View Full Version : htctoucher improved Bubble Theme, PCMContact

here is the previous version (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2071362#post2071362) of this theme (different contact panel images). Check out the previous version to get touchpal skins to PCMKeyboard also.
It is now significantly faster once loaded, and the landscape looks better as well.
!!UPDATE!! - v2.1
...fixed options page (can see text now)
...added contact picture in sms view
...supports v.25!!
Main differences from last version (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2071362#post2071362):
.....Main Contact, Contacts with SMS, and Favorite view are simpler, smoother and more appealing I think.
..option to shrink bubble to text (place settings.ini file found in "settingsini for shrink fit.zip" attached in your PocketCM folder by itself)
And here is the preview:
http://img176.imageshack.us/img176/4170/bubblepreview2ig8.jpg
(by the way, the blurring of the contacts in the preview kind of ruins the look of that part of the theme, so truthfully it looks even better once you get it on your device)
So.. attached are htctoucher Bubble Theme 2.0.zip and
htctoucher Bubble Theme 2.0 GNA.zip (now in second post)
GNA are Gradient No Arrows from my first theme (which you can find in my signature under compilation) and is the preview on the right, while the regular 2.0 is the SMS view on the left in the preview
I realized I had forgotten to add the keyboard in the preview above.. unzip the contents of the "touchpal bigger light.zip" into your PCMKeyboard folder on your device and select them in Options!
I have updated the keyboard to look like this:
http://img90.imageshack.us/img90/7705/touchpalgiftb6.gif
it is the htctoucher bubble touchpal.zip
Enjoy!
be sure to check out my other stuff in my signature!

I dont really have any way to test VGA, so that would be difficult for me to do... I think some users on PocketCM website have made themes into VGA, maybe you could ask around for someone willing to do this? If you get the settings.ini file done in VGA form, I will redo graphics.

For making it blue instead of gray, just open up all the graphics in the .zip that are grey and color balance them to be blue in photoshop or some program like that... if you need more help dont hesitate to ask
Glad you like the theme!

Sure
Download whichever theme (which is a .zip file) you like (basically just choose which SMS bubbles you like) from the first post
then, drag the .zip file you downloaded to the PocketCM Contacts folder on your Device (I am not sure where this is or what it is called on your device)
then in options within PocketCM Contacts - which you will find by holding down the phone button and releasing on the settings cog icon - press the button "Select Theme" and select the name of whichever theme you downloaded and placed in the PocketCM Contacts folder
hope that helps

Okay.. I will attempt to make a VGA of this theme!
Sorry to say this but it is not going to be very soon, I wil try to start working on it this weekend, but it could be another 2 weeks before I complete it (the settings file is going to be difficult for me since I dont have a VGA device and have not had a lot of time for themeing lately)
Hope that's not too long to wait!
thanks for your interest

all you need to do is download the .zip file and then move it into your PocketCM folder on your device
but dont unzip it!!
then go into settings/options of PocketCM and press "select theme",
then choose this one
hope that helps
Enjoy!

Is there any way you can implement alphabet seperators into this version. I think it makes the theme look a lot cleaner plus it helps out for people with a lot of contacts. Also do you know of a way to complete eliminate the second line of the contact. I really don't need it there and I was trying to edit themes and I can't seem to get rid of it without changing the color of the text to the background or highlighted color. However this doesn't work to well when the background is a gradient. Thanks.

if you want separators you can edit the settings file and change it from 0p to about 20p or something
and to remove secondline.. set format to none or the .box for secondline to 0,0,0,0
that should work
hope that helps

you just have to leave the second line format blank in the settings. It worked perfectely. Unbeleivable. THank you so much.
