help me figure all this stuff out. I dont know how to do any of this stuff ive been reading the forums for a few days and need help.:confused:
